If you are Black, I strongly advise you not to support this business. I brought in my salon towels to be washed, and when I requested that they redo my bathroom hand towels (which had no dye or stains), they refused and treated me rudely. Instead of resolving the issue professionally, they became disrespectful and even went so far as to leave negative reviews on my business page, despite never visiting my salon. I was also called the "N" word and told to take my business elsewhere. It is completely reasonable for a customer to request a correction, but this business made it clear they do not value or respect Black customers. The staff member running the location was unprofessional and lacked basic customer service skills. I have since returned to my previous laundry service, even though it is farther away, because I prefer to be treated with dignity and respect. read more

Thumbs Up: I've been here with a friend, and the place is very clean. Thumbs Down: Parking is a major issue. Both times I visited, the laundromat wasn't busy, yet the parking lot was nearly full. On my most recent trip, there was only one open spot--and it was so awkwardly placed and potentially hazardous that it might as well not have existed. Because of this, I had to go to another laundromat instead. I suspect a nearby church is monopolizing the parking. This was my first time coming to a laundromat and I wasn't disappointed!! There were plenty of washers and dryers available which was nice. I had my big comforter that is too big for my washing machine at my place, so I was able to put it in one of the big washers which was nice. The lady working today was very friendly and told me what I need to do and how to use the machines. The only reason why I gave it a 4 star was because the dryer wouldn't fully dry my comforter after three 6 minute cycles (I couldn't extend the time) so I had to take my comforter home to dry. Where to start! From the moment I called ahead, someone answered so politely. I came in and everything was so CLEAN, smelled great, and best part the friendliness! My dryer went down in a rental property of mine, and I went to three laundromats before finding Soaps and Suds. They found a solution for me quickly and I was able to get started. I came here for the wash and fold service ($2.50/lb). Overall my experience was good. My clothes were finish within the same day, and they were folded and packaged well. If you want all of your clothes folded instead of some put on hangers, be sure to let them know when you drop off your clothes. Most of the clothes I brought were black (I wear a lot of black for work). My only issue is that some of my black clothes were faded significantly when I received them back. Also one of my black button down shirts came back feeling much rougher than usual. I've washed these clothes myself several times but never had these issues. You may want to bring black clothes elsewhere if you don't want them to come back looking old and worn out. Maybe they're a bit too rough some of the clothes. The staff is VERY friendly and helpful, the place is immaculately clean as in they would walk by and clean every few minutes, the machines work well, the location is bright and lit, and they offer WiFi and complimentary coffee. They have an ATM next to the coin machine in case you miscalculated how much you'd need... I've never seen that and it's an added bonus. I feel safe, relaxed and they play some nice music while you wait! They also offer some of the largest washers and driers I've seen so that's so helpful for larger comforters! read more

When I walked in, she asked me if I was dropping off my laundry and I said no. She said that parking was for drop off and I said I didn't know. She said there was a sign there. I came here as someone from out of town who was staying downtown at a hotel and didn't want to pay them almost $300 for laundry. Pros: There are a nice amount of washers and dryers. You can choose between $3, $4.50 and $6 washers. They also offer regular and extra large dryers. Cons: The place is under renovation. Due to this, not all of the washers and a good amount of dryers were not available due to construction. Once the renovation is complete, this should be a pretty nice laundromat. read more

This place is always clean. The staff and machines are inconsistent. I've had driers fail to dry even though the drier next to it was operating correctly. Staff nor management ever offered to pay for any a new drier or reimbursement. She only said the owners wouldn't spend money for any repairs. I've had quarters get stuck and I had to bang on top of the machine. I've seen other patrons do the same. Never has there been a complaint or comment until a new worker came in and went off on me in Spanish. Today, my washer had a error message (F2) which has never happened before. It also said 2 minutes remaining. I opened the door and my clothes were soaking wet. I spoke to an employee who took her mask off to talk. Masks are mandated to be worn. She went to get an assistant manager, who said there was nothing wrong. Coincidentally, there is a washer with an error that is across from us and also has an out of order note. The assistant manager said she'd pay for a dryer only. I told her that was not right. Her mask wasn't covering her nose. She said she didn't care. A new worker walked in and shouted, "hey ma'am. You cannot park there!" I've been parking there for over 6 months without anyone saying anything. I went to let them know I was moving my car but they needed to treat everyone the same. The woman introduced herself as the manager and was very insulting and rude. Wow! She invited me to make a comment in the box if I was unhappy. So sad. The initial worker could have gotten the assistant manager who could have said thank you for bringing it her attention, do you want us to pay to have your clothes completely washed? Anyone could have asked me to move my car because it is for drop offs only. I'm in my car, which I've moved and the manger has left. There's been a car parked in the drop off since 2:27 pm, it is 2:56 pm. The only difference between myself and them is that I am white! I guarantee you they will not be asked to move. They are racist. Racist establishment!!!! They are acting like I'm a terrorist because I asked for polite customer service and equity. I left at 3:35, the car parked in the drop off is still there. Finding a good dry cleaners in Houston has been a challenge for me. They are either too expensive. Too sloppy. Tear off buttons. Lose clothing. Or stain, yes, stain further my clothing. I am now trying my 3rd dry cleaning establishment since the one prior was actually quite wonderful, but high rent kicked them out of their domicile, which is honestly depressing. So, I did a yelp search and found Soap Suds. It had reputable reviews from people I know and trust. I've been to this establishment twice now, and I have been pleased each time! They send you an email notification when everything is ready to pick up and have a great tracking system to monitor your stuff. They have reasonable prices, they always live up to their promise of when they will be done with your clothing, and customer service is top notch - even when they are super busy! Clothes are always ready within 24 hours or less and very fair pricing. An additional plus is that they have easy to access parking lot with little risk of getting towed! Glad I found this place! I rarely use laundry services because I have a washer/dryer in my apartment. But I needed to wash my huge comforter and figured I'd wash everything including clothes to get it all done at one time. I work from home so it was great not having to use my hotspot because they provide free WiFi. Yay! Which goes to my cons. For me it is a bit expensive. I spent $30 washing 5 loads and drying. The dryers are not as good but it got the job done. The attendant that was there was friendly and nice. She even turned the music down for a little so that I could teach my class. I loved that there is a designated area to complete work as your clothes are washing/drying. My overall experience was great. My main concern was the price but since they had WiFi it made up for it. This laundromat is clean as advertised, with clean bathrooms, vending machines, an ATM, and change machines. They've got other amenities I didn't pay attention to but in short I'd have no problem doing my laundry here on a regular basis if I lived in Houston. HOWEVER BUBBLES IS NO LONGER HERE. I haven't been in a laundry mat in years. This place was nice and clean with a verity of machine sizes available to use. They have a friendly and helpful staff, WiFi & TVs. There were a few machines out of order but I was able to get multiple loads done in a reasonable amount of time. Baskets and folding tables were a plus. It was a good experience and I would recommend it. I would suggest putting a post it note on the machines you're using. I had so many going, it was hard to keep up with them. read more

I have been going here for a little over a year now. I always see employees cleaning, so needless to say the place is very clean and tidy. It is a little bit more expensive than other places, but it is clean and I feel safe doing laundry there (even at night, haven't seen any creepers). The people who work there are polite and professional. They have fixed a leaky machine for me midwash and watched my laundry when I had to run home and grab forgotten laundry detergent. I posted this review in part as a response to the Karen's recent review about them being racist against whites. They are not racist. They are running a business. Was in a rush and decided last minute to use a wash and cold service rather than my typical laundromat. This place was very conveniently located for me in the Heights. It was super easy to park my car, which is big for me, and the attendant was very friendly and helpful. One thing to note is that the wash and fold services were definitely more expensive than the few others I have used in the past HOWEVER they did a fantastic job and really go above and beyond with the level of care and detail they gave my clothes. Normally when I use a wash and fold I expect some of my clothes to shrink so I was pleasantly surprised when I tried on a pair of denim shorts that hadn't shrunk at all! Also they individually wrap your folded items so you can be extra sure they are super clean! I desperately needed to wash my comforter today, so I took it to Soap Suds based on all the great Yelp reviews. Thanks, fellow Yelpers! The facility is clean, bright, and beachy. I'm a huge fan. Roberta is friendly and very helpful. I'm also a huge fan of her. The skinny: The machines are your standard fair for a nicer washateria -- stainless steel front load washers and dryers. The two load washer is $2.50, the three load one is $3.50, etc. The dryer is one quarter for 6 minutes. Soap Suds isn't the cheapest place in the world, but, in my humble opinion, it always seems that one's clothes come out dirtier from those places than when one first goes in. There is free wifi (I'm actually using it now to write this review) and a few TVs around playing cartoons and the news. I'm not sure if there is anything that I can add to this review that other Yelpers haven't already written. Just go, wash your clothes, and enjoy Soap Suds. PS. This facility is always very clean, and it makes the task of doing laundry as painless as possible. There are many washer and dryers, plenty to go around without ever having to wait. They have a drop, wash, and fold service if you're in a hurry. They have coin changers, sell detergent and other laundry needs, and there are several folding tables. The free wifi is a big plus. If you get hungry there is a snack machine inside and a convenience store less than a block away. Two televisions are on at all times. There are chairs scattered around the facility and even a few tables. I've eaten take-out dinner here a few times while waiting for the clothes to dry. There is free coffee and a basket of free coupons near the counter. The bathrooms are clean as well. During different holidays, this place likes to jazz it up beautifully with decorations. You can tell the owners put a lot of effort into maintaining the place. The prices are a little higher than most places, but the bonuses are worth it. There's a cat that is usually there entertaining guests. Bring a laser pointer if you want to play! read more
