I have been shopping at this Indian clothing store for over 20 years, and they have been a part of some of the most important moments of my life. I still remember going there for my older sister's wedding, where they helped me find all of my wedding outfits. The prices were very reasonable, the quality was amazing, and most importantly, the service was exceptional. What truly sets this store apart is the consistency of their service. The staff has always been kind, caring, and genuinely helpful--something that is rare and hard to find at many other Indian clothing stores. When it came time for my own wedding, I returned and purchased many of my wedding outfits from here as well, and once again, the experience was wonderful. Even though I've since moved away, this store remains my go-to whenever I need an Indian outfit. Worst customer service I have ever experienced! I went here to get my really expensive outfit altered. When I went to pick it up, it wasn't done right so I asked them to fix it again for me. There were beads on my shirt, which they lost but blamed me, then she goes the work is uneven so that's my alterations aren't perfect.. I told them if you can't do it right then I'll take it to another place, but she said no let me try again. I come back after an hour to pick it up and now there is a stain on the sleeves! WTH!! She goes it's your foundation, I'm like so you are saying I rubbed my face on my hands?? Plus the color is 5 shades darker than my skin. This bitch went in the back and closed her door. They definitely don't rip you off like other stores in the area. They also have an assortment of bangles and other types of jewelry that you can check out. This place also offers alterations - which is definitely a perk because they don't have multiple sizes of their clothes, which is understandable. Definitely my favorite Indian store in the Hilcroft area! PS: My favorite part is that they don't force you to purchase anything. Was a bridesmaid in an Indian wedding (my first time to wear Indian clothing) and I had an unstitched lehenga choli to be made. They came to the rescue when I couldn't find an Indian tailor in my city and time was running short. My friend brought the fabric to the store and they worked with me and my friend via FaceTime to offer design ideas that fit with what I wanted, including adding laktans (which I would never have known about) to the choli and lehenga. I was apprehensive since I wasn't able to be measured there, but the lehenga choli ended up fitting perfectly and was very well-tailored. I am so grateful for their exceptional customer service and quality tailoring! My experience was completely virtual but based on it, I'd definitely recommend this store to others. I found the most beautiful salwar kameez here at a good price for a wedding. I suppose I was blinded by this beautiful dress that I failed to further inspect the dress in the store. However, once I got home and took the dress out of the bag, I could smell a foul odor coming from armpits of the dress. The armpits of the dress smell like body odor. Strong, foul body odor - the kind that ruins clothes. I took the dress to my dry cleaners and he said that it should take about 3 cleanings to get the stench out. After the first cleaning, the dress still smells like BO in the armpits. Maybe my expectations are too high, but I expect when I buy new clothes that they don't smell like stinky body odor in the armpits. read more

Looked up shops and came across Rose boutique. Ended up actually getting a Beautiful purse!!! She has some of the most beautiful purses I've seen, and for a fraction of what they would cost at a department store. You can't find these at department stores though. These are Indian made, and you can tell by their design. Can't wait to go back to buy more for me or as gifts. Something you won't be as to find anywhere else. Wonderful, friendly and curteous staff. I was helped by a wonderful sales assistant and the owner of this store is always friendly and will try to negotiate with you. Most owners on hillcroft don't even negotiate nowdays but he will. the good saris are in the packets , so make them show you what they have. I think good customer service goes a long way. I came here to get a blouse altered for my wedding. The blouse was a raw silk with heavy bead work and I wanted to go to a place that had experience with this material and had good reviews. First note, that their tailor is NOT on site. I was not told this and assumed the two ladies who measured me in the fitting room were tailors. I was not happy with the alteration and asked to see the tailor but then I first learned that the tailor is not on site. I asked that it be corrected or that all the stitching be removed and I would take it somewhere else. The owner then took my blouse to the back and said if you don't pay right now then you can't have your blouse. If a customer is not satisfied, this is NOT the way to deal with a complaint. Lastly, I was given an invoice which stated I would be charged 20 for the alteration. I gave a credit card and was charged 1.65 service fee for credit card which I demanded back and it was refunded. BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR TAILORING AS THERE IS NO TAILOR IN HOUSE. IF YOU ARE UNHAPPY WITH THE ALTERATION YOU CANNOT DISCUSS IT WITH THE ACTUAL PERSON STITCHING YOUR CLOTHES!! read more

I needed a simple silk blue top to match my sari at a reasonable price. I visited multiple stores with no success before coming across Rose, which had exactly what I wanted. Most other stores had a limited number and color of plain silk tops with starting prices of $35. Rose, on the other hand, a whole bunch of silk tops in many colors with a blue that matched perfectly to my sari, and I was quoted $25! It gets better. They only had blue in a size L but I needed a S. The lady working here sensed my hesitance of the purchase and offered to knock $5 and alter it right then and there. I had my top ready in 30 min and it ended up looking great! They also have a nice sales rack. If I ever needed more Indian apparel, I would definitely stop by again. I order custom shirts for my wedding I was told the shirt would be in end of month that's in November.The shirt was not available until December 7,2020 so I come to pick up the shirts came in all stained up 7 shirts messed up.The wife going to tell me what stain i show her multiple stain on all the shirts. Not to mention when I came in and asked for Ali he's not in on Monday so I tell the lady I'm here to pickup shirts she walks to the back I thought she was about to bring me the shirts I see her doing something odd.Some told me to walk to the back low and behold she was trying to iron the wet spots dry on the shirt she was trying to clean. When I get to her she replied oh I'm just ironing your shirt me in my head like for what. I tell her I'm going to check all the shirts she walks off me no problem. All shirts was stained now these shirts was custom made for my wedding which is 5 days from now she didn't want to refund me my money I had to call the police which they never came the first time. So now I told her I will just take the 4 white shirts which totaled $100 we put a deposit down for $100 so I told her the deposit covers the price of the shirts she tried to add $25 more dollars on to the tab I explain to her that I discussed the price with Ali via text message and I have the text to prove it . Fast forward so she decide she will honor the $100 even so I pulled out my custom order receipt she tells me she need that receipt I'm like this is for my records I'm not giving you my custom ordered receipt.I said I will take a picture of the receipt this lady tried to snatch the receipt out of my hand not once but twice I jerk my hand back both time now she decided that she's not going to give me my shirts she takes it to the back and refused to give me the shirts that I paid for. So I called the police again but this time for theft I told the dispatcher that I want to press charges on her for theft after I explained everything to the dispatcher she told me she was sending a unit out. She must have realized after hearing my conversation with 911 that I wanted to press charges for theft maybe 10/15 minutes may have passed she come and tell me ok I can discount the stained shirts she even offered to give money on dry cleaning. Keep in mind my wedding is Saturday we leave Thursday @ 6 am for our flight my wedding is in Mexico. So no I don't have time to try and get last minute cleaning done so I declined her offer I was so frustrated and exhausted from this. Since they refused to give me my refund back and after waiting on the police to no avail and the fact that I still had to do my final dress fitting I was over this I gave her the receipt she so desperately wanted and i took the shirts and left. Not one time did I curse, yelled, clown, nor disrespect this lady or the company I kept cool while she talked about me to a male work. I also have pictures and text messages as proof if anyone who will be purchasing or considering this company write a reply asking for the picture I will be more than happy to supply you with a copy. Also I contacted Ali via text about the shirts my fiancé did as well he never responded back to either of us but the lady called and texted him right in front of me and he answered. This is unacceptable on so many levels as a company you are supplying a service to the customer to provide them with quality none damage or defected items you should take care of your customer and treat them with dignity and respect because they are spending money at your store.I want everyone to know about my experience I pray people stop shopping at this store or they lose so much business they have to close down. I'm going to have all my family and friends repost my review on all social media platforms along with the name and location of the company weekly so I can get the message out there about this store.They show me that they did value me as a customer nor did they care that they ruined my wedding the shirts matched the Groom now I have to find shirts on short notice. read more

This place has the best customer service and awesome clothes. They don't hound you or follow you; if you ask, they are sincerely there to help you. I've never ever felt pressured to buy anything. The man (maybe the owner) is the nicest man ever. Also, the place isn't huge but that is a great thing in and of itself because they have the best/latest/no filler/no junk stuff. All of the sales people are great, the tailor does a wonderful job and there's a really nice lady named Zainab (I know she spells her name differently) but anyhow she's very helpful. Always remembers me and is my go to lady when it comes to buying bangles and earrings. I don't really buy many outfits there because they have only recently started carrying pakistani outfits (long kameez tops) and I rarely wear Indian outfits lately. Also when my gf was getting married a lot of her Caucasian girlfriends wanted to wear tikkas and bindis and Zainab was super helpful in helping the girls pick out things that suited them and she always gives me a great price. I have never had a poor experience here and love this store. Also they care a lot of selection for Auntys or bigger ladies and that too is a bonus because a lot of stores don't have pretty outfits in those sizes but this store definitely does. The main in-charge persons are good and caring but BE CAREFUL with the sales girl by name Mamta, she does third grade business. She is just worried about the item getting sold. If you ask her opinion after you try a dress she will lie to you sweetly that it looks good on you, doesn't really care about the customer. When we asked her why she does like this she told us she damn cares about customer and infact said that the customer is not a child to be told. So, NON-INDIANS please don't take her opinion at all and try to avoid her. She is very cunning, impatient, lazy, doesn't like to show you many varieties available and quotes prices upon customer looks. Also she thinks she owns the store and tries to win over customer by giving less price than retail price. All their prices are negotiable upto 50% off the retail price. Be cautious if you are doing alterations, she decides how to alter based on what she thinks is good which is absolutely worthless. Gave 2 stars for just the hard working owners. read more
