The project took about 14 days and a bit of a wait to get the shower door installed which had to be custom ordered because the shower has a non standard configuration. Alex and his crew did SUCH an amazing job on our bathroom remodel in Summer 2024. Alex was a true delight to work with - responsive, cares deeply about his work, flexible with changes, and works very hard to make sure you are satisfied. I worked with a design team that recommended Alex when our prior contractor tripled their bid on the work (even though the scope had not changed), and I would absolutely recommend Alex to others for work on any type of remodel. His team is extremely professional and was very respectful of our home. Any unexpected surprise in the job Alex handled with grace and a positive attitude. He was just a delight to ask opinions of as the job progressed because he was so knowledgeable - what he thought worked best where, how the tile would look best, placement of fixtures. We also had three structural changes which he did expertly (and completely owned the permit process!) - we relocated a window, installed a picture window in the shower, and added a skylight. He is extremely experienced and found solutions to things that were just an idea for me (e.g. Alex - can you make the light go on when I walk in the bathroom, but only at nighttime? He did it! Alex can you replace this tiny, tiny strip of backsplash tile without removing the entire mirror? He did it!). There was one instance where a rain shower head was too close to the wall and I was dreading telling Alex that I think we needed to move it because it was quite a bit of work, but when I told him he was so understanding about it and assured me he would fix it and get it the way I wanted it. And he absolutely did - quickly too! He makes sure everything is done correctly. He was even nice to our crazy rescue pitbull who is still deciding if she likes humans. His bid didn't change once the work was completed, and the few extra add-ons that came up during the remodel (at my request) he priced very fairly for the additional work. We ended up with a jaw-dropping bathroom that all our friends and family are coveting and want to house sit for us now to experience it. I love the unique look, and it's so nice that my own shower is the best shower I've ever taken. For my project, Alex and his team redid my living area flooring, counters, backsplash, fireplace tile surround, painted the walls/ceiling/cabinets, and totally re-did two of my bathrooms (including whirlpool install). I had requested three or four quotes and post tilers either thought it was too small of a job or were frustrated that I had picked a tile that would require some extra hours and work. My 90 year-old mother was finding it difficult to get in and out of her bathtub and wanted to have it taken out and replaced with a shower. We looked at shower surrounds, but the house had a window in the middle of the wall. We asked for several estimates to remove the tub, create a tiled shower, and replace vanity and flooring on the 68 year old home. Alex gave us a very fair estimate and included options to save money, as well as upgrades. He started work within a few days and finished within 9 days, doing nearly all the work himself. There were a few issues- no insulation in the outside wall, old pipes in the vanity, an extension needed on the drain, but he was able to handle it all, with only a bit of help from a plumber he called in. The best part is that my mother did not want to leave her home during the construction, and there is only one bathroom, so he worked around leaving the toilet installed until the last minute, (and taking strategic breaks for her to use the facilities). He couldn't have been more accomodating! The quality of his work is top-notch, and he was extremely knowledgable in the latest techniques to make everything waterproof, and safe for my mother. He worked long hours to get everything done, and communciation was excellent. The budget came in a little above the estimate, but with the extra work he had to do on the aging house, it was reasonable, and he kept us updated throughout. He is currently working on my daughter's home, and if we can talk him into traveling, we will ask him to come down to our home to work on our kitchen!
