Eastside was straight forward with their pricing and were very responsive during the estimation process. I explained to Drew that they would be remodeling the bathroom with our only shower, and he was sure to squeeze us in in order to expedite the process. Overall the project was well managed - because we were out our shower, Drew was focused on getting us a shower as quick as possible, something my wife certainly appreciated! The team, including all of the sub-contractors that Drew brought in were skilled at their job and friendly. The bathroom looks great - it is honestly the nicest looking room in our house now. My wife shows everyone the bathroom!

I don't remember who I spoke to but I do remember that he said I would likely not choose them because they wouldn't be the cheapest. I don't know how or why he came to that conclusion in our brief phone conversation, but I told him I wasn't looking for the "cheapest", I was looking for the best solution. He scheduled a visit and did some measurements and we discussed possible options. I also let him know I was interested in kitchen redesign so that I could have a bigger fridge but he didn't seem interested and just went back to the powder room. When he was done, he said it would take about two weeks for a quote but I may need to reach out to him again. I asked if he had a card and he said no, then left. That was on June 11 and now it's July 28. If a business wants my business, they would send a quote. Maybe my little job isn't worth their time because business is booming, who knows. When your gut tells you they aren't interested, listen to your gut.

They are a standard size cabinet sales and install company & do not have custom size cabinets. They didn't have black cabinets that we originally wanted but we do like the dark espresso cabinets we settled on. We also ended up with two deep dead end cabinets vs corner units since they do not do custom sizing. We were, however, highly motivated by their low prices & ability to install both cabinets & quartz counters in one day. The rest of our experience was less important to us than getting a good price and install experience. I noticed a couple earlier reviews marked them down to one star for the customer service. In our experience in the show room, they let you look around independently and don't use high pressure sales techniques; which we appreciated. some of the other reviewers seemed to want a lot of direct personal attention & other sales bells/whistles. If shoppers expect high-end customer service for low priced product, I do see how they can be disappointed. To place an order, take your measurement drawing to the person at the counter. If you use them as installers, they will check your measurements on site prior to install and revise the order, if needed. I do recommend using them to install cabinets, counters, AND pulls since if you make a mistake installing it yourself (drill the wrong holes in the cabinet fronts, etc.) they require you to buy the whole cabinet to replace the parts. They don't sell separate parts like hinges & fronts. We made the mistake of not having them install the pulls & our handyman made a mistake drilling the wrong holes (4" vs 5") for pulls on two drawers. He had to buy two whole cabinets just to replace the drawer fronts. I have marked down half a star for this since they didn't warn us about this policy during our purchase & there was no mention of them installing the pulls during our purchase. Luckily, the cabinets are not super expensive & our handyman thinks he can resell the cabinets with the 4" pull holes. I have further marked down another half star for a couple of small issues during install. 1) They didn't warn us about the very strong & toxic smelling adhesive that would be used for the counter tops. In retrospect, we likely should have been out of the house during countertop portion of install since we all had headaches the next day. 2) There was a small issue with the electrical outlet for the microwave cabinet. They mis-measured where to cut the hole in the cabinet & attempted, to instead, move the electrical. Our electrician popped over during install and told them that wasn't safe. So, they cut an extra hole in the back of the cabinet (where it should have been to begin with) to allow for the outlet. Due to a soffit situation for heating ducts, the right side of the microwave cabinet is permanently closed (as expected) & so we will never see the extra hole at the back of the cabinet & don't really care about it. In all, the price was right for our basement kitchen set-up & has met our expectations.

My cabinet was wrong size and didn't fit and I talked to the woman at front desk 3 times and she took my info but then never called me back. I then called again after 6 weeks of trying to get return phone call and he said it would be another min charge of $850 after I already spend over $3k with them. Total scam and riffoff place. I will never go back and will never recommend them to anyone.

Not only did the build out take forever (7 months), but since picking up my van on my first/second use, I have had roof leaks because they didn't install the "C" gaskets right for the AC unit, I experienced multiple leaks in the pressurized plumbing system (see pictures below) which caused wood damage to the cabinetry due to poor PEX seals, I still have no relief from the misbehaving (and Rydawell recommended) Ecoflow electrical system, I discovered they failed to insulate the sliding door, they actually plumbed the gray water lines into the BOTTOM of the gray water tank using the same penetration point as the drain (this caused water to back up into the shower pan when using the sinks (not to mention it would fail completely in freezing weather) and I discovered that the Rixen heating system was installed against manufacturer recommendations (to name just some of the issues). This has caused me thousands of dollars to get repaired (so far) at another (competent) van builder. While his hourly rate may seem cheaper, it takes him much longer to accomplish work items. As an example, his quote to install a 2nd battery (which he was supposed to have left room for) was twice as long as I was able to get it done elsewhere by professional van builders.

During the initial call, I explained that we were ready to move forward soon, assuming we could agree on pricing. I also casually mentioned that my husband was currently on a work trip and that we would make a final decision within about a week. The scheduler responded by asking if we could postpone the estimate until all "homeowners" were available at home because there would otherwise be too much back-and-forth. I found this to be an odd requirement for a simple estimate appointment and said so. The response was that there would be "a lot of back and forth." That explanation didn't sit well with me. For a project worth tens of thousands of dollars, it felt unreasonable to suggest that an initial estimate couldn't proceed because one spouse was away. Whether intentional or not, the interaction came across as dismissive and left me feeling like they were unwilling to work with me directly during the early stages of the process. At that point, I asked them to end the call and not contact me again.

I strongly encourage folks to steer clear of this company. I just finished a large remodel with 15+ subcontractors and I have never experienced a lack of professionalism quite like this. Image 1 is what a porcelain mitered edge is supposed to look like (from Bedrosian, the porcelain supplier). Image 2 and 3 is what a mitered edge from Absolute Granite looks like. When they arrived with this island, I asked them not to install it as the quality was sub-par (the builder, designer, and architect on the project all agreed that this work would not meet any industry standard). I asked them for a refund. They refused and are charging the full amount (even with the island never being installed in my home). They are charging me over $3K for an island that was done incorrectly and was never even installed. They went on to say they could re-do it, but the edges would look the same. I suggested we meet with a mediator and they refused and encourage me to take them to court - they went on to say they will win. Also, they deliver their products in an ambulance (no company logo, etc), so all of my neighbors were calling me to make sure my family was ok. The approach to business, low-quality work, and lack of professionalism is concerning and I hope that this post will save someone else from the heartache of dealing with this company. It's disheartening when companies like this take advantage of people. read more

Absolute G&M is amazing! After talking to several (SEVERAL) companies about redoing our kitchen countertops, Absolute gave us the best estimate and bent over backwards to do everything we wanted done. Jeff was great to work with and handled all the details. They even organized everything for our tile backsplash we were putting in. Jeff came to our home several times during the process to check up on things and make sure the process was going smooth. The installers were all awesome and really nice. They are all perfectionists- which I LOVED. The took back an entire section of our countertop and fixed it just to get it perfect (I didn't notice anything about it). I had lots of questions during the process and went back-and-forth a lot- and Jeff always got back to me quickly and was willing to answer anything I needed. He even called from out of town to make sure we had all the information we needed. Will work with them again to do other rooms in our house. We finally found Absolute GM by referral and not only did they help us with guidance and selection of materials, they also made recommendations to help us stay within budget for our projects. We got the finest craftsmanship at a cost effective price. Honest, respectful, helpful and really nice people to work with. Our highest recommendation. Remember when you start getting bids for granite, quartzite,marble, quartz composite - the most important thing overall is the craftsmanship of the finished project. Selene Davis from Absolute Granite is a delight to work with. I had a hard time with getting my kitchen granite installation done in time with another installer. I was introduced to Selene by my neighbor and she got the job done in a week! She is a true "get-it-done-quick" and "get-it-done-right" kind of person. She is also very good with design ideas w.r.t picking aesthetically complimentary backsplash and flooring. She refused to allow me to put in 4" inch granite backsplash :), but instead pointed me to some extremely good tile options that would look great with my countertop! After a water disaster we were in a great rush to finish our project and finish it well. One thing I also appreciated was the fact that they came professionally dressed in their Bora Construction uniforms. This is not a big detail, but it shows they have pride in what they do. Other general contractors showed up in jeans and a t-shirt. Throughout the project, the project manager at Bora was very communicative and gave us a heads up on how the project was going. When they found a water pipe and HVAC inside the wall we wanted to knockdown, they developed a way to reroute the plumbing and HVAC on the same day and without the ridiculous cost overrun. They basically charged me for just the materials. It's this courtesy that they showed throughout the project. They did such a great job, we asked them to do the same cabinetry and flooring on the powder room. It wasn't in the original estimate and timeline, but they added it to the scope of the project and still kept their delivery date. Wow! The quality is top notch. The engineered vinyl tile looks beautiful and the stacked stone on the fireplace looks absolutely gorgeous. They made expert suggestions like adding more recessed lighting to the dining area and living room, which makes our home so much warmer and brighter. I have pictures of before and after. I'll be posting those if I can. We are pleased with our choice to go with Bora Construction. Oh, one more thing. The price was cheaper than the competitors by more than 10%. I know this for a fact because we gave the same specifications and ideas to two other companies. The other companies suggested similar materials and methods, but charged more. In the end, we got a new kitchen, living room, fireplace, powder room and dining room for less than the other guys. We had smooth communication throughout the project. Thanks Bora.

Writing a very lengthy review in hopes that others can make informed decisions about working with Phinney Ridge after our disappointing experience. In October of 2024, we chose to work with a small, local business because we expected a higher standard of quality, craftsmanship, and personalized service. Our initial experience in the showroom met that expectation and gave us confidence in the process ahead. Unfortunately, the remainder of the project did not reflect the level of service or product quality we anticipated. 10 months later, and we are severely disappointed with how things unfolded. This was a substantial investment--nearly $70,000--and we expected a finished product that aligned with the value and promises made. The first issues arose when the cabinet boxes arrived damaged. To PRC's credit, they addressed this with a restoration expert, and we're satisfied with how those specific concerns were resolved. However, the ongoing issues with woodgrain matching have been far more frustrating and ultimately unresolved. After three separate attempts, it became clear that a proper match was not going to be achieved. We were made aware by PRC that we would be receiving cabinets "from the same tree" to ensure an exact match across all cabinets. One day one, we had multiple varieties of wood grain/color. If consistent material wasn't available, we should have been given the option to wait. Instead, we now have five visibly different shades of wood throughout our kitchen as shown in the photos. We were also disappointed in the communication and service from Phinney Ridge once the "Pacific Coastal Marketing" team (a dealer representative/middleman) became involved. We did not expect to work through a third party--we selected PRC specifically because we wanted to avoid that kind of detachment. I found myself repeatedly chasing updates, which, according to PRC's own "Cabinetry Design Services" document, should have been handled by their team. It was unclear who was responsible for what, and the handoffs between Phinney Ridge and Pacific Coastal Marketing only compounded our frustration. To illustrate this disconnect, I'll share a quote from Pacific Coastal Marketing's homepage that I found telling: "Coastal Pacific Marketing offers valuable knowledge of the markets they serve... Their goal is always the mutual success of the manufacturer, the dealership, and each individual designer." Notably, the customer is not mentioned. This perfectly reflects the experience we had: at a certain point, it felt like the end user was no longer the priority. I share all of this not to be combative, but because I believe in honest feedback and hope this helps improve future experiences. Based on our experience, I unfortunately cannot recommend Phinney Ridge Cabinets to others.
