My friends and I had our fairly regular brunch date, and someone mentioned going to Harwin after to try on lehengas in preparation for our friend's mehndi party. One of my friends in the group was apprehensive about shopping, but we ended up going. The future bride took us to Roop Sari Palace and showed us the way including the aunties that helped us find dresses in our size. It's basically by bra size in inches. There were so many to choose from that it was a little bit overwhelming at first. Everything was just so beautiful. I literally wanted a couple of them and was torn between two before I settled on one. I must've tried 8-9 different ones which aren't that easy to get on/off. We spent 3 hours there. I even saw some in the kids section that I thought would be fine so that I wouldn't have to hem the long lehenga skirt. I actually didn't try any from the kids section though. Lol. There are only 2 dressing rooms that are small. You could barely hang up 2 or 3 pieces because the skirts are so full, and some have a petticoat. We and other young ladies shared them going in and out at times and asking for our phones or shoes. It felt like a fashion show similar to the movie 27 Dresses where she tries on all of her bridesmaids dresses. There was one particular auntie who was helpful and brought us more lehenga designs we might like, tighten the skirt or plete/drape the dupatta. Mine was on sale for a fair price considering all the beading/sequins, and our bride-to-be friend did some price bargaining for our other friend. I had to get mine altered since the lehenga was too long, and I lost so much weight after purchasing it 5 months ago. I took it to a tailor, but they do offer tailoring here. I didn't want to drive all the way back here just for that. It's a beautiful, traditional lehenga, and I enjoyed wearing it at the mehndi party and got many compliments. I hope I get to wear it again or at least pieces of it for different occasions. I'm told there are plenty of other stores nearby like this one, so I'm sure you're bound to find something you like that fits your fancy.

Their billing system doesn't have a display facing the customer , so you don't really know what they are billing . I specifically asked the counter service lady if there's no display for me to verify and they booth she said she would tell me the price of each item at billing she didn't . And come home and I saw I was billed twice for one item amount 32$ and then I had to go and explain the issue and almost denying that I even bought anything 2 days ago as their system didn't show anything . Then they seemed confused if I returned some stuff which was non returnable but then one of the h ladies came and she went in the back of the store to verify if I was telling the truth I think by going to brought the cctv footage . She came back after a few minutes and apologized for the double billing mistake . I was glad Atleast she verified and processed a return amount . All you hav it do is sign up and you receive a lovely reusable bag. Last year my bag was orange and this year it's irredecent with pink handles. They provide a DJ and DIY photo station. They also provide a balloon booth for kids. You also, get a list of participating stores that offer a discount for this weekend as well. Some stores offer great value and others just have a glass of champagne. Can't wait to next year!

It should actually be named "Houston Premium Stores." There is virtually NO outlet prices on anything. Adidas store had a great selection, but proved my lack of outlet prices when I viewed a particular shoe that was labeled: Retail price: $100, our price: $100. Go figure! Selection at many of the other stores was minimal. They all appeared to have off-retail styles but with regular retail prices. Not so sure I'd made a special trip here for any of their usual stores. Only saving grace was that a Birkenstock store has opened here, which means that I won't need to drive downtown to Rice Village if I want a new pair of Birks!
