It's been great working with Avrio surfaces. We are returning customers with Avrio. We remodeled our kitchen and bathrooms with Avrio. We had shopped around for Calacutta gold quartz countertops and most stores and wear houses were back ordered for at least 2-3 months. Whereas Avrio had them in stock gave us great price and to top it all they worked around our schedule. Their fabrication was so precise . Can't wait to enjoy my new Kitchen and bathrooms. read more

Superb experience from start to finish. We replaced countertops in kitchen and bath with quartz. Kitchen had some complex angles and features. Measurements were done carefully and the fit was perfect. Installation was done on time and with great attention to detail. They did everything they said, exceeding my expectations for this job. When I was worried about measurements, they re-measured everything to be sure. They were supportive and responsive. Great communication and support from Yuri. When I write a review, I try to accurately describe anything for customers to be wary of. Nothing here. I've done lots of work on several homes over the years. This is easily the best experience I've had in remodeling. Price was good. Worth every penny. read more

We had an outstanding experience with Yuri, Josh, Juvenal and the whole team at Avrio Surfaces. We chose a natural Quartzite stone, which is extremely difficult to work with - they took tremendous care and precision and the end result was amazing. Installers were respectful of our home and left it cleaner than they found it. Their communications on arrival times and any issues was excellent. Don't hesitate to choose Avrio Surfaces. read more

Today our new Quartz countertops were installed--- and they look fantastic! NW Granite and Marble did an incredible job. Our new Quartz countertops are beautiful. They were installed today and completely transformed our kitchen. The quality of workmanship is fantastic. We have a kitchen in the shape of a "U" and three seams had to be used to fit all the angles of our existing counters, and the craftmanship is amazing. I really can't see or find the seams -there are no uneven edges anywhere if you run your hand over the counters, and the heights are perfect. The installers worked meticulously fabricating/fitting the counters. They went over the seams several times -- resulting in an absolutely perfect fit!! We had a few concerns because of the shape of our kitchen and some uneven carpentry work when it was first built, so we made a special trip in to talk with Sergei the owner. But after speaking with the Sergei, and his Production Mgr. Shawn -- all our concerns were put to rest. These guys know what they are doing! Shawn even came out on installation day to make sure every thing went smoothly. The crew who installed the counter tops and bar were meticulous craftsman. The length of the back board is perfect where it joins the wall, and everything has an incredible finished look to it. There are no uneven edges anywhere. Simply beautiful! I noticed a couple of mixed reviews on this page... so, I wanted to take the time to share our very positive experience with "Yelp" readers..... Our experience was completely positive, and we are extremely satisfied! I cannot say enough good things about NW Granite and Marble, we will certainly use them again in the future, and recommend them highly! Thanks, again to Sergei, and Shawn. If I could rate this outfit with NO stars or negative stars I would! We paid over $750--in advance--to have our granite counters sealed. Two guys came on January 16th and were in and out in 15 minutes or less. When the left all the previously inconspicuous hairline cracks were white and rough. I called and Malea told me the sealer just needed longer to dry. The following morning the cracks were still white and rough, so I called Malea again and left a message. Despite my daily messages she still had not contacted me 6 days later. d When she finally called back, I explained the situation and she said the boss, Sergio Bekthiu, would "be out within the hour". Three hours later he arrived. He apologized for the lousy job and said that Malea would schedule a redo. She never called. He also promised to provide a $330 partial refund for the poor job. Two days later a guy showed up unannounced and redid the counters. They were somewhat improved, but the cracks were still white, just not as bright a white. Four days went by and we had received no credit, so I called on January 28th and Bekthiu told me he would check and get back to me by the end of the day. He didn't. Two days later I spoke to him again. He told me I would have the refund run through that day and would send me a copy, but he didn't. The following day I left a message with his answering service, but got no response. As of today, Feb. 5th. and despite my calling several times and leaving messages, no one has called, I have not received the promised refund, the counters look worse than they did before sealing, and they are clearly ducking my calls. Don't use these guys--you'll be sorry you did. read more

Bad quality and worst customer service ever. My general contractor hired NW Granite for my house remodeling in 2014. Less than 3 years' normal use, one under-mount sink was detached from the counter-top, which I never seen before in my whole life. What a quality?! My general contractor helped contacting them for 3 weeks, one time they said they would call immediately but didn't. The other time they said they would come out and call first, I waited for a whole day, neither did they call nor did they show up. I then contacted the owner, Sergiu Bekchiu. He didn't even bother to reply to me. Where is their customer service?! NW Granite did their job at my house simply because my general contractor hired them, not because I chose them. If I knew they would have kept breaking their promises and being so rude, I would never have used them. I was wondering how many good reviews here were written by general contactors? Homeownes be aware!!! read more

Avrio Surfaces - Sink detached ?! - Countertop Installation Near Me - Redmond, Washington

I just called them and asked if they would sell a slab to the public. The lady I spoke to the first time was very friendly and said all I needed to do was call back with the size I was looking for and they would see if their suppliers have it. I called back and the gentleman who answered the phone kept trying to get me to come in with my plans, even though we determined I need to buy a full slab. I had to argue with him and ask him 3 times before he would tell me how much a slab would be. He said I needed to come in and see it first. I explained that I didn't want to make a trip into Seattle to look at a slab that is over my budget. He then reluctantly gave me an estimate. In this day and age, if you aren't interested in customer service, you should at least be willing to share the facts of your product. Even though I would have bought the slab, I certainly won't now. If it's that hard to get an estimate, imagine what it's like working with them on a job. Too bad. read more

It was very frustrating working with NW Granite & Marble. We hired them to replace the countertops in our kitchen and bathroom and install new backsplash in our kitchen. Due to very poor communication, errors on their side, and (for transparency) poorly-installed cabinets in our bathroom, our kitchen is done and looks great but our bathroom is still unusable and we have been forced to go with another vendor to fix things and finish the job. Pros: * The one seam required for our kitchen countertops was perfectly done. It is very difficult to find even when looking for it. * The tile installation contractor who was used had a very good work ethic and did a perfect job. * They made two courtesy trips to our residence to remove & re-install our bathroom countertops due to issues found with the existing cabinetry. Cons: * There is very poor communication between the staff and customer and also between staff members. Voicemails went unanswered, e-mails were not fully read, and staff was frequently out of the office. At multiple points I had to CC Sergiu (the owner) on e-mail threads to prompt responses after several days of trying to contact staff. * There were multiple days when work was scheduled but nobody showed up. No explanations came from the office until 1-2 days later. * Lack of validation of existing cabinetry by their installers. Our [floating] bathroom cabinets couldn't handle the weight of the quartz countertop and I called this out as a concern to one of the installers before installation but they dismissed it. The cabinets ultimately collapsed during the plumbing work a day later. When I indicated this to the installation manager the first words out of his mouth were "we are not responsible." * Mistakes were made in the manufacturing process of one of the quartz slabs (edge was done wrong - but we were not charged for it). * Final payment took 1-2 weeks to process. Other notes: * There is no online payment option. The only remote options are to read a CC number over the phone or mail a check. * We never signed a contract. This might have some implications if damage is done or something serious happens during installation. read more

Ashley was very helpful in assisting us in selecting a small renmant for our bathroom. I received great service, delivery and installation.

We recently purchased our countertops from this company. The process of getting everything set up was not so great but we made it work. Laurie was great to work with and even stayed late for us because of our work schedule. When we showed up for the meeting and to check out the product there was no one around, no one noticed us come in. I finally called out hello a few times so that someone knew we had arrived. One of the employees came out and measured our countertops and that went well too and again mentioned we needed one piece for this area. I was again told not a problem. What didn't go well was the day of the install - we had specifically requested one large piece for our kitchen but instead received two after telling two people what our needs and requirements are. They did the demo for us but the one technician kept asking if I wanted to keep the sink maybe sell it on craigslist, I stated 3 times no go ahead and take it we don't want it. Once install was underway and almost complete I noticed the pieces are two different shades and you can feel the seam. The installer told me not to worry, it will look great. Well it doesn't look great at all, you can see the different shades and you can most certainly feel the seam. In addition I had a protective film on my dishwasher which they took the liberty of removing and not mentioning. I was handed an invoice by the installer who instantly went for the door - I couldn't even look at what he handed me as quick he was out the door. The invoice was out of date and not accurate. I reached out to my contact Laurie via email and was told she will get back to me as they pride themselves on customer satisfaction but in the mean time their billing department is chasing me down for balance due. We already paid a portion for the services. The women billing didn't even know what was going on at first after I clarified in writing she said she would look into. Instead I get another call for balance due, I was upset with her saying no one has gotten in touch with me on how to fix the issues and she told the installers said it was done and balance is due. I've still not heard from them except to collect - based on their website it states they built their company on customer satisfaction but they are not doing anything to address the issues and we are not satisfied by any means. I'm very disappointed and I would recommend you look elsewhere to get your countertops installed. read more

I contacted NW Granite, I should have done my homework!! They seemed nice up front, however, once it came to the install, this is where the problems started. I am not Picky, I have a nice home on the Eastside. I am not one of those "You cant satisfy Customers". I am easy going, honest and I know that this is construction, and things happen. The workmanship was horrible, the blending of the seams to the Edge Profile, look like that cut the Granite with a Hack Saw. I questioned it at the install, and the installers told me to take it up with the owner, and that "Maybe I should have paid more". That was horrible Next I called the owner, he basically told me, that It is what it is. Strike Two I waited for the invoice, never came after two weeks, however they charged my CC, since I left a deposit on it, they had the number anyway. I called and asked them where the invoice was, the owner told me, we thought that you would not pay, so I billed your CC WOW! $9,500 later, I get what I paid for the installers told me, Charging MY CC without any real consent. Please look to someone else, this company is suspect. I've now found out that they also had a shop in Seattle somewhere and it went Belly Up. read more

would like to start by saying I have been in the Procurement profession for over 35 years and have dealt with thousands of vendors. My wife and I are remodeling our kitchen and solicited several bids for counter tops. NW Granite came in with a very competitive proposal, however, after reading YELP reviews I was extremely hesitant. I sent Sergiu and email and informed him we were going with a different contractor, primarily due to the reviews I read on YELP. Rather than reply to my email, he picked up the phone and called me. After speaking directly with Sergiu, we made the decision to give it a go. Bottom line is I could not be happier. Price competitive, extremely responsive in all manners of communication (phone, text, email). Quality of product and workmanship is top notch. I would recommend working with Sergiu without hesitation. read more

I went to the showroom in Redmond and met with Sarah. I had kitchen design plans with me. I found the granite I liked, Sergui came over snd I explained what part of the slab I didnt want. He said that wasnt a problem. I received the bid and my name was put on the slab. I paid a 50% deposit. When I requested appointment for template, I got the news that the price was being increased by 75%. And that he sold the slab and it would be 90 days to secure new slab. After much talking he says he will honor price, it will be from remnants and could take up to 90 days and I cant preview remnant. Someone will over to measure for template when the are in the area on another job. I find all of this unacceptable. I just want what I was quoted and paid the deposit on. Im requesting my deposit back and using someone else. I would not recommend NW Granite. read more

I'm so glad we passed on this company. We're planning remodels in two bathrooms and looking for granite countertops. When we showed up on Saturday, the store was open with no one in the shop. We looked around alone for 30 minutes then decided to leave. We spied their outdoor storage area and finally found the salesman Bruce, helping another couple also looking outside. We waited patiently until he finished with them, then he proceeded to be completely unhelpful when we wanted his help. My wife called the following Monday and received a rude comment from the same person, Bruce. If your not ready to buy and have them to do the install, stay away. read more

We had our kitchen and bathroom countertops replaced with quartz earlier this year. I primarily worked with Yuri, who was very helpful in finding samples that matched our existing cabinets and the look we were going for. We had NW Granite demo the existing tile counters the same day the new counters went in. We have only one seam in the kitchen and it is impossible to spot unless you know where it is. They were very accommodating, including working with a sink I provided and an unusual bathroom counter shape. When an issue came up months later, they wanted to make sure to keep us happy and it was definitely appreciated. read more

Our experience with NW Granite and Marble was nothing short of first rate. We had a couple of meetings with Joe Lynch to go over the project, then measurements were taken and we headed out to select our slabs. The final price was negotiated (and pricing was better than the other 3 companies we spoke with) and the installation scheduled. The crew came out as planned and about two-thirds of the way through the install, Sergiu came out to oversee the final work. He didn't like the way our gas range was installed/secured, so he had his crew correct the problem (certainly not their responsibility and he did it on his dime, not mine) before the final slab was installed. Even though they worked well into the evening, Sergiu's crew left our house in the same condition as they found it. The granite looks great and everyone who sees our kitchen comments on how it complements the kitchen and surrounding area. read more

Very nice work! My kitchen now looks great after having laminated countertops removed and stone installed. It looks beautiful.

I was extremely pleased with the granite install we had with Northwest Granite and tile. I did lots of research and their prices were the most reasonable by far. Joe, the sales person was great to work with. He met us down at Pental Granite and guided us through the selection process. We changed our minds several times and not once did we feel like they were annoyed in the least bit! The turnaround time was unbelievable. From the time we selected our granite was just over a week to install. The install process took less than a day. The templaters and installers were polite, professional, skilled and neat. I checked many references and even visited the home of one reference to check out their work. You will not be disappointed with NW Granite. read more

We had counter-tops installed in our kitchen. We dealth with the owner, Sergiu, directly. He came across as knowledgeable and fair. His quote was literally half of what Sears quoted and significantly less than Home Depot. We got to pick out the granite ourselves at a selection of warehouses which was nice. The service was very efficient, we went from picking out the granite at the warehouse to having it installed within the same week. The two men who installed the counter-tops took their time and were very detailed and made sure we were perfectly happy before they left. Overall I would recommend them highly. read more

We used NW Granite & Marble to redo our entire large house. We could not be more impressed with the overall experience, the owner Sergiu, and his employees. He spent all the time we needed to find the products we wanted, and we knew we were using up more of his time than most. He came to our home to give ideas on our remodel - no charge. He was friendly, polite, and knowledgeable. Their prices are better than anyone else. The measurement person, Slavik, is amazing and skilled. Thanks to him, all pieces fit like a glove when installed, with minor adjustments made on site as needed. The installation crew headed by Chad was fantastic and done so well. They all kept the planned appointments and were on time when they called that morning to advise of their exact arrival time. The project start-to-finish timeline was faster than originally promised. They even let us be there to plan the template layouts on the material so we had the patterns of stone where we wanted them. It was amazing that they even matched patterns from the backsplash to the counters so it all flows visually. When we naively almost made poor choices on materials, pattern placement or orientation they pointed out what would make the final result better rather than try to get us to take a lesser quality material or final result. We found it worked very well for us to manage our project: we personally picked out our kitchen granite slab at Daltile and had it marked to hold while we watched; we double checked square footage confirming their measurements were accurate; we were integral in the template planning process; and we elected to do our own demo and made sure our walls were square and plum so the backsplashes installed nicely against the walls. I think if you are your own best advocate and site manager most problems with contractors can be avoided. Most others we got bids from flaked out including the big box stores. read more

I worked with Northwest Granite for my kitchen, master bath, and family bath remodels, only because I'm on an extremely tight budget, and I was able to find enough materials in their remnant yard to use at a discount. Slavik and the kid I've dealt with at the shop are extremely nice and helpful. The installers know what they're doing. And if you can get remnants, which I did for my jobs, you can get a decent price... In my opinion, the owner, Sergiu, is the company's worst employee. I've never met a President of a company who seems to know so little about what is actually going on in the company, or who is worse at customer service and communication. For someone who state's he's graduated from Business School, he doesn't know anything about running a business. He makes commitments he doesn't follow through on, he doesn't return calls, doesn't respond to emails, doesn't know what is going on in the fabrication shop, can't set appointments with any reliability, and refuses to be forthcoming with information pertinent to the job. If my experience reflects their overall customer service, I really don't know why they are still in business. I truly would not recommend anyone use this company unless you have no timeline whatsoever to abide to, spend all your time at home so you can be there when they decide to show up, and have lots of time to ride them like a racehorse to keep them on track and make sure they follow through on their commitments. read more

Granite vanity top for powder room: Initially things got off to a bit of a rocky start with an appointment at their fabrication shop with no one to talk to. Worst experience ever!! Simple kitchen counter and bar top and bathroom counter in a 1000 ft condo. Selected a Marble slab, no seams needed due to small span. Fabricator cracked first slab, got a second slab and fabricator cut the sink in the wrong area. They broke the third kitchen counter slab taking it off the truck at installation, and the forth slab they cut two seams without telling us AND used the wrong adhesive so the seams are now yellow. Wish I would have looked at these reviews before hiring them for an on-site modification I needed in an existing counter top. The 1-star ratings that describe the lack of communication are spot on. We needed a cut into our existing granite counter top to fit a new cook top. There weren't many companies that did this work so got referred around. I got a quote from Angela and scheduled a date. Day of job: Got everything prepped on the day for the 9 am appointment and nothing. Called at 9:20 and Angela wasn't in but was assured that a message would go out to the install team and they would return my phone call. Nothing. Called back and got Angela and she wasn't sure what happened and would get an update. Nothing. Finally got word that when the team would be done they would head our way. Got a call 30 minutes later that they were stuck in traffic and wanted me to call the shop to reschedule with the owner, Sergiu, for the next day. He wanted to put off the job until the next afternoon but I thought I'd be "strong" and demand a morning appointment. He then said he'd try. Oh, and at some point during the day, Angela assured me that I would get a discount for my troubles since I had taken a day off work to get this done. Next day: Got a call first thing with some excuse about an existing job and problems with it so couldn't get anyone over until "later". Tried calling Sergiu and his vmail box was full so couldn't leave a message (this happened multiple time throughout the day). Got a text explaining there was another delay. See a pattern here? Finally around 4 pm, got a worker on site and he did a good job - thankfully. I told him that I wasn't sure what I owed because of the promised discount. Tech went to his truck and must have called Sergiu because I got a call from him and I wasn't getting a discount. He explained that Angela should have never scheduled my job in the first place as they don't do jobs for less than $500. How is this my fault? Why wasn't this told to me sooner? Does Sergiu not review the scheduled jobs and would have caught this fact? Wouldn't he agree that I was being jerked around and give me $10 or $25 off just to placate me? I wrote out the extorted check and handed it to the technician. Joined Yelp just today so I could write a review in hopes that I could help others avoid this company and to remember to check for reviews before hiring anyone! read more

I can't, in good conscience, recommend this company considering all we endured. To start, and similar to the other review, we also picked out a piece of granite only to be told a week later that it had been sold to someone else. That was just the beginning (I will try to keep this short). Next, with what was supposed to be a "one day install" turned into a 2 week+ nightmare. Two pieces of that granite that butted up to each other were COMPLETELY mismatched. Sergio, the owner, said that IF it was found to be his fault that he would replace it. Not sure how it could have been our fault! Prema, one of the designers at NW Granite, said that we had not used their "additional service" that allowed for us to be there when they drafted the template. HUH? Isn't that what we hired the professionals for? After much argument, Sergio replaced the piece many days later. However, that piece was not to our satisfaction and more arguing continued. Now we were being blamed for not requesting a "custom job" on top of the already "custom job". Again, HUH? Well, long story short, Sergio said he would only fix things if we paid an additional $1500 on top of the already $5500 we had already spent. We paid their extortion fee so that we could just get our kitchen back together since we had been eating out for over 2 weeks. With that said, I personally feel that NW Granite should not be in business. On a brighter note, the install guys were pleasant and professional. Perhaps they should be running the business. read more

Turnaround time in about a week for a bathroom vanity. Prices are really good and I love the selection. Honestly, I could spend hours browsing their selection of remnants just coming up with new ideas. Looks beautiful. read more

I was originally going to work with this group on a kitchen island install, I met with Sergiu and he seemed nice enough. However, after the initial templating visit, which was rescheduled and delayed, he almost doubled the initial quote I had received. It took over 1 week for him to update the quote and at that point with the huge increase I decided to go elsewhere, I found two places over 300$ cheaper than NW Granite and Marble. Not a satisfied customer. In general poor communication. read more

I really wanted to go with Northwest Granite & Marble after Angela came out for measurements and gave me a great estimate on a remnant. She told me she would email me samples. If you want to have a project on time and done correctly, this is not the place for you. Four of four pieces were not the correct size. We had to remodel new cabinets to accommodate their mistakes. Great experience working with Malea and Sergiu picking out a table top made of granite for a coffee table. The table is gorgeous.

Called to have someone come out to take a look at our kitchen to give an estimate for countertops. Spoke with Sarah and we agreed for her to come out five days later on Saturday at 9am. Saturday rolls around and no calls and our first no show. I called and the owner Sergiu said to come on down and he would personally help us on his day off. Annoyed, I agreed. We went down there and picked out some Quartz. Sergiu provided a quote I told him that I wanted to have someone come out and do measurements but due to the lack of professionalism I was uncertain about moving forward. I texted Sergiu on Monday to see if he could come out to get measurements. He said yes, he then texted later saying that they couldn't come and wanted to reschedule on Tuesday between 6-7. I said okay fine, Tuesday rolls around and I rush home from work to be home on time. Again. No one shows up. No calls, no messages, nothing. You would think that if I agree to give your business a good amount of money you would do everything you can to follow through on the sale. I texted Sergiu and told him that after being stood up twice and wasting my time that I wouldn't be using his company. I got no response. It's just sad. I'm glad I didn't go through with the sale and I'm glad I read the tons of other negative reviews. Don't waste your time because they don't care about you. read more

Update. After the initial communication issues they called me and apologized and offered a discount on my counter. With hesitation I agreed because it was a big enough discount to take the chance. They also said they would rush the install and get it done quick. This time they knocked it out. The installer came two days later on time and took a template, then the got the cut done and were back out in a few days on time again and installed the counter. The cutout for the two sinks is precise and the alcove vanity counter edges fit perfectly. So I am giving them a 4 star on recovering from the initial communication issues and their workmanship turned out great. read more

My clients made the journey to the Redmond shop and after spending a great deal of time, selected an adequately sized remnant of marble. The salesman, Martin, was most helpful, but should have consulted with the actual fabricators that our selection should not be sold for our vanity usage. The piece was seriously flawed, and after much too long a time to get it fabricated, it broke and is now unusable. I was told by Serge that I would receive a credit because they did not fabricate the small table top from the left-over piece and that the backsplash was broken even before they took if off the cart at the shop. Guess what? No credit, no contact.....no good! They also failed to drill the faucet holes. Their reasoning for not mounting the undermount sinks was that the material was too heavy. It was not, leaving that job for me had the vanity top survived, which it did not. I am really happy for those reviewers who got timely responses from the folks at NW Granite, but I tell you, DON'T COUNT ON IT! Many phone calls not returned and nobody that can answer questions and resolve issues is the standard here. Caveat emptor! I got scammed out of nearly $1,400. Please go elsewhere. There are many reputable stone fabricators around, you really don't need these guys. read more

Great selection of stone. We found the perfect remnant for a vanity at a very reasonable cost. Unfortunately the remnant got sold twice and wasn't available when we were ready to fabricate and install. The owner, Sergiu, was very concerned with making us happy. He worked with us to find a replacement piece at a greater cost to him, and got it installed in the original time frame. Not a perfect interaction, but we are happy with the end results and had a positive experience. Nice to work with a company that takes care of their customers. read more
