I love this store and the people....oh ya, and the tile. I bought tile for my remodel/addition and every person was super helpful, friendly, and shared their knowledge freely. I made several trips/appointments and primarily worked with Billie. She is absolutely phenomenal and helped me pick out tile, has awesome taste and is actually a tile layer herself so she can advise you from not only a design perspective, but also from the tile layer's which is very helpful. I owe her big time. Tile selection is huge, and it's all good, interesting stuff. I recommend making an appointment ahead of time if you're shopping as the reps can get booked up and they get pretty busy. I tell everyone about this store. read more

Disappointed. I've been coming here for probably decades now. When it used to be Import Tile. Every time you go in they are refurbishing something. It's like the Winchester House. Have purchased a LOT of tile and materials both as a homeowner and as a contractor. But the last visit was so depressing. They are refurbishing again of course. But here's the problem. With the exception of the old small room up front, NOTHING has prices on it. It is too overwhelming and too crazy to grab 10 heavy tile panels, walk up front, get someone's attention and ask for prices only to find out it's some ridiculous $40 a sq ft. When I walked in, we were eyeballed by some employee with one of the weirdest stares I've ever seen. Looked at us like we were from another planet (we're pretty normal really). Never saw that guy again until we left and there he was again. Just staring at us and our every move. If we moved a little one direction, his gaze followed us. Creepy as can be. Sad because this place used to be my #1 go-to place. Now it's gone all "high-end, price doesn't matter". That and everything seems to be special order. The contractors section in the warehouse seems to be gone. It is just filled with granite. Granite places are a dime a dozen these days. Every 5 miles is a granite place. Have used the Tile Shop near the Albany border several times and it is consistent. Will have to make that the new place. Unlikely to step foot in this place again. Not a good experience. read more

I have had many positive experiences at All Natural Stone over the last few decades. This includes when this store used to be called Import Tile. I was recently helped by Cameron T. and Tom L. and they were both extremely helpful. I have purchased tile for my home and my residential rental property during this time, including floor tile, backsplash tile and countertop tile. The customer service here is excellent and the products are high quality. read more

Had a great experience here looking for honed carrara marble tile for our guest bath remodel. Tom helped us find exactly what we needed and it was a perfect match to the existing tile we had. Thanks Tom! read more

Love that I was able to schedule time with someone who was knowledgeable and helpful in understanding my style and preferences. Ultimately led to some really nice design choices. I would come back. read more

This place is slow as hell. Tom was great here for years and he's the first person I look for. How is it that it takes 30 mins to buy something off the contractors desk? While they had no customers? Avoid this place, nice and good customer service is two different things. If you come here, you better hope you have time to burn read more

Amazing selection of granite and metals counter tops. These are one of a kind slabs and if you're looking for something unique, it's here.

I have been working with All Natural Stone for many years for our client projects and their knowledge and expertise is truly outstanding. I love having them as a partner in in our design process. They have such a wide variety of materials. Their inventory is constantly being refreshed. They keep up with the latest offerings and trends. Brigette's attention to detail and follow up is exceptional. I can always count on Juan to find that obscure material that is the perfect finishing touch. My clients and I love All Natural Stone! read more

Excellent service Great inventory of products for all your flooring needs. They have the most beautiful tiles! I'll definitely be back for my next project. Thank you! read more

Excellent place for tile. A great selection, friendly and helpful staff. This is true even for small orders. I only needed two 16x20 tiles, they had a selection of 20x20s. A hard to find size. They let me use their tile saw to cut them down, with no charge. Lesson and loaner goggles included. Ain't gonna happen at the megabox stores, which didn't have the size to begin with. Definitely would put them at the top of the list. Good to find this kind of service. read more

Made an appointment only to be dumped in a room alone with no guidance or feedback on our project. After 15 minutes we came back to the front and they were overrun with other people. Clearly have more business than they can handle right now. Appointments should receive one/on-one attention otherwise what's the point? read more

This place is fantastic! They have soooo many gorgeous tiles it will make your head spin. We were helped by a wonderful lady named Marty who was incredibly helpful ! We were in a pickle with getting tiles fast and she was awesome! This store is a must go to and their customer service was beyond fantastic! We are so happy we stopped by here to make our tile purchase. Kaveh and Liza thank you Marty ;-) read more

Summary: good selection, but don't rely on the store for advice on how to use the stone and/or to mitigate any issues. Pros: good selection of stone, friendly staff, knowledgeable about aesthetics Cons: not knowledgeable about how to use the stone, e.g., what stone can go on the floor, what color grout to use, whether stone is honed or not. We had good experience in getting stone that we liked for both our baths. Worked well in one bathroom, but in the other bathroom stone was not honed even though it was sold as honed. The stone got dirty v quickly in spite of being sealed multiple times, and the store blamed us for maintenance rather than at least acknowledge the fact that the stoned was not honed and help us fix it. Also, bad advice on using darker grout with the stone -- the grout did not wipe clean since the stone was porous and not honed, and our contractor had to get a cleaning company to clean it out thus delaying the project. read more

Customer service and support is excellent. I work with Marisela and she always goes the extra mile. They have an extensive tile selection. I have been a customer for over 10 years and keep coming back for all my projects. read more

People here go out of their way to help you. Marti patiently and cheerfully helped me pick out tile for a new bathroom on two different days; both days other associates asked if I needed help, too. One day new tile had just arrived and a friendly employee immediately cut and labeled samples for me so I could take them home. That ended up being the tile we purchased. Very professional place, and it's great they have so much tile in stock. We had a very short timeline. read more

I made an appointment with Paolo, and he was fantastic! He listened to me and heard the style and budget that I had, and he helped me pick beautiful tile for my bathroom and kitchen remodel. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience at All Natural Stone, and it's all thanks to Angel (she definitely lives up to her name!). My husband and I are doing a big remodel on our home and couldn't find anything we loved for our kitchen countertops, and two bathrooms. I showed Angel some pictures I found online and she immediately showed us exactly what we were looking for. She had amazing recommendations and was so knowledgable. I've been searching for months, and with Angel's help, we literally picked out tile/marble flooring and walls for both bathrooms, and kitchen/island countertops in less than an hour. She is clearly an expert in her field, and really made the process as smooth as possible for us. I highly recommend going to this place, and specifically working with Angel! read more

I looked quite a few places before finding a piece of granite to use in my new kitchen "Natural" has an extensive inventory of tile and giant slabs of countertop stone; granite, marble and compositions. The personnel is knowledgeable and took me to the granite colors we are using right away. We walked the warehouse and she pointed out every possible choice I might use. Thank you Natural Stone. I found one immediately in 1/2 hr. Max. read more

Amazing selection of tile at all price points with the prices clearly listed on the samples. Excellent service soon as we walk in the door, including free coffee and donuts on Saturday! We were given a lots of great ideas by the sales person Marty. This is probably the best tile store I've been to in the bay area. read more

Terrible costumer service. If you're a young, Black person, I'd advise you to take your business elsewhere. As other reviews have stated, the staff are no help, have no intention of helping, and aren't knowledgeable. In fact, they just might turn you away after barely acknowledging you as they did me. I'm on the last leg of a home renovation and All Natural Stone has been the worst vendor yet. read more

If you want to be lectured at, go here. Tile selection is good, staff was off-putting. We were the among the very few customers when they opened on a sat morning. I had a list of tiles i wanted to compare prices on and instead i got condescention. Yes, i know there are warehouses full of tile, and football fields full of tiles. No i dont want to check prices on that many. Or maybe i want architectural, designy tiles...we dont have those. The vibe of " don't bother me" is very strong. I"ll stick with global tile on arkansas in potrero hill. You should too. Great tile and great service, no attitude except, "may i help you?" read more

Nothing "Meh" about this store. There were things I loved and things that really annoyed me. Project: I did one large bathroom project. This involved 3 visits to the store. The finished product is something I'm very happy with. Ambiance: I was surprised by how much I enjoyed just walking around the store and enjoying the beautiful collection of tile. I was first there on a Saturday morning and there was a notable level of chaos at the very busy store. The store is very close to the freeway, so driving there is pretty easy. Customer Service: I got very good quality, knowledgeably customer service after a significant wait on that first visit where everything I was interested in was talked over, priced and inventory checked. Later trips to the store yielded wildly different levels of customer service. The only woman at the customer service desk next visit was clearly on the phone with her BF and did not engage me or even ask me to wait a minute, even though I was the only one there. The guy who helped me later on clearly tried to be helpful but needed some updated computer training. Restocking Fee (mini-rant): One of my major dings comes from the fact that they told me I could return extra tile that didn't get used for the project, so long as it was in pristine condition. The otherwise excellent tile installer that they recommended over estimated the quantity needed, so I had a couple of extra boxes of tiles at the end of the project. What was not clearly spelled out was that they have a 20% restocking fee. It's a pet peeve. It really that much money, but the idea that I have to pay them 1/5 the value of tile they sold me only days ago for 5 minutes of their time to drive it back to their storage bay just rubs me the wrong way customer service-wise. The surprise factor qualified this as a solid con on this point.. Overall: Overall I'm thrilled with the final product made with their tiles. I haven't seen exactly what I got anywhere else I've been to. If I'd wanted a simpler product, perhaps It wouldn't be worth a longer drive. The customer service ranged from Excellent and highly skilled to terrible and/or incompetent in just 3 visits. One Bit of Advice: Don't ever lose the original bid they give you. It has a number on that piece of paper and the less skilled staff can't seem to help you with anything with our that number. I started out wanting one thing and my final project looked a little different, so I needed to refer to that number multiple times and some staff seemed to be unable to help me without it. read more

Pros: Relatively competitive prices for basics like subway tiles. Conveniently located and the warehouse staff are really great. Cons: Maybe it's because the cater to the Berkeley boomer crowd, but they seem to purposefully ignore you if you don't seem like a rich middle aged (and probably non-white) person. The stock is generally dated. I had to end up ordering more on trend tiles elsewhere. The ordering process is byzantine and it takes forever to buy something. You have to flag down the sales people who are ignoring you, have them create your order, go line up at another counter to pay and then pull your car/truck around to pick up yet at another location. read more

We buy from here often for business and our home. The selection is great, but Tom makes it worth the drive from Monterey. We wouldn't come here if it wasn't for him....we always thought that, but now we know it because the last 2 times we'd been in there, we were helped by other people, and it wasn't the same. Yesterday another guy was rushing us to figure out our order for our kitchen. I'm sorry but you just don't rush someone planning a fantastic backsplash for their dream kitchen. He put us in a sour mood. So, if you find Tom, hold on to him. He is really helpful, and has great ideas if you're confused on something. Advice: If you can help it, go during the week when mostly contractors are there. On the weekends it is so busy and packed full of browsers and their babies. read more

I didn't actually buy my tile from here because I happened to find something else that I liked better at DJ Mehler, but I had a great experience regardless. I was looking for tile for my bathroom floor and shower wall. I had a general idea of what I wanted, but I was open to suggestions. Jason helped me and I really do mean helped. I told him what look I was going for and he showed me a wide range of options. He also brought out samples and helped me hold up floor samples with the wall samples. And they let you take full size samples, which was really helpful. In addition to the helpful service, the showroom is fantastic. Lots of light. They have a lot of mini faux bathrooms set up, which is always helpful. And they also have lots of tile actually tiled on the wall - not just a single piece of tile. And on the floors. It was really easy to imagine how a whole bathroom would look with almost every piece of tile they have. Great showroom. One of the best I saw. read more

What can you find here you won't find in Home Depot? A much larger selection, better prices, and friendly, helpful, personal service. If you're planning to remodel your kitchen or bath and have no idea which direction to go, coming here will get your creative juices flowing and give you more ideas than you could use in a lifetime. They specialize in slate, limestone and travertine flooring, Italian tiles, Mexican pavers, tumbled marble, and handpainted stoneware, and are affilliated with two studios that create custom murals and decorative tiles. Their showroom features sample installations that allow you to see how your Alhambra-inspired bath or Old Mexico-style kitchen will look once it's completed. Whatever your ultimate choice, these tiles aren't merely fantastic, they're fabulous. read more

Beautiful showroom and as others have mentioned, conveniently located. However, be wary, they have a hefty 30% restocking fee and returns must be completed in 60 days of purchase. This was my first bathroom remodel and the salesman oversold me on tile and the guy loading the tile into my car was not careful and more than a few pieces broke as several boxes of the italian subway tile were already opened. read more

THIS STORE DISPLAYS TILE IT CAN'T GET. But that won't stop them from taking your deposit and misleading you for months. Most tile stores don't stock everything that is on display and need to 'special order' it from vendor warehouses. The vendors often change their product lines, so its critical for a store to keep its displays updated and their salespeople vigilant. Unfortunately Import Tile can't be bothered with that kind of professionalism. I picked a tile from a large wall display and plunked down over $600 in a non-refundable deposit. 3 weeks go by and I get a call from my salesperson telling me the item is 'delayed'. 3 more and I get another call telling me the tile won't arrive for another 8 weeks. I got suspicious that my salesperson wasn't processing my order correctly, so I left a voicemail for the owner asking him to explain why it would take nearly 4 months for delivery. He left me a slurry message back telling me that the vendor had actually discontinued the tile (IT WAS NEVER AVAILABLE AND WOULD NEVER BE COMING) and he 'didn't know why it was still display in his store'. He barely apologized for delaying my remodel several months and told me that he was headed on vacation, so if I needed to complain to someone I should call my misleading salesperson. Classy guy. The salesperson blamed the vendor, but seemed reluctant to do much else. The vendor had a similar but more expensive tile in stock that could be substituted and I asked him to negotiate a discount considering the hassle I had been put through. Nope. Nothing. I doubt he even tried to leverage his store's buying power to help me out. He simply offered to cancel my order and return the hefty deposit they had sat on for over two months. Sure the selection here is good, but don't put down a deposit until the salesperson checks that he can actually get it from the vendor. Because they may not be able to get it - really don't care if they can't - and won't show the slightest integrity if problems arise. read more

"GOOD MORNING!!!! WELCOME!" I was greeted by this booming announcement as I walked into the store on Saturday morning. It actually startled me as I don't think I've ever been welcomed this warmly before. Thus started off a short -but fantastic- first-time experience with Import Tile. Maricela (the staff who had greeted me) was amazing! I had found some tile I wanted at Home Depot but they don't keep much in stock so you have to order it and wait 10-15 days for it to be delivered. I had procrastinated on this bathroom project and needed the tile in less than a week. I showed Maricela a picture of the tile I had picked out.She showed me some tile that was comparable, offered some advice, and 10 minutes later, I was driving away with my tile. The price was $2 more per square foot than Home Depot but it was what I was looking for and best of all, IN STOCK!!! Maricela was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful!! P.S. They have a small parking section on the side of the store so I got lucky in snagging one of these spots. I can see how parking can be challenging. When you pick up your tile, you drive around to the back and they will load it into your car. So no worries, even if you have to park far away. read more

Import Tile has a great selection of tile for reasonable prices. Their tile is a lot nicer than the stuff at discount tile stores and their prices are only a bit more. I thought it was worth the extra money. Their staff is also very helpful. I had a bunch of basic questions, and they answered all my questions patiently. They spent a lot of time with me to make sure that I left the store with my optimal choice of tile. This is definitely something that you can't get at a big-box store. I do suggest you go on the weekday if possible though since the weekends get really busy. read more

They've got a great selection, but meager customer service. I either look too young to want to buy tile or they could tell I'm a student. Either way, I like their prices and they've got a sale warehouse out back. Go on a day that won't be busy, meaning no weekends. read more

To start, the selection and prices here are great. Lots of options, and fair prices. Tom was very helpful and insightful while helping finalize the tile and measurements for my bathroom project. There was one style of tile that was not in stock, and though it was a somewhat difficult/annoying process to get the tile from another one of their vendors, everyone at Import Tile was extremely helpful, and worked hard to make sure I got what I needed/ordered. To me customer service can make or break a business. Due to the great service Tom and the team gave me I will definitely be back to Import Tile when it's time for my next project. read more

Maricela was a dream- she spent lots of time with us, advising us on several options. Her ideas were both practical and aesthetic. It was wonderful to have an opinion from someone who has seen so many combinations. Maricela also worked with our tile installer to make sure that the ordering went right. We were delighted with the results and couldn't be happier with the fair pricing and service we received. read more

So many choices. So many different types of tiles. So many different shades of the same color. So many textures. So many sizes of said tile. Seriously, this place is overwhelming. But after browsing for about an hour, we did decide on what we want to use for our upcoming bathroom tile. We may not buy it from Import Tile Company, but they certainly gave us the ideas. We've also worked with them when doing a kitchen remodel a few years ago, and they gave us great service and advice. Highly recommend them for any tile or granite needs. read more

Friendly and helpful from the minute I walked in the place. A super friendly receptionist(?) greeted me and took a quick assessment of what I was up to and immediately got me a salesperson. Of course timing may be everything and maybe sometimes it's so busy you have to wait, but this was mid-day on a Saturday. Jerry, the salesperson who helped me, was great. Very helpful, obviously experienced, understood budget restrictions, general aesthetics right off the bat and made some great recommendations on tile combinations. Had ideas on how to spruce up design even. Didn't spend endless hours looking at random stuff. Walked away with a samples (deposit required) to look at in home. He also gave me recommendations on possible installers, which is nice. I found prices generally reasonable for quality. I'm reserving a 5th star in the event I do order from them and all goes well - and if not, I'll restar accordingly, but definitely go here if you are doing a remodel job that may need tile. Lots of installed examples, lots on display. I've gone to a lot of the local tile places now, and definitely the range of styles and prices make this worth a look. read more

Doing a kitchen remodel requires three things: good materials, good prices, and good people. After looking all over the Bay Area, my wife and I found Import Tile. They had what we needed in all departments. They have a huge selection of tiles from all over the world clearly presented in their showroom. Their tiles were affordably priced and mostly available for immediate pick up. The staff was the main thing though -- they were really helpful. When I consulted with Jerry, he talked us out of some choices that would have been mistakes. Tom expedited our order so it was easy. Bill recommended a guy to install who did a fine job. We ended up getting a great countertop that everyone loves. read more
