Excellent care of clothes -- but at a very steep price. I continue to return because I feel I can trust my better pieces to their care. Not your cleaners for every day items. Great customer service and very responsive to requests. I would not recommend having alterations done there. Perhaps it's a language barrier, or difficulty of the work, but two items were not done properly and the cost was exorbitant. The cleaners proactively offered to refund half of the cost of the alteration, but I will never wear the dress--which was new. FYI, I've always considered myself to be quality, rather than price driven, but find myself sensitive to both here. read more

I cannot in good conscience recommend this place. In advance of using their services, my husband & I went to their location & asked about their different services - laundering and pressing vs dry cleaning vs "wet" dry clean/organic dry clean. We were told that they could launder & press what we wanted except if the instructions said to dry clean. We were satisfied with that & happy we had the option to do the wet/organic dry cleaning for our dry clean only items. My husband returned a couple of days later to drop off our laundry and said to launder and press what they could as previously discussed. Our items took several days, after pick up we were charged for dry cleaning for every single piece - $12.99/item. When my husband called a manager apologized that they had dry cleaned his shirts when the instruction had been provided and they refunded those fees. However they said by default they *always* dry clean women's clothes. No matter what. Even if the instructions say to launder. Despite this never been having disclosed to us when we explicitly had a conversation about these services & prices in advance. Beware of a possible bait & switch, a pink tax, & damage to your clothes because a (very pricey) laundering service won't follow instructions. Instructions previously agreed with their customer and also explicitly written on clothing labels read more

My first time here and definitely my last! I feel like I was robbed. I brought in a pair of shorts, 2 pairs of pants, a shirt, 2 dresses, and a jumpsuit the total was a whopping $160!!!! There were no price breakdowns anywhere nor were the prices communicated to me prior to dropping my clothes off . Never in my life have I spent almost $200 on dry cleaning ! Not to mention some of the spots still remain on certain garments. I feel like I've been scammed and it's not like I can refuse to pay, I need my clothes. Will not be returning. The 2 stars is only for the really nice lady who helped me both times read more

Damaged Rug, Lies from the Owner, and Core Values That Mean Nothing This was by far one of the most frustrating and dishonest customer experiences I've ever had. We brought in a custom, hand woven rug to be cleaned, were never asked to sign a release of liability, and received zero warnings about any risk to the item. The rug was returned damaged, and from there, everything went downhill fast. Rahim, the owner, initially offered 30% compensation, only to later deny he ever made that offer and reduce it to 10%. He forced us to review a depreciation schedule, which showed the rug retained 75% of its value--yet he denied that too, even though his own team sent it. The story kept changing until Rahim decided not to pay anything even after admitting that they damaged the item. He did offer a $200 store credit, and even after deciding to take our items elsewhere, we were told the $200 credit still stood--only for them to call back again and revoke that too. To top it off, this business proudly displays its core values: * O - Ownership: Yet no one took responsibility for the damage, lies and the run around * A - Attitude: If dishonesty and dodging accountability are considered "professionalism," then sure * K - Knowledge: The team contradicted their own documentation and couldn't even keep their stories straight * S - Service: There was nothing "exceptional" about the way we were treated--unless you count the exceptional level of backpedaling and manipulation These values are nothing but empty words. A polished poster on the wall doesn't mean anything if your business practices are built on deception and evasion. Don't trust them with anything you care about. Rahim is by far the most dishonest and unethical business owner I have ever encountered. read more

Love this place! For a dry cleaners, they have everything that you need as well as alterations! The hours are very flexible, and having refreshments for all the guests was a nice touch. Alice was so such wonderful soul and VERY helpful definitely will be coming REGULARLY! read more

Ive taken several high end designer items to this place and they've done such a great job. I had bad experiences at other cleaners (one of them shrunk a brand new shirt and it was such a shame because it was money down the drain). Because of that, I was reluctant to try another one until some people on Reddit recommended this one to me. I have gone back several times as a had a pile of clothes waiting to be cleaned . :-D read more

The services at this cleaners was prompt and efficient. Although after careful review of my clothing I noticed several missing rhinestones on my very expensive shirt. I was horrified to find and I doubt that I will be returning to this place ever again. read more

Tried them 3 times, 1st time to sew a button on a sport coat. specifically asked not to be cleaned, just a button. They charged $72 on my credit card. It was such a little thing I didn't check the receipt until later. They told me they charged for cleaning in error but could only give a store credit. 2nd time my wife took 3 blouses to have spots cleaned. They charged over $100 and the spots were not cleaned. She argued and they cut some off the price. 3rd time I had the hem on 2 shirts some casual pants repaired $75. The facility is nice, the work they do is average to below, the cost is way too high. When I brought my two dresses in I was given the price $76 total. I was under impression that the charge was final and they swiped my card. Two days later when I picked my dresses I had a charge on my amex $222. I called to question the charge and I was told that the price should have been $120 in total. This is very wrong! I was given two different prices and charged almost double! I do not trust them. Is it what they do to customers thinking the RO customers won't notice?? read more

I'm extremely disappointed with the lack of transparency. They hit me with outrageous prices but never told me upfront what the cost would be. On top of that, they were misleading about when the clothes would be ready, giving me different dates each time. I feel like I've been completely misled. 165 for 3 items!! read more

I've been a customer for 5 years and have always been satisfied. The price is worth the quality! Never had any issues with them losing my clothes or damaging them like I've experienced with other cleaners. In 5 years there was only 1 stain they couldn't get out, and they were honest and upfront about it. The staff is very personable and friendly too. I am their forever customer. read more

Highly recommend choosing Oaks for your dry clean needs. We have been using Oaks for years and have never had any issues! Quick service! We come here weekly for my dresses & husbands dress shirts and suits. Recently used to clean all of our couch cushions and they did a wonderful job! Will continue to use Oaks as long as we live in the Houston area! read more

Our family has relied on Oaks Cleaners for over 10 years and consider it the best in the business. The Oaks team consistently provides us with the highest quality work and superior customer service. They use the best processes and techniques, and employ a professional and courteous staff. Communication is a priority with Oaks. If there's a question about a stain or garment, we receive a phone call prior to starting the treatment process. If we accidentally leave an item in a shirt or pants pocket, it will be returned along with our order. Moreover, we participate in the home pick-up/delivery service, which is a huge convenience for our busy family. When our driver has completed a drop/pick-up, i receive a text message confirming the service is complete. Oaks Cleaners is a jewel in our neighborhood, and we highly recommended them to everyone in the Kirby/Montrose area. read more

Great service, friendly, timely and high quality dry cleaning. They consistently do a great job.

We have been loyal customers of Oaks Cleaners for over a decade. After losing 3 items of clothing over 3 months ago, the owner has failed to reimburse me despite multiple conversations and emails providing receipts and replacement cost. Given this recent incident, I would urge you to take your business elsewhere. read more

I don't understand why the ratings for this place are not higher! These guys are absolutely amazing. They are one of the few establishments that use non-abrasive and non-chemical cleaners so your garments are not stripped of their original integrity. The man that cleans the garments is highly knowledgeable about all of the environmental friendly cleaners that they use and can actually break down what the chemicals do and if/how they will work on the clothing garment. This is very important to me being a biochemist. I had taken a wedding dress to be cleaned for preservation for my boss and this man worked meticulously spot treating the small flecks of mud and dirt on the hem on the dress from a Mardi Gras wedding. He was able to take years off of the dress and made it look brand new! They even call you to come inspect the dress before carefully arranging it on a bodice in the preservation box, which is acid free, another very important detail when preserving wedding dresses the only was able to describe to me. I cannot tell you how knowledgeable this man is! I was very impressed with him, blown away really that he takes such pride in his work! In short, I would highly recommend this man and his establishment to anyone and everyone. He will work with you to achieve the results that they are looking for, is incredibly knowledgeable in his field, and is very very friendly! Will most definitely return! read more

Oaks cleaners does great work, has friendly staff and wonderful customer service. My clothes are always finished earlier than expected.

WORST OVERPRICED CLEANERS EVER!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! $88 for 1 suit, 2 shirts, and 2 dresses! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?!! They should tell you up front how much it's going to cost before you drop off your clothes here. I feel very taken advantage of!!! I'm going to make sure everyone I know knows that this place SUCKS!!!! Bad people, bad business! read more

The sweetest staff and extremely attentive to detail! I take all of my designer items here and they leave like brand new!

Asma and her team are amazing. I have been using them for more than 8 years. They offer convenient pick ups and delivery in and around the neighborhood which is a huge life saver. Also always happy to do same day cleaning (for an extra fee) for those times when you need it. Great work and service. read more

The absolute best dry cleaners! My father even sends me back with dry cleaning from Austin some times.

The most overpriced cleaners in Houston. And they are proud of it. Three dresses that all cost me less than $50 new, cost me more than $65 to clean. They obviously need to over charge customers to reside in RO because their cleaning is no more special than the cleaners down the block. read more

Oaks Cleaners acts high end until they destroy your shirts, then Rahim (owner) blames anything / anyone he can so he doesn't have to pay. Ruined 2 - 400$ + shirts, I had been a customer for 3-4 years. So, all cleaners ruin some clothes but atleast some like Twin oaks pay for their mistakes. BEWARE, will be all good until he destroys your stuff, and then you will be on your own. (and out the cost of your clothes) read more

I've lived in several areas of Houston, during my time here. I've changed neighborhoods, jobs, offices and other things. With those moves, I've also tried different dry cleaners but keep coming back to Oaks. Now, they are the only cleaner I will use because they consistently do excellent work and will take on problems other cleaners won't. Case in point: I spilled a bottle of red wine on a white bedspread but my "nearby" cleaners wouldn't even try to remove the stain. As a last resort, I went to Oaks. Not only did they agree to try, they made the bedspread look as good as new. Wonderful service, wonderful people. read more

I took some slacks in to be dry cleaned with a few drops of ice cream on them. They came back with a preprinted tag to read something to the effect "we worked and worked on this stain but it could not be removed" and charged me full price. I took a damp cloth removed it when I got home and pressed them since they didn't. Another time I took a labcoat that only cost $38 and they charged $10 to launder. It is basically a long shirt. They will launder 4-5 shirts for the same price. The owner contacted me to provide me with a credit towards a future service. I appreciate this gesture and increased my rating. read more

Esther has altered all the curtains for my home. She is very good, kind, and does an amazing job! All her work is superior and I wouldn't go anywhere else for alterations, especially for high priced items. Also, the cost is very comparable. The whole company is very trustworthy. read more

They do a great job taking care of my delicate fabrics. The only complaint I have is the unexpected ticket price when I go to pick it up. $70 for 4 garments is a bit hefty. $22 to dry clean 1 dress. Other than that they do a great job. read more

I only trust them when it comes to dry cleaning my clothes, they are amazing and everyone is so friendly.

Totally robbery! 2 basic dresses with no embellishments, sequins, buttons, etc for $50! Very upset there was no information up front that my cleaning would cost almost 3 times as much versus another place around the corner. The job wasn't anything special and I was unimpressed. the front desk woman was also rude and snappy when I asked why it cost so much. Her reply being "We have been in business since 1967..". Like that's any excuse to be so ridiculously expensive!! Save your money and go somewhere else!! read more

Took a set of clothes from cleaners to cleaners, and they still came back with stains. Took it to Oaks cleaners as a final try, and the stains came out. I only go to them - if they can't get a stain out, no one can. read more

I stopped by oaks cleaners to drop off a jacket, shirt and a pair of jeans with a broken zipper. I'm new to town so just went to the one closest to my house. When I went to pick up the items I was charged $74 for 2 simple dry cleans and a zipper fix. When I argued the price they simply said that's what the price is and we dry cleaned your jeans (despite me not asking for this) for $24.99!!! Unbelievable... and it took 5 days.... Never again, I have learned my lesson. read more

Best dry cleaners I have found in Houston and I have been through several. A bit pricer than some of the other choices around town but they are worth it for one main reason - NO MORE BROKEN BUTTONS. I am not sure why so many other dry cleaners have consistently returned my shirts with broken buttons or even worse given me someone else's clothing. I have only had one instance of a broken button while taking my laundry to Oaks and after I pointed it out they replaced the buttons and remedied the situation immediately. They are also pro's at removing stains and returning my white business shirts in like-new condition. The staff is very friendly and they also have drop off/pick up service. I have not used the tailor services yet but I plan to in the future. read more

The charge for my wool suit (coat and slacks) was $25. The spots I pointed out to be cleaned were not marked during take in and were missed on the first cleaning. The second try was successful; but, the pressing of the slacks was not completely professional. Still wrinkled inside legs. read more

Horrible. Ruined the Jenny Packham designer dress my mother wore to my wedding and refuse to take responsibility - did not explain the processes they were using, held the dress for four weeks, only to call and say, it's ruined. Refuse to pay for it, and we just have to accept the fact that they completely ruined it. Do not trust them with things you love! read more

Great job dry cleaning even though it is pricey compared to other options in the area, but the alterations was a no show. So I called in the afternoon to ask if I came by at 5:30pm that they would be able to do alterations and they confirmed. Then I show up at 5:30pm and they were shocked that I actually needed to try it on and get measured for alterations--they said that the alterations lady was not there. Well, thankfully I was able to jet to Nhu's tailor off Shepard just in time before closing! read more

I initially planned to give a higher rating, based on customer service alone. However, after examining the clothes I just picked up, I will not be patronizing this shop again. The staff is courteous and professional. The prices are certainly higher than other cleaners within a one mile vicinity, however, I expected the quality of their work to justify the higher prices. Three of the items I brought in were dark and/or bright-colored blouses. I informed the attendant upon dropping the clothes off that the three had liquid food stains. Note, these were not red wine stains on a white blouse, or something similarly damaging. All three came back with a tag the stains could not be removed. One of the blouses still has the outline of a water mark from when I dropped it off. I can appreciate a tag such as the one I received if there was a truly damaging stain. But this was not the case here. read more
