*****Update**** I took my pants back to be sewn because they were not done correctly the first time. The older male, I'm assuming he's the owner said to me "well maybe it's your body that's crooked" I could not believe he had the audacity to blame me and not accept accountability for his actions. I said "no maybe it's your hands because you actually didn't do the work correctly". I picked my pants up about a week later and he didn't greet me much less wanted to make eye contact with me. I will never have anything altered at this establishment ever again. ************************************ Just noticed the items they sewed are uneven. Now I have to go back. Do not bring your suits here. Went in to get a suit tailored. When getting the suit sleeves taken care of I told them I wanted some cuff to show. With suits and showing cuff that is between a 1/4-1/2 inch. When I picked up the jacket I addressed the concern of the suit sleeves being taken up too much. The response I received was "you said you wanted cuff to show" and "it's normal" followed by him walking away. Now I am left with a suit where the whole cuff is showing past the suit sleeves. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I took them an expensive piece of upholstery fabric that I asked them to cut to 48x38, sew a channel all the way around, run the elastic through the channel & sew it shut. they butchered the fabric, cut it in many pieces, did not use my elastic, they stole it. There is ribbing on 2.5 sides of it of it and the rest of the cover has none. They tried to sew all the pieces back together which put seams where none should be, then used a cheap .99 cent elastic that will never survive a washing. Then add that the cover is far too big. This was a simple fast job, there was never a need to cut it into pieces and it can't be fixed. They did a Frankenstein job on costly upholstery fabric & called me picky for being upset. I would take nothing to them & I am withholding payment to them. I need to add that they spoke English only when it suited their need to do so. read more

The previous owner did amazing work on my alterations for several years over the course of a few years. When someone took over I thought I would give it a chance. What a disappointment! I brought 4 items. They ruined a skirt that they replaced the elastic belt on - back side 2 inches shorter than front and unwearable. 2 of the pants seam that were coming off came off within 3 weeks. Veronique is AMAZING and honest. I brought in my jumpsuit to be altered and I wanted it shorter but she suggested I should go a lil longer though keep the shape-glad I did. I also brought a custom made bench cushion that needed a new cover. She did an amazing job and even suggested that she can try and use the zipper so I can save $! I really appreciated that. Veronique helped me figure out each suit's needs and also why it had to be tailored that way. She has very reasonable prices as well. Wow, Veronique blew me away from start to finish at her little store on Yale. I'd been on the hunt for someone in the area, and stumbled upon her shop on Yelp. Boy was I glad I did! I took her four dresses to alter and she did a phenomenal job with each one. There is also a large selection of fabrics at her store. Veronique's work is top quality and she will pay attention to details. I also give her all my alterations, as I know she will do a perfect job. She can handle complex alterations, including adjusting the design. Oh my god. This place is amazing. I had to get my bridesmaids dress altered and they did a PHENOMENAL job. Prior to this i had lost about 3 inches on my waist, and no one would take the dress in that much, but then I found A Blue Seam, and they took it in, no questions.
