My marble kitchen countertops were etched and stained. Jimmy explained the options to me and we agreed on a course of action. I had to reschedule the work several times due to other work that was running over schedule. Jimmy was so easy to work with and patient with my schedule changes. After doing the initial poulticing and honing, the team thought they could do a better job removing some stains with a second application of poultice and re-honing. The result was great! I contracted with Allied Marble and Granite to fabricate a fireplace surround in our condo, having had to replace the fireplace due to malfunction of the original. I found Allied through an internet search, and I confess I did little research on the company - online reviews seemed good, so I contacted them by email. Kyle responded to my enquiry (and all subsequent communications) within hours, suggesting two approaches to my particular installation. After selecting a material to our liking, we scheduled the job, which took place in stages: patterning, fabrication, and installation. Rudy, who did the patterning, was nothing short of amazing. As a woodworker of 30 years, I recognize craftsmanship when I see it, and he is one. He and his coworker, CT, returned two weeks later to install the stone, and the two of them did a great job. I am thrilled with the result. I'm sure our job was very close to the smallest of the jobs that Allied does, but at every turn they were prompt in communication and helpful in scheduling. I wanted them to fabricate a several pieces of granite, all well and good, but I didn't want them to install it since I have done many installations myself, well then they tell me it's going to cost me an additional $1400 just to deliver the stone. That's a completely over inflated price. I spoke to one of there competitors only moments before who where going to deliver for $400, which is ridiculous in itself. It appears that if they aren't needed to install then they plan to get paid anyway by ripping you off through delivery. G.S. Stone was going to deliver and install for only 300, funny that. They do realize that all they are doing is putting the stone on a truck and driving for a little while then taking it off a truck, right?!! read more

I walked in, was greeted by the blond woman in the first office you come to. I explain I need a simple window ledge. She tells me it will be $250 and begins to walk me back to the show room. I am doing the cost in my head and things don't add up. I ask how cost is calculated, she says "our minimum charge is $250". I ask how much marble one can get normally for $250. She just repeats "our minimum cost here is $250". I said "that didn't answer my question". She doesn't say a word, just turns and goes back to her office as I leave. She's a charmer. I had used Allied Marble several years ago for a granite facing on a fireplace in my Bellevue home. The results on that project were spectacular. These guys are artists with granite. They cut the stone in a way so that the grain pattern flowed across the hearth and up the wall. Just beautiful. I recently used Allied to install granite counter tops in my new home in Everett. Kyle and Jimmy were very responsive and accommodating and worked with my schedule to keep their part of the project on time. The template and installation guys were on time and did an excellent job with a difficult project that included wrapping granite around a peninsula and bar area. The results are sensational and we are very pleased with the work that they did. We had tried to work with the big box stores but experienced poor customer service so we moved on. Surprisingly Allied was comparable or less cost than what we had been quoted by the big box guys and the craftsmanship is second to none. I highly recommend Allied Marble for their top quality tile installation. Our remodel project was unusual - the installation of about 700 square feet of porcelain ceramic tile on our new second story waterproof deck. As an engineer, I knew that the waterproofing had to be perfect, and the finish and aesthetic had to be of the highest quality and the installation had to account for years of expansion and contraction from blazing sun to the coldest winter night. From the very first contact I knew that everyone at Allied Marble took great pride in their work, their results and having happy customers. Quang, Kyle, Jimmy, Rudy, and all the team were great! When I saw the care that Rudy and the Allied Marble crew took on the layout and preparation to make everything perfect I stopped worrying. Like most houses, nothing is perfectly square, straight or parallel, but Rudy offered suggestions and carefully explained how he would accommodate the deck issues. Each day everything was clear and clean when the crew was done. Each day their progress was impressive. From the very start of the project they had a "highest quality" vision for the finished project. The layout and tile installation was so carefully done that all the grout sightlines are perfectly straight (in 44 feet!) and the tile heights and the edge alignments are perfect. The silicon grout lines are also perfect all the way to the edge. I am very happy with Allied, their staff, and the installation of the waterproof deck tile.
