He also has aggressive tone when dealing with conflicts. During the process he made the mistake on picking the paint with wrong sheen and tried to push blame on us. He incorrectly chose Satin sheen instead of semi-gloss and never told us even after we showed him what kind of gloss we are looking for. Paint job finish is lower than average; we could see brush strokes, thick lines. He made another mistake to pick up wrong quartz and this resulted in delays. When installing countertops, we agreed on where to put seam and make sure quartz lines should match slightly; he did exactly the opposite. It was horrible. Lines were going totally opposite. We had to fight with him to fix this and again resulted in delays. Anytime you bring up these issues with him, he will use aggressive tone and try to put it on us. Many times during the project, he threatened to leave everything and asked us to find another contractor. It was quite stressful to say the least. So, steer away and find another contractor even if you have to pay more.

He guided me through the process of selecting new floors, appliances, fixtures, and a completely new HVAC system. Simon's subcontractors were all very friendly and professional. It appears that he is very careful in who he hires for his remodels. All aspects of their work met my approval in quality. Simon was one of two contractors who offered bids within our budget. 2) Simon spent a full hour exploring the space and asking questions. All other bids completed only a cursory look of the space, and failed to notice details that needed consideration. Simon pointed out a lot of things that were important for us to understand before moving forward with the project. Simon also said that estimate would take a couple of days to fine tune (versus other contractors who seemed to just throw out a number). 3) Simon immediately came across as a person with integrity and good communication skills. Our experience with Simon and his team: 1) Impeccable communication throughout the process. No leaving us in the dark, and always responsive to our questions. Simon responds to texts and emails right away. 2) Consistent work schedule. Once the project started, his team was at the house for 10 hours daily, 5 to 6 days per week. No disappearing acts. 3) Excellent team - Incredibly skilled with attention to detail. The team is also polite and conscientious. 4) Design skills - Rather than hire a separate designer, Simon and his team were meticulous in making sure the design details and colors were aligned with our 1904 house architecture. 6) Beautiful results -- We now have a renovated, upscale master bathroom that even has a custom vanity. The guest bathroom was one of two remaining areas in the house that have not been remodeled. Kitchen being the other room! I didn't take any pics of the original bathroom, but you can imagine a lot of ugly yellow-ish and white surfaces. The flooring was some single piece yellow vinyl. Not that the house was cheaply made, but the original materials were mostly "meh", with a lot of yellow hues. Anyway, I had a few requirements from DHC on what the new bathroom needed: 1 - More warm colors. 2 - No vinyls or linoleums. Only tiles and wood. 3 - Tub walls needed to be tiles, no plastic. 3 - Prefer black colored trims. Render #1 - Using shower curtains. Render #2 - Using sliding glass doors. We picked #2. Unfortunately, the glass doors are not yet done at the time of this review, so nothing to show yet. If I was to guess, it'd probably end up looking a lot like in the render, but that's pretty much how much we liked the end result. Communication was great, we got offline end-of-day updates just about every day. Every effort was made by the contractors to localize their work and keep things as tidy as possible. In the end, we got exactly what we wanted. The final result looked exactly like in the render, with expected deviations based on adjustments that we made during construction. These guys are the real deal!

Disappointing experience with their scheduling process…read more I had been seeing their ads on Facebook and reached out for an estimate to build a deck. During the initial call, I explained that we were ready to move forward soon, assuming we could agree on pricing. I also casually mentioned that my husband was currently on a work trip and that we would make a final decision within about a week. The scheduler responded by asking if we could postpone the estimate until all "homeowners" were available at home because there would otherwise be too much back-and-forth. I found this to be an odd requirement for a simple estimate appointment and said so. The response was that there would be "a lot of back and forth." That explanation didn't sit well with me. For a project worth tens of thousands of dollars, it felt unreasonable to suggest that an initial estimate couldn't proceed because one spouse was away. Whether intentional or not, the interaction came across as dismissive and left me feeling like they were unwilling to work with me directly during the early stages of the process. At that point, I asked them to end the call and not contact me again.

He was in awe of their work. Everything was done to perfection. We had over 6 bids for bathrooms ( total redo) and their prices were amazing for the work they did! They listened to our concerns, came up with a plan. We could not be happier! Besides bathrooms, we were going to have them do our flooring- carpet to LV. Third floor condo - we ordered all, they bought everything up three flights of steps ( 950 square feet) - after carpet was up they noted flooring was off, and LV was not an option unless floor floated. We opted for carpet. They hauled all of the LV back down three flights. Zero complaints. Happy to do whatever was in our best interest! When we thanked them for their great work throughout, their response was always " we thank you. We are grateful for the work!"
