But I think he deserves a shout-out for the BEAUTIFUL job he did. He had to remove many baseboards and thresholds, but when he replaced them, he really went the extra yard, not only carefully caulking the baseboards when he put them back, but touching up the paint, filling the nail holes and painting over them, so everything looked perfect. And he even cleaned the thresholds so they looked even better than before. I'd give them more stars if I could.

We got in touch with Dale on a friend's recommendation, and he immediately stood out among the floor contractors we were considering: he was prompt with communication and came by quickly to provide a very reasonable estimate; was easy to work with; clearly explained the work he was recommending and why; and was happy to refer us to someone who could handle services Dale doesn't do (i.e. installing flooring where an HVAC vent was being removed). She was so patient, knowledgable and invested (excited even!) about my project. She thought through a bunch of options with me and even had her design team mock up renderings so I could visualize the installed tile. There was a 6-8 week lead time on the tile but it was worth the wait. She also introduced me to the Fireclay installation team and they ended up doing the tile installation for our whole house (including rooms that did not utilize Fireclay brand tiles). The installation team was professional, thorough, communicative and friendly. They consulted me about every preference and option and didn't do anything without my enthusiastic approval. We used a lot of antique tiles and uneven natural stones and they installed it all with care and precision. They were truly some of my favorite subcontractors of our whole project! Our kids' bathroom still isn't done...still waiting on cabinetry and paint but the tile is perfect and I was excited to post this review. Will try to add pics later :)

For years I had a vision of tiling the risers of the front steps of my house, and Cal Tile made my dream come true. I already had the tiles, but they helped me pick the right rims to protect the tiles and the precise grout color to match my house paint. They were easy to communicate with, they really know their stuff, and the team that did the installation - Lulu and Heber and their team - were very professional, skilled and explained exactly what they were doing each step of the way. The outcome is beyond my expectations! I love it, and I get wonderful comments from neighbors, friends and people walking by. I would highly recommend using Cal Tile for your tiling projects!

I sent dimensions and a site image and was able to get a quote without a site visit. Our installer was very detail oriented and discovered our wall was not completely flush, which meant that the tile at the top of the wall would be a slightly different width than the one at the bottom. We discussed different strategies for approaching this problem. The zellige we received was also highly variable in quality and color. I asked our installer to pick out the tile in the best condition since we had ordered 10-20% extras and were very happy with the results.

We were looking to update our fireplace and entry way tile as a kick off to our next remodeling…read morephase - we were hoping to go from ugly brown tiles to a nicer marbled white herringbone tiles. My partner and I even made mock ups of the design we wanted to achieve. Noe was responsive over text when taking down our requirements, giving quotes, and estimating how much material we should purchase which we purchased on our own (though we might have over purchased our material by 20%, I'd much rather have extra than not enough!). Noe handled the tile and grout pick up when it was ready for installation day, and took care of the misc material purchases (finishing metal edge trim, tileset/cement, etc). Adrian and Luis are fantastic installers. Adrian's communication was really top notch (he kept us informed and updated often) and ran through options and recommended solutions when we encountered a bit of a snag with our subfloor and evened it out for us (we wanted to elongate and cut the corners of our rectangular entry way tile). Luis' tile work also really great. His cuts were clean, tiles were even/level, spacing of the grout lines were pretty even as well. I've had tile work done through a general contractor before (they had some rough cuts and some pretty bad tile lippage leading to uneven surfaces) - their quality is nothing compared to Luis' work, our entry way and fireplace with the herringbone pattern looks so good and it matched our mock ups very closely - they really brought our vision to reality! The three of them Noe, Adrian, and Luis really do live up to their company name as Tile Experts and they are very competitive with their pricing. You can check out the before and after photos (just ignore the ugly carpet in the pictures, we have not replaced it yet!) We are really happy and impressed with the work they did for us and would go back to them for any future tile work.
