These folks do a great job, day after day after day. It is obvious that the Bells (yes, there are actually people named "Bell" that own and operate the business) care about their employees because the same folks are there to take care of you and your clothes. A little more expensive than others? Yeah, I guess that they are. But isn't it worth it to have the BBQ stain (or the moo-goo-gai-pan, sautéed basil and radishio foam stain) out of your clothes? And what's all this carping about writing your name inside your clothes? In 40+ years and 8 or 9 different cities, I have never had a d/c that did NOT write my name in the clothes! I'm no dry cleaning expert (nor do I play one on TV), but something tells me that may be the way that you get YOUR shirt back and not my aged Aunt Marion's blouse! read more

I normally go to a nearby dry cleaners and thought I'd give these guys a try. I took in 11x pants and asked for heavy starch. The price was $30 more than my other place and the starch was light/normal at best. read more

Been coming here for years. Fast friendly service and very affordable. I highly recommend this cleaner for thier quality of work, efficiency and affordability. read more

Constantly lose shirts and won't refund or anything. Went and got my dress shirts cleaned and they lost both. If you like your clothes don't go here read more

My bad that I didn't ask before I left a wool coat to be cleaned. Their bad that they charged $29 to clean a single item. I won't be back. Ask. read more

I've been going there for years and akways had great service. earlier this year they lost a shirt and for 6 months they have not responded about compensation for my shirt not even an apology. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Super nice and friendly service. I have only used them for alterations but they do a great job every time.

This place should work on its customer service. Went in wanting some items altered and dry cleaned, the older woman up front had the nastiest attitude after I waited 5 Minutes in line while she sat on her phone. I decided to take my business elsewhere. Super upsetting Since I've been taking my dry cleaning to this place for years. Maybe it's time for some new employees? read more

Just know I paid $120 for 15 items. I am a teacher so I wear a lot of dresses from places like The Limited, White House Black Market, NY&C etc...I'm too scared to go to a cheap place bc they might ruin it all...this place didn't and I'd hope not with a bill so dang high! Be sure to ask the price before you leave. Luckily I only do Dry Cleaners like 1 or twice a year...they also said one blouse wasn't ready...what's up with that? I hope when I come back tomorrow they remember my missing item! read more

Bells Myown Cleaners - Laundry Services Near Me - Houston, Texas

Worse customer service experience EVER! They lost my dress shirt I needed for a funeral...this terrible person maskarading as customer service rep @ the counter told me "go hm, I'll call you" ? Then proceeded to argue with me (including profanity) when I complained...thats right, She acted like it was my fault... long time resident, NEVER AGAIN! read more

While I have ZERO complaints on how the items came out, I was extremely shocked to see what they charged! It was almost $175 for 25 pieces, half of which were women's tank tops. Complete sticker shock compared to everywhere else I've used before. Again, no complaints on quality or customer service, but if you plan on taking a lot of items, or you have never been there before, might be worth asking prices before you commit. Something I wish I would have done... read more

I've used this cleaners for years. Even drive from sugar land still. In 20 years they have never lost or ruined any item! The staff that's been there a long time knows me by name. Best Cleaners in Houston! read more

If you're still basing your estimation of this place on Eduardo's review, where he complains about his name being written on his shirts, be assured that they don't do that anymore. They've improved their systems, and they've listened to the customer feedback. Isn't that what we all want? Seriously, these folks know what they're doing. They're efficient, they're smart, and I've never had any kind of problem with rude service. They also do the little things well. You find a repair has been done without your even asking. Can't say it happens every time, but it does happen. Add that to the fact that they know your name--even after months away--and I can't imagine going anywhere else if you live in Oak Forest. read more

Recommend. Used once so far - good experience. SAME DAY service if in before 9. Can't beat that. The ladies behind the counter are courteous and professional. They take recycled hangers, too. I spent $56. Had a buncha shirts, pants, a suit, 2 sweaters, stain removed from a polo, and a button sown on some jeans. read more

I dropped off I pair of slacks to be dry cleaned. When I went to pick them up I was given a pair of slacks which were the right size and color wrong brand not mine . I was treated like I was a liar. They either lost or gave my slacks to another customer. I was offered a store credit for the price of my lost slacks but that does not replace my slacks. Management had the I dont care attitude. Couldn't get them to stop stapling through my clothes. Prices were about 3x for similar cleaning from others in the area. Also, as mentioned below I have my name "written" inside most all of my clothes from them. Aside from that very friendly people. Just figured that with the savings on the costs I could buy around $2500 of new clothes annually in the differential from other cleaners in the area. Plus the aggravation of trying to remove staples from the waistbands of my dress slacks and suit jackets was enough to convince me to try others in the area. read more

ZERO STARS! I am a first time customer (NEVER to return)! I had NO IDEA I would be charged $162.94 for (24) pieces! I was so shocked, I couldn't say anything! Thank goodness for Jazzercise and red wine...Needed both to save me from boiling with frustration of being robbed! And the search continues...SMH read more

The people are really nice and I like Bells My Own Cleaners, but we rarely use their services because they don't take American Express, and that's the only credit card our family uses. Instead, we use the cleaners across the street. BOTTOM LINE: Good service, doesn't take AMEX. read more

Experience was fine, but I can't justify $5.00 per clothing item. No prices posted or warning or itemized ticket when you drop off. If I would have known they were 4-5 times the price of everywhere else I wouldn't have wasted my money swinging by here just because it's next to my house. And they write on your clothes with a marker. read more

My wife and I are new to the area and I was looking for a same day service dry cleaner that had nice Yelp reviews. Bells Myown fit that bill, and the people working the counter were very friendly and proud of their good reputation. I dropped my dry clean items off by 9am on Monday, and picked them up by 6:30pm the same day. 1 dry clean button up long sleeve shirt plus 3 pairs of dry clean work slacks for $16. Very reasonable, and the good service will keep me coming back. I found my new dry cleaner. read more

You can certainly pay more or less for your dry cleaning, but Bells is consistently excellent in quality and customer service. I appreciate the attention to detail and timely service. read more

They wrote on all of my shirts... expensive shirts!!!!! My Behar, Ricci, Collizione, everything!!! These are not cheap shirts! Ughhhh Besides that, the ladies working behind the counter are rude and unprofessional. I brought some pants in to be hemmed. The lady threw a couple of safety pins and told me to put them on. WTF? That is why I am bringing the pants, so they can be hemmed. I obviously don't work there why would I be pinning shit on? I should of asked if they needed their floors scrubbed, might as well, right? NEVER EVER AGAIN! Gave this place too many chances. read more

For my money, the best cleaners in the city. The Bell Brothers can make rust and other mysterious stains disappear. I know they're pros, because they've removed stains other dry cleaners said were permanent. If you meet Mike or Steve, or talk to them on the phone, you know they like what they do--and are kind to boot. Once I lost a button from a shirt I really liked. The Bells couldn't find a match for it (it was a transparent chartreuse) so they replaced every button with near-matching green ones. That's customer service! read more

I really like this cleaners and the people that work there. I can get my stuff the next day, even after dropping it off late. The staff is pleasant, and say thank you. I have seen them help customers out to their car. The prices are what you expect from a cleaners. I have tried the rest of the cleaners in the Oak Forest area, and this is by far the BEST! read more

Majorly overpriced and it took them 10 days to get one of my shirts back to me. I'm pretty sure they misplaced it and didn't want to tell me. read more

One of the best dry cleaners we've ever used. My husband and I started using Bells only a few months ago and they already know us by name. They also know we're married despite the fact we've never been in the store at the same time. It isn't fancy but who needs a fancy dry cleaner? The service and people are fantastic! They are so friendly. You can tell this is a family run establishment and they really care about their customers. 5 stars all the way! read more

The best in Houston. I have used them 30 yrs and have always been pleased with service and business ethics

I have relied on Bells Myown Cleaners for 30 years. They are careful, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile to serve their customers. They provide quick turnaround. Oak Forest is booming these days. It's great that a family-owned business like this is still a successful part of the mix of services. read more

On my first and only visit, they wrote my name in black permanent marker on the inside of every article of clothing without discussing it with me. That's what tags are for, folks. Some of the shirts are not meant to be tucked in, and the name will be clearly visible where they placed it on the bottom under the buttons. The writing shows completely through on the lighter color shirts. They are ruined. I am not a kid going to camp. I don't need my name put on my clothes by my Mom, nor by my cleaners. If you choose to go here, I'd recommend asking them to put in writing on your receipt (preferably in black sharpie) that they will NOT put your name on your clothes without your permission. read more

Love these guys! They are always friendly and got to know me by name really quickly. They are the only cleaners i have used in the neighborhood and i don't see myself ever using a different one. read more

This is an awesome cleaners. I have lived in the area since 1984 and have only started using them in the last couple of years. Wished I would have a long time ago. They are the best I have ever encountered. I took some bed sheets, pillow cases, and duvet cover to them last week. There was some pretty stubborn stains and they got them all out and the bedding looks new again. The staff and owners are great too. Super friendly!! read more

I'm a native Houstonian and have used cleaners at different locations across the city. The staff in Oak Forest treated me like I was the only customer the very first time I went and my clothes have never had better care. Somehow they can get stains out of silk or my stained hospital lab coats without ruining the material. Also I dont feel like I've paid for new clothes when I pay the bill. read more
