I am a teacher so I wear a lot of dresses from places like The Limited, White House Black Market, NY&C etc...I'm too scared to go to a cheap place bc they might ruin it all...this place didn't and I'd hope not with a bill so dang high! They've improved their systems, and they've listened to the customer feedback. Isn't that what we all want? Seriously, these folks know what they're doing. They're efficient, they're smart, and I've never had any kind of problem with rude service. They also do the little things well. You find a repair has been done without your even asking. I dropped off I pair of slacks to be dry cleaned. When I went to pick them up I was given a pair of slacks which were the right size and color wrong brand not mine . I was treated like I was a liar. It is obvious that the Bells (yes, there are actually people named "Bell" that own and operate the business) care about their employees because the same folks are there to take care of you and your clothes. A little more expensive than others? Yeah, I guess that they are. But isn't it worth it to have the BBQ stain (or the moo-goo-gai-pan, sautéed basil and radishio foam stain) out of your clothes? And what's all this carping about writing your name inside your clothes? In 40+ years and 8 or 9 different cities, I have never had a d/c that did NOT write my name in the clothes! If I would have known they were 4-5 times the price of everywhere else I wouldn't have wasted my money swinging by here just because it's next to my house. Couldn't get them to stop stapling through my clothes. Prices were about 3x for similar cleaning from others in the area. Also, as mentioned below I have my name "written" inside most all of my clothes from them. Aside from that very friendly people. Just figured that with the savings on the costs I could buy around $2500 of new clothes annually in the differential from other cleaners in the area. Bells Myown fit that bill, and the people working the counter were very friendly and proud of their good reputation. I dropped my dry clean items off by 9am on Monday, and picked them up by 6:30pm the same day. 1 dry clean button up long sleeve shirt plus 3 pairs of dry clean work slacks for $16. The people are really nice and I like Bells My Own Cleaners, but we rarely use their services because they don't take American Express, and that's the only credit card our family uses. Instead, we use the cleaners across the street. BOTTOM LINE: Good service, doesn't take AMEX. read more

Ughhhh Besides that, the ladies working behind the counter are rude and unprofessional. I brought some pants in to be hemmed. The lady threw a couple of safety pins and told me to put them on. WTF? That is why I am bringing the pants, so they can be hemmed. I obviously don't work there why would I be pinning shit on? I should of asked if they needed their floors scrubbed, might as well, right? For my money, the best cleaners in the city. The Bell Brothers can make rust and other mysterious stains disappear. I know they're pros, because they've removed stains other dry cleaners said were permanent. If you meet Mike or Steve, or talk to them on the phone, you know they like what they do--and are kind to boot. Once I lost a button from a shirt I really liked. The Bells couldn't find a match for it (it was a transparent chartreuse) so they replaced every button with near-matching green ones. That's customer service! read more

On my first and only visit, they wrote my name in black permanent marker on the inside of every article of clothing without discussing it with me. That's what tags are for, folks. Some of the shirts are not meant to be tucked in, and the name will be clearly visible where they placed it on the bottom under the buttons. The writing shows completely through on the lighter color shirts. They are ruined. I am not a kid going to camp. I don't need my name put on my clothes by my Mom, nor by my cleaners. If you choose to go here, I'd recommend asking them to put in writing on your receipt (preferably in black sharpie) that they will NOT put your name on your clothes without your permission. read more

This is an awesome cleaners. I have lived in the area since 1984 and have only started using them in the last couple of years. Wished I would have a long time ago. They are the best I have ever encountered. I took some bed sheets, pillow cases, and duvet cover to them last week.
