I came here with my friend who is dress shopping on a budget. They had a decent selection (not that big though) of off the rack dresses with very reasonable prices. (I saw some as low as $250). As we came on a Friday, it wasn't too busy so we had the whole shop to ourselves. The person who helped my friend really made sure each dress fit her (adding those finishing touches) and was very good at listening to my friend's feedback and getting other potential dresses that she would like. They also have an in-house seamstress so it was nice to hear what they were reasonably able to pull off. While my friend did not find her dress, the experience overall was still great! read more

I found my dress here!! Kaitlin was super friendly and helped me feel comfortable trying out the different styles. They have a good variety of dresses, and she was able to consult their in-house tailor as I was trying on to talk about what alterations could be realistically done. It was super easy to make an appointment online and confirm the booking over the phone. Once I decided on my dress, they even offered champagne and sparkling water to my MOH and me. And the dress I loved was only $750, about $800 with taxes. Much more budget friendly than what I could find at other stores, and I could take it home with me that day. I laugh as I begin to write this review because when I make the statement: I've been to every bridal boutique in Houston, I mean that literally. From The Heights, to the Woodlands, from Katy to 3rd Ward, from department stores in the mall to even resale wedding shops...I've literally been inside every single one of them looking for the perfect bridesmaid/Maid of Honor dress for my friend's upcoming wedding. With that said, Sweet Romance is truly sweet, quaint, and the PERFECT place for ANY traditional bridesmaid dress and all under $100. I stumbled upon Sweet Romance on accident, actually. I was next door looking for some fabric and when I saw the newly founded store, I had to drop in- especially considering that I had exhausted almost all other resources for the bridesmaid dresses. My maid of honor duties nearly burnt me out until I walked into the store. Lol! The young lady who owns the business is quite resourceful, and intelligent, especially considering that she works alone every single day, all day, and built her own business from scratch. Being able to appreciate that, after hearing her story, made the dresses all the more special. I found the perfect set of dresses here and we bought 4 of them. The great thing about this place is that there are several styles of the same dress, in case you don't like beading, or the straps, or something else. They also have these dresses in basically every single color you could possibly want. While you try on dresses, there's cake pops, and a cute little tray of water for the bridal party, and a comfortable couch, and basically just made to feel at home. We never made appointments through all of this, though I'm sure they might be necessary during busier hours. Pricing? It's anything a bridal party could ask for. I got my dress, the floor sample, for $65. It was on sale, and discounted. Alterations ran me $35 for it to be hemmed, and literally was completed in less than a week for pickup. The other bridesmaids had to order their dresses, which arrived within a week, and alterations were done within 2 days of arrival. Literally the fastest thing I've ever seen. And guess what? The owner does all of this herself! Payment plans available- just pay the deposit which is super low. I think I paid like $35 upfront and paid the rest when I came to pickup the dress. Super easy. I love everything about this store, and am thankful for finding it, otherwise who knows what we would have done! I really wish more people and brides to be knew about this place. It's still new, but I have great hopes for it! read more

Nice owner and cute place, but don't go here if you are in a time crunch. The date they give you isn't accurate. My bridesmaid dress was supposed to be altered by Thursday. I went in on Friday, and was told it was an hour away, and the seamstress was stuck in traffic. This was odd, because I was told that it would be ready the day before. I had to leave because I had plans, and couldn't stay. The next day, Saturday, I stopped by again. This time I'm told my dress is ten minutes away. So hmmmm, it wasn't "on its way" on Friday then... Again, I had to leave, because I had my niece in the car, and I had to take her to her play group. I was planning on just running in and grabbing it. I also didn't trust that it was ten minutes away because last time they lied to me. On Monday I stop by yet again, and I FINALLY picked up my dress. I didn't have to pay, but then again, I felt like I should'nt have had to. My dress wasn't ready when it should have been, and I had to make unnecessary trips. I was so thankful that I didn't need the dress until the following weekend! So, moral of the story, I would only go here if you're fine with making unnecessary trips and not needing your dress ASAP read more

Wonderful service and experience. Leslie, the owner of the boutique, and her staff are extremely sweet and professional. My mother loved her dress and felt comfortable and pretty in the dress purchased, due to the staff understanding what kind of dress she was looking for (she wanted sleeves on a sleeve-less dress) and alterations were made with a quick turnaround. Sweet Romance's helpful staff were top notch. I took a lace dress in to be taken in and shortened for my daughter's homecoming dance. They did an excellent job in short order. The dress looked and felt perfect! I knew that a bridal shop would know how to work with the lace without showing any seams. I came here around January to pick out a bridal gown. I was coming from another bridal shop appointment and I called to see if they could squeeze me in and sure enough they told me to come in. The store is very cute but very small so there wasn't much on display but I found 2 dresses that I liked that were in my budget. The lady there was really nice and wasn't pushy but she gave lots of great advice. Unfortunately, since I didn't have an appointment, she attended to her other client more. That was ok since it was my fault and I also had my mother to help me put the dresses on. The dresses are very pretty and reasonably priced. BUT like my previous review I had EXCELLENT customer service and patience. I say this most sincerely ... Leslie, the owner, is amazing! Her passion for her products is clear and she is very knowledgeable on bridal styles and what looks great together. But most importantly of all, she really takes the time to help you figure out what will make you feel beautiful. She never gives the impression that she is pressuring you for a sale. In fact, it feels like trying on beautiful clothes and accessories with your best friend! My first wedding dress shopping experience was with Leslie back in April 2017, and it set really high expectations for all other bridal shopping experiences. We tried on 4-6 dresses and she took the time to help me photograph them as I was shopping by myself. I emailed her back a few times over the next few months to ask for certain styles of dresses (organza body) and headpieces, and she was always super prompt in her responses (within two hours during business hours!). This week, I returned once again to try on accessories. The first time around, I didn't bring my dress and shoes with me so it was hard to picture which piece would be perfect. She offered for me to return the next day with the rest of my ensemble to better match the headpiece and belts. TLDR; Please please add Sweet Romance Bridal to your shopping list!
