I got my wedding dress altered by Monica and she was amazing! Not to mention, very affordable! I went to many places that charged 4x what she charged me, and she even did an exceptional job! She brought my size 12 dress down to a size 4 for me by shortening my straps and taking in the sides - even with intricate beading, shortened the hem to fit my 4'11" height, and she added a three-point bustle! Found them on Yelp. Called them and confirmed. Was told to be here at 11:30am today. I'm currently standing outside of their closed shop with my wedding gown in hand. Smh Update: Because I left this review she called me back with an extremely harsh tone, stating that she got in a car reck. I understand unexpected things happen which is why I changed my rating from a 1 to 3 stars. However, from my point of view I'm standing outside of a closed business with my $2500 gown, at the confirmed time, and my phone calls keep getting rejected. If she would've had a nicer tone I'd be more sympathetic. read more

I had to make last minute alterations to my wedding dress because my first seamstress was negligent and did a very slap das job taking in my dress appropriately, so I called Monica in a panic and she told me to come right in. Monica fixed EVERYTHING that the first seamstress had done wrong and she couldn't have been more amazing to work with! She is a perfectionist and she had my trumpet style wedding dress fitting me like a second skin! I can't recommend her enough. Monica is the real deal! Monica is absolutely the best! She was able to alter my wedding dress to fit my body and give me what I wanted. Few brides have an issue with their dress being too short, but she was able to make my dress longer and cut the back lower without compromising the structure and support of the dress. Cosplayers! She made an awesome costume for my daughter. I gave Monica pictures of Mey Rin from Black Butler and a pattern that most closely resembled her dress. The costume is perfect! I went here to get a bridesmaid dress belt made out of the sash that came with my dress (bride's request - she didn't want any bows) on January 12th. The sash was approximately 6' long and 2" wide when I brought it in. The bride had requested we size it down to 1" wide along with getting it made into a belt (hook & eye clasp & extra fabric removed). I explained this to the woman working there and showed her pictures of another bridesmaids who had already gotten hers done elsewhere. She measured me wearing the dress (29") and told me to come back on January 19th, one week later. I left my phone number and name with the belt fabric. I return on the 19th & she told me she had fixed the width but she had forgotten to write down my measurement - no call or anything prior to my arrival. We take my measurement again, but I am not wearing the dress this time & I was measured to be 28". I told her I thought it had been 29" when I was there last, and I asked her if she would mind doing 2 hook & eye clasps at 28" and 29" - she said that was fine, and I did get this at the end. She tells me to return tomorrow (January 20th). I receive a text message from her around 4:30 on the 20th saying the belt is ready, and they would be open until 6:15pm - I tell her I will be there before 6:15. Why couldn't she have called or texted when she realized she hadn't written down my measurements??? I will never know. I go to pick up the belt on the 20th, and she pulls it out and it is almost 3-3.5" wide now. I said "wait, I needed this to be 1" wide" and she says "ohhhh I thought you said 1" wider! I'm sorry! Come back tomorrow, and it will be done". I asked the price at this point just out of curiosity - she says $32.48. My jaw drops. I was thinking to myself, maybe she will discount it once I return for the THIRD TIME on the 21st (the wedding is the 23rd, mind you). NOPE. Went back today, January 21st, on my lunch break, and it was finally ready, and I paid $32.48 for it. Horrible customer service. Horrible product at the end of the day. Outrageous prices. I will NEVER return here. read more

I will use them again with caution. Unprofessional in their business hours. I drive in from the west side during their posted hours but no one could help me. The work I've had done in the past was fine, and I'll post again for good service if I try again, but customer service is king and this was a poor job for her to leave the store. The person left behind was not apologetic or claiming an emergency ... just oh well, no one here to help fit you, come back again. I stopped buying things I would need to alter due to nothing but bad experiences, until I had no choice (bridesmaids dresses) - so when I moved to Houston I found her and she nailed it.
