I moved to Cypress last Fall from Spring (Texas) and needed to find a new tailor. I went to Cypress Tailor & Alterations because of the Yelp reviews. I needed some white bathroom curtains shortened and hemmed up. They did an excellent, professional job and will definitely use them again. They completed my project within two weeks as promised as well. My only comments are two-fold: (1) you have to pay up front for the work when you drop it off (which I find very odd but a bit understandable, however I would think 50% would be more reasonable) and (2) they don't take debit or credit cards. You have to pay in cash or check. I rarely ever have cash and I got rid of checks years ago and use my debit card or cash apps like Venmo, Paypal, and Zelle. (If I have a really big project, I get a money order or cashier's check from Wells Fargo.) That's about it. P.S. They are located in a strip mall as a FYI on location only. read more

My pant length is a between sizes off the rack. Took in a tuxedo and a suit to be altered. I was in and out in under ten minutes, they were finished in a day! The length is perfect and the hem line is hidden as it should be on suits, so I highly recommend. I've paid a lot more for the same work at other places, so I am very pleased with how great the work is for how little I paid. read more

Took my bridesmaid dress here to get tailored after I ordered it off Etsy. I needed about 6! inches hemmed and the shoulders taken up. Every one was friendly and they let me know how much each thing would cost, plus the fact that they only take cash or check. This was nice to know up front. They had wonderful reviews but when you go to someone to have them alter a dress on a time constraint and they measure nothing you end up with a dress that's been let out too much and not enough length taken off. I don't know if they understood that I would be wearing converse with the dress but obviously not because I spent the entire wedding walking on the dress and trying to avoid it from slipping off of my body completely. read more

I was in Houston for two weeks visiting family and needed my Burberry coat sleeves shortened. It's an expensive jacket so I was a little bit reluctant with handing it over to just any tailor, but after I read everyone's reviews I felt good about the decision.
