Once Again I got a dress back from here, 100% polyester and they couldn't get the stain out. Okay I understand that, but my wife noticed there was another stain on top of the shoulder that was also had something on it. BEWARE: DO NOT go here. They will ruin your clothes. I am new to the area so I looked at reviews online for the places around me. I see the reviews for Spencer's and I'm impressed. I take 4 items to test them out well 2 of the 4 items one was a wool cashmere sweater and the other one was a 100% cashmere sweater. I get the text that the items are ready for pick up. She leads to tell me that my gray wool/ cashmere sweater was damaged in the cleaning process that there were hole in it already there and invisible to the naked to eye to where you can't see it until it goes through the cleaning process and they get bigger. What in the world of excuse is that. No maam I tell her this sweater was just ordered! Very unprofessional be careful with your items definitely the worst of the worst! read more

Wanted to get a shirt taken in at the waist, extremely minimal work. She said $80 (shirt wasn't even that much). So I said ok I have another shirt that needs alteration maybe that will be cheaper- to which she responded "it looks like you don't have money so we don't want to work with you". I laughed because it was so ridiculous but owners like that should just go out of business. Plenty of tailors around town that aren't rude jerks and appreciate your business. Damaged clothes. Refused to admit mistake. Nextdoor full of similar complaints. Not only is it bad enough that someone damages an expensive garment, but they lie about it, and then become aggressive and unprofessional. This unfortunately has happened to about a half dozen other people in my local neighborhood and now it's happened to me. My advice: if you HAVE to use this cleaner, confirm with them beforehand that there is no damage and have them initial a drop off receipt for your own protection. That way, when they damage an item, you have backup. I won't ever use them again. read more

I've been going to this dry cleaners for over 8 years, & all my dry cleaning comes back perfectly each time. The alterations lady is an absolute wizard. I've had pants expanded, prom dresses shortened, you name it. All excellent (no show) work. The lady at the front desk is wonderful too. Very organized & always friendly. If the clothes for dry cleaning are dropped off by 9, they are ready by 4 that day. Otherwise they are ready by 3 the next day. They are reasonably priced, professional & so polite. I just assumed all places were like this. But recently heard horror stories from friends about their experiences at other places. I highly recommend this one. Really had a wonderful experience with this place. Cleaned a tux, some shirts and reinstalled a pants clasp. Did an excellent job and were so nice! Greeted me with smiles and were very attentive. I been to this place a few times , they are really expensive and don't have customer service at all . Their English is poor , last time I went they wanted to charge me 16 dollars for a jacket they cleaned before and never mention about been charged separately because of the material!. I ask one of them why and she started making her math and It came out to be more then before. I ask her why and she said she did it wrong the first time. I got my clothes back and leave. These folks know how to chase a buck! I had to pick up my dry cleaning here on Saturday morning. I was in a bit of a rush, so I opted for the "drive thru" service area. Pulled up, got my clothes, handed the nice little Asian lady six dollars (a five and a one). She fanned them, as if counting... ...Then an enormous gust of wind blew the one dollar bill out of her hand! I was momentarily speechless...that bill took serious flight and was 75 yards downrange in a matter of seconds. What happened next was even more impressive...the lady dove out of the window, squeezed herself between my car and the wall of the drycleaners...and took off at a dead run after the bill. Right into traffic...there's a car wash next door and a steady stream of customers pulling in on a busy Saturday morning.!! She finally stepped on the bill...I estimate she'd gone over 100 yards...the length of a football field...for a lousy dollar. I've heard of business folks "chasing a buck" before, but had never experienced it..literally...first hand! Oh, and for the record: low prices, fast turnaround, and friendly staff (except the elderly grandmother who works there occasionally...she never smiles. They always have my shirts clean and pressed before pick up, and are priced amazingly! On the are occasion that something comes back wrinkled they will redo it the next day for free! I've lived in houston for 15 years and this place is the best I've found from Katy to Galleria area. Prices are very reasonable and they are very personable, caring and thorough. I've tried several dry cleaners all over the houston area and always had issues with rude employees, lost pieces, whites looking dingy, pieces ruined, basic spots/stains not removed and even directed that if there were spots/stains that I wanted treated and removed, I had to show them so it could be noted... which I don't have to do when dropping off at Spencer's. They assured me they would make sure every garment is inspected to deliver clean clothes. They even check for color bleeding and will advice if they are concerned with ruining a garment from the color bleeding. If I ever move out of the area, I will drive the extra miles to continue using these guys for all my dry cleaning and any other services they offer. If you are looking for a dry cleaner, I highly recommend you try them out. You won't be disappointed. read more

Ripped (shredded) an expensive shirt in their washing machine. First, told us they didn't wash it, but we smelled it and could tell it was washed. Then, changed story and said they did wash it. Would not take ownership and said we did it. We understand Accidents happen but take ownership. We are out a shirt and will never go there again. Will post on social media as well. I was a regular here for over 4 years, one day I brought a batch of clothes to be cleaned, picked up my clothes after work. When I got home I noticed a tear on a brand new shirt that I have never worn. So I called and spoke to the manager. She had the audacity to tell me that the shirt was like that when I dropped it off, and that we had a conversation about it. This never happened. They gave me way below the replacement cost of what they messed up, and left an extremely bad taste for how they behaved. Wow, never saw such unprofessional behavior! BUYER BEWARE! I have had my clothing stolen at Spencer Dry Clean. The theft was very coordinated from me being given an out-of-sequence receipt number, a couple of my invoices were missing for no apparent reason, etc. On another occasion, one of my hangers had 2 wire inlets for a single item giving a false appearance of the number of items being returned. Additionally, the cleaning quality is very, very poor. Too many times my clothes were returned very dirty (i.e. wrinkled, crooked creases, filled with lint, etc...) The cleaning products are substandard. I would not buy theses products to use at home. The ownership changed in about Sept/2013. The current owners (husband and wife) as well as the staff do not communicate well, or act very professionally. They could have not cared less that I was a good and loyal customer, and that my clothes were stolen. This place will soon be out-of-business! read more
