Five stars is not enough for Lynda at LP Cleaners. My husband and I eloped in the Abbey of Le Mont St. Michel, France. After a drizzly day of walking around an island and buildings made of stone centuries ago, my dress was stained beyond anything I expected. My photographer was kind of enough to bring the dress back to the states while my husband and I honeymooned in Europe. When I returned, 2 weeks later, I grabbed the suitcase from him and went directly to Lynda to get it cleaned before our U.S. reception. When we opened the case, the smell of mold came wafting out. The dress was actually still wet after two weeks. I asked her to just do whatever she could do and was preparing myself for my dress never being the same. Not sure why this cleaners has such good reviews. My experience here is very disappointing. 1.) prices are not the greatest and the their discounts are confusing. 2.) the lady who works the front desk, not sure if she is the owner or just an employee but she is not friendly at all. 3.) last and most importantly, good luck trying to get your clothes when you want, the staff (employees) leave the cleaners whenever they want or need to run errands. Meaning you go there and you will see a sign saying "be back later" (keep in mind this is during business hours) it hasn't happened to me once but twice. For these reasons I will not be back. I don't recommend them at all. PS: I spoke to the lady about leaving at random times and she said that's very common for her. I don't use dry cleaning services very often, but I spilled Chinese food on my sweater and had no choice. Their open hours are reduced due to COVID, but I still had to wait because no one was there at there new posted open time. Original open hours were 7:00am and because of COVID new hours are 8:00am. The owner didn't show up until close to 8:30. That being said, I know businesses are all doing their best at this time. My disappointment came because on one occasion they left a spot on my shirt. She noticed and kept it so they could clean again. When I picked up there was still a faint spot on my shirt, but I let it go. On another visit I dropped off my sweater and when I went to pick it up, the price was higher than I was expecting but it was my fault for not asking before I left. My total was $9.80. I handed her my debit card and she said that the minimum to use a card was $10!!! Really?! You are going to make me get some cash for not meeting the minimum by $.20. I was very disappointed. For me it's all about customer service and principal. I probably won't be back. read more
