Horrible customer service. They are simply overwhelmed with the good fortune of having space for a lanyard. They say that i "don't need an appointment" even though i explicitly said that i had put a several slabs into the "My Project" folder on their website. "Just come on in." So I came in and was basically scolded by the lady that I "should have come on a weekday" and that "ugh." On and on and on.... I tried to tell her that her own colleague told me to come in and she just huffed .... I mean, c'mon. You know.... I actually had prepared a list of things I wanted to see straight off of their website, and she was overtly annoyed (!!) that I had some many things. Ummm.... Newsflash: This is an industry for customers who are about to drop a pretty penny on your goods and keep you employed--be nice to them--esp if they are prepared and haven't even had a chance to be high maintenance yet. Yes, they have a large selection but it's probably good to go there, get ideas and then spend your time and money elsewhere with someone who actually values it. Unbelievable. The front desk lady was nice, their bathroom is clean, and they have snacks. That's why they get 1 star. read more

IRG is like stepping into a museum of nature's jewelry. In some ways it's hard to believe these works of art are even for sale. As someone who has been there 4 times, I can say that the beauty is sometimes overwhelming and even confusing. And that's where their amazing team comes in. Everyone I met there was SO helpful (not just friendly, although they were both). Especially on Saturdays which are pretty busy, I was relieved that someone was always there to answer questions or move stone. Dorothy is such a pro: a former fabricator who truly knows how to advise. She spent a ton of time with me and never seemed to get annoyed with the fact I wasn't sure what I was looking for. Lex is speedy: she knows the inventory like a giant game of memory and is fantastic at pattern recognition based on what I liked, which guided me to the perfect choice. IRG is amazing! Not only is the variety of gorgeous stones incredible, but the sales people are fantastic! I initially called and spoke with Dorothy and she put a hold on a specific stone for me that she thought may work. Dorothy was very kind and helpful. I knew she would not be there the following day when I was going to come, but she said another sales person could help me locate the stone. Then came Gypsy! Amazing Gypsy! I arrived and she was so helpful and we had the hardest time locating the stone slab that was on hold for us! ...but SHE FOUND IT! Not only did she find it but the guys brought the forklift thing and hung the huge slab out in the air for me. This is usually not done on a Saturday! ...it wasn't the one for our kitchen so she continued helping us look and got the guys to bring out a few more of our favs with the fork lift! We are very happy. First of all, the selection is fantastic, and the pricing is very fair. We have been into the IRG Sacramento Location, multiple times....shopping, questioning, deciding and purchasing. Our house is about to go into a major remodeling. Shopping for materials was very exhausting for me. Things I thought would work ended up not the most practical materials. For example, carrera marble is not ideal for kitchen countertop. They looked fabulous but get stains easily(we drink a lot of wines!). I walked in didn't know what to do. Then I met Alexa! She is friendly and professional. She listened and gave me her honest opinions. She also sent me home with tile samples! This place is by far my favorite place for stone and tile selections! I needed a large slab of stone for my staircase landing. This slab needed to match the color of stone steps from a different vendor. I went to almost EVERY natural stone seller for that large matching slab. I found that IRG is the best in terms of: 1. Huge selection: they carry so many different stone pieces and tiles. From their large selection, I found a matching pieces quickly. 2. Great pricing: I almost bought an imperfect matching piece at another store, until my GC suggested checking IRG last second. Boy I am glad i went to IRG, I not only found my perfect matching slab, but at half price compared to the other store too! 3. Amazing friendly staff: I called and visited IRG several times. There was ALWAYS a friendly voice to answer the call. My sales person Patricia Chan was always very pleasant and humorous. She patiently answered all my questions regarding natural stones for outdoor use. She went above and beyond to help me get what I wanted, with a great price. I can't thank her enough. I feel like the culture in IRG is kind and gentle (no pushing for sales). And they do care about their customers. I would give IRG 10 stars if I could. I ended up working with Alexis, who was very knowledgeable, and helped me find the right marble at the right price point. I really love the stone, it is so gorgeous. I went back today, with my fabricator, Jose Borgo, who told me that IRG has top quality stone. He has worked with other places that don't stand behind their product, but he said IRG always does, and consistently has the highest quality. And, a big shout out for Alexis. They are amazing to work with, have the best prices that I could find in the bay area (and I shopped around a lot), were far less expensive than fabricators for the same material and were so professional and great to work with. They are great about holding materials while we finalized quotes to be sure we purchased the correct amounts. Granite, Marble, Quartzite - Unless you went to the Colorado School of Mines - I suspect you know as much about their strengths, differences and weaknesses when used as countertops in the home and kitchen as I did BEFORE I got my FULL EDUCATION and WHITE GLOVE service from my new best friend and stone SHERPA, CHARLIE OF IRG. Oh yeah, there are now all these man-made stones as well, which appear to have benefits - but not until you speak with an EXPERT. That gets me to this review. Thank god we ran into CHARLIE while wandering around IRG in Brisbane, CA over Easter and Passover weekend. He looked like an owner, given his "roll up the sleeves and let's get it done" approach to helping us - later I found out he mainly works in the Marin/Sonoma part of the Bay - but we likely caught him on a rare weekend in Brisbane. Now I know that synthetic quartz can leave burn marks when hot items are placed on them,...and when we looked at a big old slab of the "white marble" looking manmade stuff it failed to satisfy like real stone. If not for CHARLIE we might have been really unhappy with our selection. Now we have three slabs of white "marble looking" matched and aligned Quartzite sitting in their GIGANTIC AIRPLANE HANGER SIZED WAREHOUSE ready for our stone cutter/fabricator to do his thing. I can't say enough nice things about IRG and Charlie. The guy was a professional and from walking us through all the options, to having the guys driving this specially equipped forklift that picks up each slab of stone and gently placing it so you can look at each giant slab under light and see if it meets your needs, to writing us up and holding the slabs for 10 days (very reasonable in my opinion) at no cost to us - so we can talk to our fabricator and home construction team to coordinate times and delivery dates,...the whole process was painless and actually very satisfying. I wish every aspect of our complete kitchen redo would be this easy, cost-effective and satisfying. Charlie and IRG - THANKS for ALL the PROFESSIONAL HELP and IMMENSE CHOICES of BUILDING MATERIALS! We'll be back and I have absolutely NO HESITATION sharing our great experiences with friends and colleagues. We did an entire 7,400 sq ft home - all the tile and stone - with the amazing help and products (and prices!) of Ameeta and all the good folks at IRG. We did two kitchens, 7-1/2 baths, my office, and more - see just a small sample of the amazing results in the photos we're including (some of our home is still a work in progress). Ameeta went above and beyond for us - steering us away from some bad choices we almost made, making great suggestions, staying late a couple of times, and making sure that everything was perfect. This business is amazing. It's a guess, but I'm thinking there are thousands of slabs of stone here. Marble, granite, soap stone, the selection will make you dizzy and make selection a challenge. Helpful and courteous staff are available to answer questions. Once you decide on a few, staff then chips off samples and gives you pricing for all the stone you're interested in. Prices are unbelievable, ultra high end stone going from 20 - 40 per sq ft. Compare this with Home Depot for 75 per and they have a limited selection. You will need to hire someone to fabricate and install, but you're still going to be ahead by at least $35 per sq ft. If you're willing to do some homework and interview a few contract fabricators you will save between 30 - 50% overall. Just make sure any contract you sign for fabrication places the burden on the contractor to perform to agreement. read more

Worst experience ever. My installer reserved a slab for me, so I came to inspect/approve my slab (as requested by IRG). I waited about 15 minutes to get some help (not unusual for this place), and, when it was my turn, the sales rep pointed to the back of the warehouse and said my slab was somewhere in the corner and then she walked off. I had to go look for my slab (which I never found). I tried to get more help finding my slab, but nobody was available to talk to me. The same woman pointedly ignored me, so I just gave up and decided to just leave. They would not provide a sample of the slab that I was purchasing, even though the manager had provided me with similar ones in different materials prior to that, and I had already taken one from the box at the front of the store (that other customers were helping themselves to without harassment). I told them I'm spending thousands of dollars with them, so they should give me a sample. I was told "Tough luck, you're not getting one" and "you're just going to have to deal with it." (direct quotes) I've been there four times now, and they've been rude every time, but this time was so far beyond unacceptable that I just can't stomach spending money with them at this point. I ended up getting the sample from my installer later who agreed that was unacceptable. Your installer might send you here -- Just don't do it. It's not worth the poor treatment. There are plenty of other stone yards that have a better selection. read more

I recently had an experience at Integrated Resources Group(IRG) that was worthy of me sitting down to write my first ever yelp review. I am a general contractor in San Bruno, and I was remodeling a bathroom for a client who had chosen a 12" by 24" marble tile for her shower surround and bathroom floor. Halfway through the installation process, my client decided that she did not like the tile she had chosen to install. Then next day my client and I returned to IRG (where she had purchased the tile) and sat down with a young lady named Alexis who had been working with my client and who had facilitated the order. Alexis understood that we needed a new tile ASAP because we had a bathroom torn apart, and she came to our rescue. She allowed my client to return all of the unused tiles (even the special-order pencil liner that IRG would not be able to return themselves!), and she assisted my client with choosing a tile that she was happy with. We ended up choosing a much, much cheaper tile than before, but Alexis's only concern was to make us happy. Within 24 hours of our job stopping, we were tiling the walls and floor with the new material. If you are in the market for tile or stone, I would definitely recommend doing business with Integrated Resources Group. read more

We searched far and wide for our granite slab ... visiting 20+ stores throughout the Greater Bay Area. San Carlos, South City, SF, Hayward, San Leandro, San Jose, Concord ... sigh. Our mistake was that we actually went to IRG very early in the process - and loved what they offered - but decided to do more "homework" and visit other establishments. You know, dot the i's and cross the t's. But ultimately, a serious waste of fuel and time. Learn from our mistake and focus on IRG from the start - their selection/prices were superior to any place we visited and their service was top-notch. So you're doing a kitchen or bathroom remodel, and you decided on natural stone countertops. Good choice. But you don't want the same Juparana, Santa Cecilia, Black Galaxy, etc that everyone else has. After all, it has to have your individual touch! IRG is the place to go. Not only do they have literally thousands of slabs under one roof, but they have many colors you'll never find elsewhere. You can truly find unique slabs with terrific veining and movement for a reasonable price. Staff will provide samples right off the slab you're looking at. They'll also get you pricing while you wait. IF you can find or have a good contractor to finish the slab you'll make out with a unique countertop at a competitive price. There are other places to buy slabs (Daltile and STC in San Leandro come to mind) but neither has the vast, unique selection like IRG. I recently went to IRG to purchase stone for our master bath and kitchen. I called and was told by the friendly receptionist that the stone I needed may not be available but I should talk to a sales person. Salesperson who I later found out was the owner told me the sizes of what was available and urged me to drive in. I was coming from Orinda and it was a hike but I am so glad I came in. Sales person/owner Ameeta was sweet, patient, attentive and got stuff done. She moved several stones and guided me through the process. She also went out of her way to find options that could work and make suggestions even though it was a busy Saturday. I left there satisfied but then the real reason I am writing this review started. I locked my keys in my car trunk! I hadn't eaten lunch and it was 2 pm. The fatigue of the day and heat got to me and I locked the keys. I came back inside to wait for Aaa and Candida the sweet receptionist offered me water and lunch! They had pizza for the employees. Not only that she made me the most awesome capuccino! I felt like a new person! Then when the store closed at 3 pm she came out and waited with me for Aaa to come. It actually took 3 tries to get the keys out and I was there till 5 pm! Candida even called a friend to come help me and they both waited with me for over 2 hours!! She and her friend were so kind. Her mom came too and so we all hung out In the parking lot. We've been looking for marble or granite to remodel our bathroom countertops. We spent a few weekends stopping by random marble and granite places in the East Bay. Most of the places seemed a little disorganized, some places even had their slabs out in the open behind their warehouse. So then I found this place through Yelp. After reading the other glowing reviews of this place, I found myself wondering, is it really worth it to drive all the way to Brisbane? The answer is YES. This place has a huge selection of stone. But not only that, the quality is just amazing. After coming to this place and then visiting a few other places in the East Bay, the slabs at the other places just seem not as high quality. You start to see that the slabs at the other places have little cracks or chips. While some other places may be cheaper, after seeing IRG's stone, you are willing to pay a little extra to get the better quality. Still much cheaper than Home Depot and Lowes. IRG has 2 different showrooms in the Bay Area. One in Brisbane and another in Dublin. We also went to the Dublin showroom, but we were slightly disappointed after having visited the one in Brisbane. The selection was not as good in Dublin. In addition, we thought that the staff working at the Dublin store just wasn't as friendly, nor as helpful as the staff in Brisbane. At the Brisbane store, the girl helping us, Alexis, was super nice. She helped me select a nice slab of marble and even gave me a nice discount - the actual price even came out to about 20% less than the price quoted to me at the Dublin store. Not sure why that is since they are the same store and are supposed to have the same prices. Overall, I'm happy with the price, quality, and service at IRG PS - We went once on a weekday and again on Saturday. It was super busy on Saturday, so if you have a chance to go on a weekday, I would suggest that. read more
