There's still a 2-for-1 on Thursday; however, I had to have 2 of my nicest shirts redone TWICE because of poor pressing, despite my request for hand ironing. Been going to this location for several years now. Since the acquisition by Tide Cleaners things have changed a bit. Recently was surprised when I was greeted with a near $200 invoice for 20 shirts, which came out to about $9.25 per shirt. I've been accustomed to $3-4 per shirt for several years. They lost a very expensive dress shirt of mine. When I went to pick it up they said give them time to look for it. I kept following up and they finally said they must have accidentally given it to someone else. Fine, mistakes happen. The issue was in their rectifying of the mistake. Rather than owning up to it and making it right, the employee I spoke to offered store credit. When I said I'd prefer to get some kind of reimbursement, she said "well clothes depreciate just like anything else so you won't get much but you can fill out a claim form." Again, odd to me that they wouldn't just own up to the mistake and make it right, but I went to pick up a claim form, where they told me I would have to attach a receipt. I bought the shirt in a different state months prior to this incident, and because of the cleaners' mistake I had to call the store and get them to track down an old order and send me a copy of the receipt. I returned to the store (for a third time) with a filled out claim form and copy of the receipt. They took the form, and despite my following up multiple times in the weeks after, I never received any update and certainly no reimbursement. At this point it's been months and, after jumping through their hoops to try to get some kind of reimbursement and being made to feel as if I was in any way responsible for this business losing my shirt throughout the process, I have not received an update or reimbursement. Also, they still made me pay for the items they cleaned that they didn't give away to someone else. Great example of poor customer service ruining a situation that would've been salvageable and in fact could've turned into a really positive experience with better service. read more

A great service for a fair price. So far I have used them only to launder and press some clothing while I am transitioning homes. They have done a good job and I have no issues with their quality. Really treated us well and provided great service. We were later than the drop off but since it was important they were willing to get it done for us. So I really appreciate it. I will certainly be returning with my business. They have an ongoing two for one deal on Thursdays which is helpful if you have a lot of laundry to do. read more

AVOID. I dropped off two down comforters with pee stains on them and was quoted $60 both times. I went to pick both of them and they said one hasn't been cleaned because it's actually $89 because it has the pee stain and the other one was cleaned as a pet stain vs pee stain so it still smells like shit. All I got was a sorry so I basically wasted $66 bc now I have to go take it to eagle cleaners who I know will do a good job. read more

I decided to start going to this cleaners because my one cleaners is on the other side of the inner loop (Weslayan Cleaners). My friends make fun of my loyalty to Weslayan Cleaners because I drive so far for my laundered shirts. The lady there remembers my name despite going in once or twice a month and I feel comfortable with their services (don't understand their low score). I've been to this Wolfe's twice and I'm not sure if it is 4/5 star or 2 star. I'm trying to figure out their starch situation. They also broke two different shirts collar buttons on the first time going. They did fix them for free the next go around. Wolfe's also appears to be significantly cheaper and they do I'll try them a few more times and see if I want to start my long dry cleaning trek again. I do know for alterations I will go back to Weslayan, since I know they do a great job for a reasonable price. read more

How do you know when a business is on its final swirls before going all the way down the toilet bowl? The last several reviews are 1 star. I have been in the Heights for about 15 years. Wolfe's is right on Studewood and conveniently located. But they are HORRIBLE. The first time I took shirts in to be cleaned, they came home with grease all over them. I vowed to never return and didn't until late last year. Mistake. After 2-3 times, they again ruined two of my shirts. The manager (Maria) refused to make it right, and had nothing but excuses. The worst! Stay away!!! I was given the wrong shirt upon pickup but did not realize it until I went to get dressed for my event. The store was closed by this time ....First thing Monday, I bring the shirt that I was erroneously given to the store and explain the absolute disaster that occurred as a result of being given a different persons shirt. To my surprise, the staff was apologetic and refunded my $2.98 and assured me that I would be taken care of on my next visit. Fast forward to today, my wife tries to bring a simple dress to be cleaned and is told the only credit on the account is $2.98; the manager was very unapologetic and could care less. During Covid-19, I dropped off a very large dry cleaning order to prepare to pack away my winter jackets and sweaters for the season. Upon receipt of my order, I noticed that several items were not included. Maria and Sylvia went above and beyond the call of duty to locate my items, keep me informed as to their progress, and provide a discount upon locating my items. They were both so sincere and apologetic about the inconvenience, but truth be told, it really was not an inconvenience as I was working from home and summer temperatures have arrived. I have mixed feelings about Wolfe Cleaners. Overall, they get my clothes really clean, and I love the 2 for 1 on Thursdays! I had a bad experience a few years ago wherein they ruined a dress (got caught in the press machine) and let me pay for it and take it home and no one said a word to me. After months of pestering them and trying to track down the manager they did reimburse me for the dress and even gave me some credit to use. I understand these things happen sometimes, but more than anything I was very frustrated with the lack of communication from the staff. I tried other cleaners in the area but my clothes kept coming back with stains, or the prices were high and customer service was even worse. I continue to go to Wolfe, but as a business owner myself, I would like to see them take ownership of mistakes and make it right up front instead of making the customer fight for a resolution. I was in town visiting my son and dropped my kilt off to be drycleaned. I dropped it off on Friday and they said it would be ready Tuesday after 5. When I picked it up on Wednesday morning it cost $18.00. this is normally a $5-10 item and I get it back much faster. It's ridiculously expensive and a long wait. They do an ok job on the dry cleaning but the last time I went in the plastic bags had a dark sooty type of material all over them. I had several white dress shirts in one bag. When I asked about it one lady just shrugged her shoulders and told me not to worry. I didn't like the response and started taking the bags off to inspect my clothes and got a look I disbelief from her. Sure enough, this stuff was all over the collars of my shirts... The staff told me that it's pretty normal here for that. In assuming it has to do with the grease/lubrication system of the tracks that hold the finished clothes. I'm not going back. DO NOT USE!! these people created a stain on my boyfriends nice dress pants and when they told me they would redo the cleaning and I can back to pick it up the stain was still there. I was able to pick them up later that day but after getting them home we saw that the belt loop stitching had been ruined and frayed. The pants are ruined. It was way too expensive for that. I would rather give two and a half stars as they are not horribel, but they are better than other palaces in the Heights. It is definatly not the cheapest or the fastest. I sometimes come back with stains on shirts or stains I have told them about are not fixed. However If I bring back they do fix any stains and do not charge me. I have never had rude customer service, but they are not over exicted either. But who would be working in a dry cleaner? They are cordial and nice. Same group of ladies have been there forever. I have never encountered a male, but maybe he is gone now or works different days? The building is older but it has been around for decades, I am sure they could use a refurb but I am not sure how that would work without closing the place down. They are on a supreem land in the Heights so I am sure it would cost a fortune to do. I had the absolutely worst experience for alterations at this place. After two weeks, I went in to get my things and she was just beginning. I decided to wait because it was such a small job. The clothes had a distinct and unpleasant smell after I had them cleaned. However, I could deal with the faint scent in light of their 2 for 1 deal on Thursdays. The Thursday deal could not overcome the fact that they misplaced my clothes and did not contact me when they found them (after the manager explicitly told me they would contact me when/ if the clothes were found). I had to contact the store only to show up to collect my missing clothing and not be offered any sort of compensation or discounted price. I have been to Wolfe's a couple of times and wanted to acknowledge them today. I requested one shirt for Dry Cleaning and two for laundering last week. Today they were presented to me as all dry cleaned which is double the price. I made it clear that I was explicit with the employee what I wanted when I dropped it off. Today's employee and manager didn't question me but adjusted the price accordingly and made a note for the next visit of what I prefer. I have tried this place 3 times, the second time it took me 3 return trips to finally retrieve all of my shirts. The 3rd time, i counted my 12 shirts before dropping them off, they returned 11 and said i only brought in 11. i checked my closet and was missing a shirt that i know i brought them, i called again a week later and the manager (sylvia) said that i must not have brought it, i asked if they had ever made a mistake counting someones clothes and not returned everything, and get this, she said NO! After about 20 minutes of back and forth she said "give me one more week and I PROMISE i will call you." well here we are 12 days later and nothing. I WILL NOT be returning here, very unwilling to admit a mistake on their end or take action to fix an issue. read more

Dropped off dry cleaning on Thursday and when I went to pick up on Monday, they told me it would be ready Wednesday. When I explained to them that I really needed my clothes for Tuesday they told me it would be ready by 5pm. Guess what? That didn't happen. So they told me to come back in an hour and it STILL wasn't ready. When it was FINALLY ready, they forgot one piece and misplaced the buttons, which they did find. Do not go to this cleaners. They are very unorganized. The first time I took my clothes there they admitted they lost 3 shirts. They told me to go home and look through to see what I was missing. I did and I came back several times to tell them what I found was missing. They had me fill out 2 reports of what I was missing. Every time I would call or stop by to speak to the manager they didn't have the report or know what I was talking about. I am now out $85 for a shirt I only got to wear twice. It in an interesting post-Art Deco, pre-Mid-Century Modern little building that you can't miss as you drive down Studewood. Great, friendly service, lots of regulars. Includes a drive through drop off which is nice when you are on the way to work. read more
