I had a good beginning with Avrio and several of their employees rescued them from a one star review! I had a remanant made into counteer for my bathroom. As scheduled, plumber came and removed old plumbing. Several hours later (with no communication when they were coming) the counte guy came and found that the sinks I had ordered from them were not on the truck. He spent about 15 minutes and in that time I called Carly who was my sales contact there, and she said that the sinks had not arrived and apparently Justine who was the project manager didn't do her job and checked to see all was in order for the next day, or rescheduled my job when I spoke to her the day before to find out arrival time. Very sloppy. Carly was gracious and explained everything and it wasn't her fault but she understood customer service! What saved the day is one of their employees went and picked up the sinks, and brought them from south Seattle to Shoreline. The installer, Daniel, stayed during that time and installed the counters with sinks. By now it is about 5:30 or later. The plumber who had been told by myself and Carly that he didn't need to come because of the snafu came from home to install the sinks and wasn't done until 8:30 pm that night (Friday night at that!). Val, and Daniel were wonderful but really shouldn't have had to shoulder the brunt of this late work because somebody else didn't do her job. I may go to them again for kitchen counters but will be wary.... 11/3/20- Update- I was contacted by the owner and he was a good listener about the issue, and I felt he really heard me. I will update this review to a 4 star based on his effort as I appreciate owners that really care. read more

Unfortunately this company is not only very misleading but extremely incompetent. Rachel is their point of contact and you have to be careful because she will tell you they can do something without actually verifying. Also poor communication. The owner Sergiu is also very flaky and once they get your money, will go mia. They mentioned they could resurface our granite countertops and when they sent their crew there, the countertops still looked bad and the crew said they're not able to do such a thing. Rachel acknowledged the mixup and her mistake but stated they would not give us our money back even though that was not the intended job we hired them for. Same for Sergiu, no communication. I would look elsewhere since they will tell you what you want to hear to get a job. read more

Used Avrio to get all the stone for our whole house remodel. From the quartz on the counters to the slab porcelain in the shower and it all turned out beautiful. We had zero issues with Avrio. Everyone we came in contact with was very professional and they definitely know their trade. We recently had to have a countertop removed for some work in our kitchen and Yuri was very responsive. I have used Avrio for three projects now. The first was $15K and countertops and the work was clearly good enough to keep me coming back. I generated the CAD designs myself but you could hand them a drawing on a napkin and they'd do a good job. Their templating is quick, easy, and very accurate. Leadtime is pretty quick, especially if it's a big project and you are purchasing a whole slab. Arielle is great to work with. Cova was my installer each time and he and his crew do a fantastic job. Start to finish we had a 5 star + experience. We set up an appointment with Susanne the sales person. The knowledge and guidance we got regarding our kitchen granite project was awesome and the finish product is amazing. In a time of the DIY big box store trend going on, you forget what is was like dealing with specialists in the field. The misconception of getting a better deal and the ease of getting everything from one store, is something I fell for in the past. Avrio did a professional job with the special quartz pattern I picked out: "Kendal". They came out and measured my walls and outlets with a laser light to get accurate numbers. Then the crew came in and fine-tuned the edges of the quartz to fit perfectly on my cabinet tops and the wall...it looks beautiful! My friends, the contractors, everyone always asked where I got my countertop...it definitely makes a nice statement. I definitely recommend Avrio Surfaces, and I am especially happy with the care and consideration of Yuri Bekchiu, the Sales Consultant that I worked with. We hired a contractor from Square Foot Llc for our kitchen remodel. The fact that it took 6 months to finish is a different story and different review entirely however we trusted this contractor to pay for the job, as we paid the contractor. Once the job was finally completed, we received notice that a lien was as placed on our home from Avrio Surfaces for non payment. Wow! I understand this is legal however why wouldn't you go after the contractor that didn't pay you??? They are just as much a fraud as the contractor. You cannot trust anyone anymore. I do not recommend this company. read more

Wish I went with a different vendor. I used NW Granite when I was doing my remodel. This entailed getting two counter tops for two kitchens as I own a duplex. Issues with them: 1. They truly only want your money and won't respond unless if you pest them to have something fixed. For example, I had 1 unit's counter tops installed and it was obvious at the counter tops didn't match. I took many photos and told them it almost looked yellow/beige. I was insistent that this must have been a different slab. It took a lot of back and forth and instead of replacing it, the owner ended up coming to my house and trying to convince me that it matched despite having two pieces side by side. It was his sales person who honestly said it didn't match. They ended up replacing it for me with no apologies for the hassle or at least providing some credit for the leg work. 2. Another example of not being responsive. I recently had my quartz chipped.. yes, quartz chipped. They never even responded to even provide a solution to this or offer assistance. 3. 1 of the kitchen counter tops was $3500 for a small kitchen with one of their more expensive counter tops (Misterio). They installed it in two different slabs, when it should have been on slab. I had expressed my concern with the SEAM that was right next to the kitchen sink and the installer told me just use Bar Keeper's friend. What? The whole point of quartz was not having to deal with the upkeep. It doesn't stain like marble and there shouldn't have been a seam. This is an example of a company that chooses to make money and try to give you left over scrapes and connect the pieces. Til this day I hate the seam and it constantly gets dirty. Who has time to baby sit a counter seam because a company was too cheap to provide one full slab. read more

New kitchen counters is a major purchase for a homeowner and we expected it to be a stressful and difficult experience. Fortunately we selected Avrio. We stopped by the showroom in Redmond just to look at Quartz as a possibility and Yuri was so knowledgeable and helpful that we decided on the spot to work with him. It took less time than we expected to select our material, and set up the template appointment. The entire process worked out just as Yuri had told us, appointments on time, friendly and skilled people coming out for both the measuring and the installation. With our size there were two seams, and you have to look hard to find them. With the additional material we also got a bathroom vanity top/sink. We love our beautiful new counters, and recommend Avrio highly! read more

We hired NW Granite and Marble to replace our aged kitchen countertops with granite ones. First of all, communication was excellent; until we paid. Once we paid for our countertops communication was nearly non-existent. The installers didn't show up on the day we were told they would arrive. When we contacted NW Granite they told me that they "never got a 100 percent confirmation that (we) would be home so we never actually sent a service team out." Thanks for the day off waiting all day for a service team that wasn't even coming. Our countertops were finally installed on 12/06/2018 and we gave the installers a check for the quoted amount. We asked for an invoice, but never received one. Then we were contacted by NW Granite and told we owed an additional $600 to cover the tax that was not included in the original invoice; which we never received. We finally received an invoice on 3/27/2019 with the tax included stating we owed the additional near $600. Four MONTHS after we asked for an invoice. My wife works in accounting and this is a way that companies can fudge their numbers to avoid paying taxes when cash or checks are used as payment. But it is NOT LEGAL. Asking for an invoice after so long makes me think that they're committing FRAUD!!! Someone was supposed to come out and fix the soap dispenser that wasn't installed properly the first time around. Never happened. The demolition crew tore holes in our walls when taking out the old countertop and backsplash but we were told that they have no control over this. They did it so how is that possible. NOW they have a disclaimer that they say customers have to sign stating that damage during demolition is not covered. Malea Moreno even asked my wife to approve it AFTER THE DAMAGE WAS DONE. BS. They sent us an e-mail stating that they might waive the $600 since we had such a bad experience with them on 4/03/2019 but then denied that they ever offered to do that. Both e-mails sent by the same person. My wife told them that she wouldn't be paying them anything else unless they sent someone to fix the damage they caused to our walls. Now, 2/4/2020 we get a letter from Sabrina Peters, their Accountant,stating that they intend to place a lien on our home for the nearly $600 owing. The letter is not signed. We have never received an OFFICIAL bill for this amount owing. We never received an invoice for the payments made. This company reeks of fraud and we warn anyone who will listen to stay away. read more

Not a good company, this was far and away the worst experience we had with a company during our home renovation. We should have read the other reviews before hiring. We had quartz counter tops installed and within a few months the only seam on the job cracked. They refused to warranty (or even look at it) and quoted us $250/hr for any repair work! We explained coffee had spilled on it and they said that was most likely the cause?? Luckily another company came in and saved the day - did a repair free of charge even though we weren't their customer. We also ordered our back-splash tile through NW Granite. That was initially a smooth process but on a subsequent order of tile they mixed up our orders, refused to correct it internally, and then overcharged us based on an entirely different order (wrong tile altogether). It took weeks of sending invoices and very simple math on the charges to get a refund. We'd paid almost $7K to this company and could hardly get a call back to refund an incorrect charge. There are much better operators out there, I'd steer clear. read more

I made an appointment for June 16 for my project; a fairly large job as I needed counters for a large kitchen/island, laundry room and wet bar. I made the appt online and they sent two confirmations yet when I arrived the person in the office (Sarah) could find no record of me and said "the person who usually meets with customers isn't here today". (So why was my appointment even scheduled then?). She did show me around for a few minutes and took some notes. I'd brought photos, sketches and measurements (which she took), and I chose two different quartz products for her to price. She said she's get back to me with an estimate in a few days. A week went by and she emailed to say due to the large scale of my project she was passing it off to "Arielle", (another employee) and that I would hear from her soon. Two weeks later I hadn't heard a word so on July 7 I again had mailed Sarah, cc'd Arielle on the email, and asked when they would be able to send the estimate. I never received a response or heard a peep from either one of them. Save yourself some time and frustration and shop for your countertops somewhere else where they want your business. read more

This experience has been a mess since install day. Problem after problem after problem. The job is not finished, there is permanent damage to the island top cause by them and the owner is demanding payment and threatening collections. Because he won't finish the job and doesn't feel he needs to do anything more for us, he keeps stringing us along saying he will "send out a pro" to polish the top after we pay the final portion. Other fabricators said no they can't do any more to it. It will only get worse. Avrio will not give us a copy of the contract. Other fabricators and contractors have told us the damage Avrio caused is permanent. Why demand payment for a job not finished? Replace the island slabs or remove them and go away. With no further payment due after the initial deposit. We did NOT get what was agreed upon. read more

Never pay full amount up front for work done by this business. If you end up in a disagreement, they won't respond to work it out. They didn't measure the job correctly and insisted I pay more for them to return. The damage to my walls need extensive work and section completely redone by me due to pry bar marks. This was due to their issue of not measuring correctly in the first place. Again, do not pay full amount up front. read more

The experience of working with this company was extremely disappointing. Throughout the process, especially after problems arose, it was difficult to get a call back from Yuri, the salesperson and he was even less responsive over email. They made a mistake on my invoice after multiple emails to them about changing a quantity. The installers gouged divots in my wall and instead of telling me, they covered them up with painters tape. They also forgot to re-attach my dishwasher and had to come back to fix it. The seams that Yuri told me they did extremely well, turned out noticeable and I'm pretty positive he lied to me about the total square footage that was used. This is a follow-up on a previous 3-star review. I do not know if this deletes my previous review, so I will quote it. Here is my previous review: "NW Granite & Marble told me that the seam in the granite countertop would not be visible and that it is easier to install when the countertop is in multiple pieces: less risk of damage and less manpower required. I said that I did not want a seam in the countertop, and it would be fine if the wall got some dings, and that we could remove a trim piece for them, and we would pay for the two extra guys needed to carry a larger countertop piece. Prior to installation, I coordinated with their pre-project measurer to evaluate the space, and together we determined that it was logistically possible to get a one-piece countertop installed. Nonetheless, NW Granite reiterated that the seam would not be visible, so, with that assertion on their part, I acquiesced to having a seam. NW Granite then installed the countertop, and ...surprise... the seam is visible. I called NW Granite office: they claimed that they told me that the seam would be visible and that it would be 1/16" wide. In response to my concerns, the owner of NW Granite visited my house to review the seam. He declared that it was a good seam in that it meet local standards and said that the color match of the seam material was a custom color match and that color match was good....when obviously the color did not match since I could clearly see the seam. The weirdest part was that at no point did the owner offer to do something help the situation. Still waiting to hear from them. However, my wife says the seam is okay for her, despite her being a person that dislikes seams, so I guess it is okay after all." I posted that Yelp review on February 14th. Sergey replied to that review today: October 25th. In Sergey's Yelp reply, he refers to an L-shaped granite countertop with a sink cutout. The countertop that they installed in two pieces at my house was quartz, not granite, and it was straight, not L-shaped, so somehow he did not even get that right. Perhaps he meant to respond to the review of a different Mike: there are a lot of us. In his response to my review, he mentions that they determined that they wanted a seam to reduce the chance of injury to their installers and to my countertops and flooring. However, the actual conversation was that it would take 4 installers to install the countertop in one piece rather than the usual 2 installers: I said that I would pay for the extra installers. Also, the installer told me that if I wanted it in one piece, that the walls could be damaged. I told the installer that it was fine for the walls & trim to be damaged during installation of the countertop because I can pay for my handy-man to fix that. And, yet, despite my clarifications on what I wanted, and that I was willing to pay for the extras, I ended up with a two-piece countertop. In his Yelp response, he said that "we never promise our clients that the seam will be invisible." Well, the fact is that the woman on the phone said 'invisible' and that was why I allowed myself to be pushed into having a seam. I realize that the person making that statement was his employee and not him, but, just saying, it happened. The point of all this is that NW Granite still refuse to admit any missteps... and yet in NW Granite's response to my review... eight months after my review... NW Granite references the wrong countertop. So, that kinda undermines their claim that they did not make any communication mistakes. read more

Our new kitchen countertops transformed the space. Very happy with the purchase and the service. They hit every date as promised and the installation was fast and easy. This is not a purchase that most people make that often, so always stressful in making a decision. We compared them against Home Depot and the price for what we wanted was a bit cheaper, and definitely faster. I've waited to submit a review until we completed our second remodel using Nw Granite and Marble. Our first experience involved granite on a very large island and quartz on perimeter counters in a large kitchen remodel in Edmonds. In addition,they did two new counters for two bathrooms and tile for a shower tub area. The job was done perfectly. We had only two days without the use of our kitchen. Our bath remodel took much longer as we were coordinating with plumber, etc. Our second job was much smaller. A new quartz counter top in a kitchen in Seattle. We had a small glitch in the back splash but Sergiu came out to look at it and while there leveled our range himself and made a couple helpful suggestions. I can't imagine anyone doing a better job. I worked with Sergiu, the owner, for my mother's 2 bathroom remodels. The initial retail/sell meetings went well as Sergiu informed me we could save money by using a remnant and was told it would take only 2-3 business days to fabricate. Delivery and installation is where it went downhill. Every meeting from measurement , to delivery and install there were delays, no shows, and overall poor communication from the company. Here is a breakdown of what went wrong in the delivery/install. 1. Fabrication took a week, not 2-3 days. Sergiu said it was because they got more jobs and would need more time. Ok, fair enough... no star deduction. We got delayed because the custom cabinets took longer to install due to drywall repair. 2. Delivery: The crew was behind schedule that day, while understandable, the professional thing to do would have been a simple phone call informing us of the delay. I called Sergiu and had no idea the team was behind schedule. One star deduction. 3. Installation: For some reason, the trim didn't get installed the same day at the counter. Also, one of the edges needed to be trimmed down due to a sink placement. The trim was suppose to be installed 2 days later, on a late Saturday morning and Sergiu had told my mother he would personally take care of it. Well, come late Saturday morning no one arrived and no phone call. My mother finally tracked down Sergiu and he promised Monday it would all be done, which it was then finally done. Again, a call before the promised 11am arrival to let us know the trim wouldn't be done that day would have been the professional thing to do. Another star and possibly half a star deduction because this lack of communication happened before. We worked with 3 different sub-contractors on this bathroom remodel and by far NW Granite was the worst in terms of service. All the other subs delivered on time and showed up when they said they would. Frankly, I would give them 2.5 stars if that was an option but I can't so I will round to 3 stars. read more

Finally got the time to write a review for these guys. I worked predominately with Yuri. His demeanor and knowledge of the stones were extremely helpful, I originally had my order booked at home depot for my kitchen and bathrooms, but when searching for remnants pieces for my fireplace I found these guys. I ended up cancelling my order and went with them. Always quick to respond and always a pleasure to deal with. Meeting up with Yuri just felt like it was social hour. Love these guys. Great prices, can get any marble from the major suppliers, make sure you speak to these guys when you're looking to redo anything with marble or granite. read more

UPDATE: Everything has been resolved to our satisfaction with Sergiu . He came out to talk with us on site multiple times to try to resolve our issue with our very large island. There was a manufacturing issue with our quartz for the island. Avrio had to keep sending slabs back to the manufacturer for waves and dull spots across the surface. One employee spent hours at the slab warehouse to go through tons of slabs to find ones that weren't defective. They really made sure everything was right this time and had a high quality island finished. Perfect seams that are invisible. Veining lines up perfectly going down the waterfall legs. Working directly with Sergiu was very helpful. I took a star off for the long process and the issues prior to the resolution. read more

I would really like to give 5 stars, but I have to subtract 1 as I will explain. First off, Malea (office manager) is great. She will go out of her way to make sure things are right. We just needed a remnant piece of quartz to do a single sink vanity in our hall bath. They have a great selection of quartz and granite remnants to choose from. After finding the perfect piece, with a little help from Malea, we got our order underway. Turnaround was about a week, which is pretty good, especially this time of year. Now, here's where the star gets removed. When we picked up the vanity, it was loaded into my SUV and headed home. On a dry fit, I noticed a scratch on the top front edge. I immediately contacted them and was able to work directly with Sergiu (owner) on this. He told me, that was unacceptable and a new vanity would be made for us. Perfect response! Malea personally went into the remnant yard to retrieve a new piece. Unfortunately, they did not have any remnants of the same color. She took the time to search through and find as close to matching piece as possible and were able to turn a new vanity with a new sink included around in less than a week. Excellent service. All things considered, we are very satisfied with the experience, notwithstanding the QC error. Honest company who will do what it takes to make the customer leave happy. I did two projects with Northwest Granite. The first project was when I remodeled my kitchen. Everything went great from the selection of the marble to the installation and the communication we had with the business. They where very accommodating to our schedule and they gave us a great price as well. I'm in the restaurant industry. When it was time to open a new location I decided to go with granite tables for my restaurant. I was really happy with our first project so I decided to hire Northwest Granite again. This time I dealt directly with the owner since this project was a little bigger and it required more detail. Since I was a returning costumer, Sergiu the owner gave me a really good price. The selection of the granite was amazing and it fits the ambience of the restaurant perfect. I was again really happy with Northwest Granite on the professionalism, quality and time limit of the project since I only had two weeks to open and they were able to accommodate my schedule once again. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a quality project done at a great price and I could safely say that they are one of the best here in Seattle since I have dealt with a few other companies in the past that I was not very impressed with. They have appeased our quick requests and even made a countertop house-call on Saturday.
