I first found IRC Kitchen & Baths in the summer of 2023 while searching for a contractor to remodel our outdated, second floor hallway bathroom. Besides a "face-lift", I wanted to remove an old jet-stream tub and replace it with a shower and upright washer/dryer. After meeting with 2 other contractors, I chose David Hoblea. Although not the lowest bid I received, what I liked most about David was his obvious attention to and interest in my project. His pricing is fair and excellent value for the money. The scope and process of each project is itemized clearly and when an unexpected issue arises, David problem solves with me to clearly define work order options to resolve it within my best interests. David is the first contractor of many I have worked with, to finish a proposed project on time and within his initially proposed budget! Everyone I worked with within the IRC team - David, Sylvestru, Jose, Marlon, have consistently provided a quality of work and overall experience that meets and exceeds my expectations. This includes a comprehensive list of subcontractors and expert service and design contacts. Everyone has been courteous, professional, and respectful of myself and my property and are friendly and comfortable to have in my home. They are highly skilled, knowledgeable about their professions and passionately attentive to detail. The IRC crew communicate well within their team and are responsive to phone calls, texts or emails in a timely manner. David was professional, communicative, and skilled from day 1. I hired IRC for a full kitchen remodel in my condo and could not be happier with the results. Although I had preliminary design drawings from an earlier hire (which helped make the bidding process smoother and more accurate), after starting work, David brought on a designer he frequently works with to shepherd my project through competition. The value Suzy added to the finished product was immeasurable. Whether it was the precise construction drawings she produced or her bringing dozens (if not hundreds) of pounds worth of material samples to my home, she was a joy to work with. David's workers were polite, clean, and fast. They were even willing to be around during appliance delivery windows that would have otherwise meant me needing to take time off work. What impressed me most about David was his communication. He touched base for every unforseen condition or design change, and helped walk me through the options in detail. He was very transparent with costs, and very reasonable with extras (which, I'll be honest, were mostly due to my expensive tastes!). I've had many projects and remodeling done in the last 5 years but I have never felt fully satisfied with the contractor or the job done. David did an outstanding job. Emanuel and his crew were great - professional, punctual, and most importantly, did beautiful work. We had a room in our basement re-finished after waterproofing, as well as a rickety staircase that led to the basement rebuilt. The job included cement tile, new baseboards and sheetrock, and hardwood floor on the stairs. The guys were able to widen the stairs and add a few inches of headroom, which was a feat of physical magic. I no longer hit my head when carrying a laundry basket up. Woo! From the start, David and his crew did an excellent job. Firstly, we have had a few major jobs done in our house, including another bathroom remodel, kitchen, and family room remodel. All previous experiences were average at best- it was either poor communication, not showing up on time, missing something or doing something wrong, or in one case, not finishing the job and never coming back after they said they would. After all of this, we have been very leery of hiring contractors for another job. Poor communication and good working ethics seem to be a common problem in this industry. Why is it so hard to find someone who will do the job right, communicate with you as you go along, and finish on time for a reasonable price? Well, IRC Tile did all of that and more. We were always contacted so that we knew when to expect the guys who were working on that day. They were always checking in with us to confirm details before they did the work, David was regularly checking in to see how it was going, did we have questions, concerns, etc. The guys who were working (Silvester, Alex) were always timely, polite, communicative, hard-working, and did their best to keep the place clean at the end of each day. Another big plus was that we negotiated the services of an interior designer into the bid. Working with Suzy was wonderful as well and made the process go smoothly. While we had received another bid which was lower, David's prices are reasonable and good value considering the quality of the work and the high standards to which this business operates. He asked for our input at appropriate points to include our preferences in the details and patiently answered our questions. He provided a fair-priced estimate and finished on budget. Issues always crop up in older homes, like water damage to flooring. He fixed these without hassle. It's been several years since he completed our bathroom remodel, and we have no problems to report. I contrast our experience with a neighbor who used a more expensive contractor that had to return later to fix problems arising from the remodel. Emanuel and his team did such a fantastic job installing our cement tiles in my company's surgical suite that I just had to write a review for them. The attention to detail they provided was exactly what we were looking for as our buildings aesthetic appeal is very important to us. He went above and beyond to accommodate our schedule as we had to coordinate with the service engineers who would move our lasers out of the room safely. We hired IRC Tile to renovate our full guest bathroom and remodel the stall shower in the master bathroom. David Hoblea, the owner, was so easy to work with. He communicated very well. My husband and I were always kept in the loop. Suzanne was so helpful. She helped me pick out tile, flooring, countertop, sinks, faucets and shower heads. She made it very easy. She suggested things I had not thought of and the finished product was fantastic. It took us about 3 hours to pick out the plumbing, tile, sinks and shower door. We replaced the countertop in the guest bath with granite, which was very pretty. They installed niches in both showers, which really come in handy. They replaced the linoleum floor in the guest bath with tile. I cannot say enough about Sylvester and Igor. They really did top-notch work. They were very respectful of the fact that I work out of the house, and did not interrupt me too much. They put down plastic so that the rugs and walkways did not get dirty. They always cleaned up after themselves. The entire process was a lot smoother than I expected. Their time estimates were spot on.
