My wife and I went to probably a dozen different marble and stone showrooms before going to TEZ in Burlingame. TEZ was the last place we went because they had an amazing assortment of natural stone, and their staff was really terrific. Johnathan was our representative and he handled everything in an outstanding manner, he never made us feel like we were asking too many questions or that we were being a bother. His responsiveness to phone calls and texts were timely and professional. We came in a few times to match tile and trim pieces to our quartzite slabs, and he never thought twice about pulling our slabs out so we could see them all lined up. We were so impressed that we purchased all of our slabs here, as well as our floor tile and trim pieces. They held everything there for several weeks until our fabricator was ready to pick them up. I'd recommend TEZ to anyone looking for stone without hesitation. read more

Picked out my slabs on the floor in December 2025, Paid  in full including the labor/installation up front, $25,000. No schedule or commitment in the contract, was told they only needed 2 weeks notice to start the installation. Contacted them at the end of February, no answer. Went in person to get some timetable twice. Installation did not start until July 2026. The owner does not know how to manage his vendor doing the fabrication. The son is way over his head. Material and inventory is good, but will not use them again. 5 months is too long to wait for an installation when the slabs were in stock in December. read more

I would strongly advise any homeowner or contractor to take their business elsewhere. My experience with Tez Marble has been a months-long nightmare of incompetence, turnover, and blatant theft of $8,500. The issues began in July 2025 when I requested a quote from a saleswoman, Beyza, for 5-7 slabs and 2,000 sq. ft. of hardwood. It took her over a month to simply respond to an inquiry, causing them to lose the flooring portion of my business immediately. Against my better judgment, I moved forward with the slab purchase through a different salesman, Julio. We purchased 5 slabs, yet Julio accidentally charged us for 7, an overcharge of roughly $8,500. What followed was a masterclass in poor customer service: The Refund Delay: Julio dragged his feet for two months on the refund, only for us to find out he no longer worked at the company. Management Failure: I escalated the issue to Sam, the manager. He promised to process the refund immediately. Sam also made additional promises of delivering the slab the following day, but failed to do so. The Current Status: It is now February 2026--seven months after the initial contact and months after the overcharge--and we still have not received our money. Tez Marble has stopped responding and has made no effort to call or explain why they are still holding onto $8,500 of our money. They have been completely radio-silent while essentially "stealing" from a customer. Beautiful stone is not worth the risk of losing thousands of dollars to a company that clearly lacks the internal infrastructure or integrity to handle basic financial transactions. We recently visited Tez Marble in Burlingame as part of our bathroom and wet bar remodel projects. During our first visit, we actually felt optimistic. One of the owner's sons helped us, and he was friendly, knowledgeable, and generous with his time. He provided a field tile sample and told us about their other locations where we could look at remnants for the three countertops we needed fabricated. He also mentioned that if we chose to have Tez handle the fabrication, they would include the remnant at no additional charge. We followed his advice and went to the Oakland Tez Marble location. There, we found a small cracked remnant that could work for one of our counters and possibly the small wet bar countertop too. The staff member in Oakland was also initially helpful -- he had the piece moved so we could get a better look and even spent time online helping lay out designs for two of the counters. At this point, we were feeling good about our decision and excited to move forward. Unfortunately, everything fell apart after that. Both the Burlingame and Oakland stores completely ghosted us. I have sent four emails and left multiple voicemail messages for both locations requesting follow-up, asking about the status of the fabrication, and trying to schedule the final measurement before cutting. Weeks have gone by with absolutely no response from anyone. As someone who works in customer service, I am genuinely shocked by the lack of professionalism, communication, and accountability. It's disappointing and frankly baffling that a business could operate this way and expect to retain customers or maintain a positive reputation. What started as a promising experience has turned into a major frustration. I cannot recommend Tez Marble based on how they treated us once we were ready to move forward. read more

When we first came to Tez we fell in love with the beautiful selection they have and the story about it being a family run business. They sell themselves well.. our story took a sharp nose dive. We discovered by using an outside fabricator (who is respected in the industry) that the two slabs we purchased of quartzite were cracked (photos show the large cracks taped). Tez called me before I had a chance to talk to our fabricator to explain something "had come up" while I was at work and we needed to use them as fabricators instead. He said he'd urgently send me a contract to sign. Tez then when called out on the cracks stated it was a "natural feature" (our fabricator argued it could lead to it instability, esp when cutting). When we came back to the store, we discovered that the entire lot for sale on the floor had long cracks. They refused to offer any refund or discount on the obviously flawed slabs. They also made it a point to tell us how they made "plenty of money" on quartzite loudly in the store which made me cringe and to point out we were the only dissatisfied customers. It was all around a very disappointing experience. I'm sure they'll comment to seem smooth and that it is a "natural feature" of the stone, but we have been told otherwise by our kitchen design team. read more

Our journey with Tez Marble began at the Oakland location. Unfortunately, our experience with one of the sales representatives there didn't meet our expectations. We then visited the Burlingame location and were fortunate to work with Deniz on our very large order. Deniz is kind, humble, knowledgeable, and down-to-earth. Unlike our previous experience, where it felt like the sales rep was solely focused on making a sale, Deniz went above and beyond to help us find the perfect match for each wall tile and floor combination. I had purchased tile from Floor & Decor for 2 bathrooms, and decided I wanted to get real marble for the 3rd bath. I found the color & pattern I like at Tez when they had a SJ location. I underestimted and was short a few pieces. Several months had passed and by this time Tez had moved to Oakland. I called and Leo immediately picked up and made it really easy to purchase the remaining pieces. He also made it easy for me to pick up by arranging the tiles to be sent from Oakland to their store in Burlingame so I wouldn't have to drive that far to the East Bay. I had a fantastic experience at Tez Marble in Burlingame. I came in looking for a very specific tile to match existing tiles for a small shower repair and the folks there are very kind, patient, helpful and professional. While they didn't have an exact match on hand, they went out of their way to find similar tiles in their back stock room, which I eventually used in my bathroom project. They have a large selection of tiles and slabs and have many nice items that you wouldn't find at those large warehouses that sell the same mass produced tiles, etc. I would highly recommend visiting for any home improvement project needs. read more

Love this place! My husband and I have been here twice, to check out stuff, e.g. slabs, tiles, hardware, flooring, etc. and so far, each time the customer service we got from Johnathan was stellar! He was incredibly generous with his time, patient, and attentive. We went from slab to another to another .. and tiles can get dizzying. Tez's showroom is vast and there's a special kind of easer to getting both tiling and slabs in a one stop shop manner, especially because color coordinating is more seamless, but we wouldn't have been able to do this if they didn't have such a huge variety of things. We'll be going back more times, because we need those and crystallize and finish the selection process. If I'd gone to a shop with their selection but if the customer service wasn't on point, we would've gone elsewhere, so it's really refreshing to see the grace and kindness that Johnathan shows us, and we're super excited to keep working with him. Parking is convenient and free up front in their lot. And from what I can glean from other stores of this ilk, prices are reasonable. Our contractor will be doing the installation process, but Tex offers to coordinate and use some sort of software tools they have which I imagine are about measuring? I can't say enough about the experience, honesty and product quality at Tez. Sam is one of the best sales people I've had the pleasure of meeting. I told him what we wanted and he immediately brought my wife and me to a beautiful slab that ended up being our second choice, only because we decided to go over our budget for an even more beautiful stone. Even though we liked the one in his Burlingame showroom, he told us to wait to make a decision until he could get other slabs of the same stone brought in from their Oakland location. I'm updating my review to 3 stars, because despite the experience I had, I do have to say Sam is at least trying to do something about it. Sam responded to all of my points, and while I assume it must be annoying / frustrating to receive a negative review, he at least talked to me professionally over the phone and tried to offer me some paths forward. Our frustration mainly arose because we were told that the slab we selected would be enough for our project, however after receiving quotes from other fabricators for the labor, we discovered that one slab would definitely not be big enough even if we reduced the size. This tied into being upset over the receipt, which states "Returns and cancellations are subject to a 25% restocking / handling fee whether the goods are received or not." and that "Tez Marble will give store credit against returns and cancellations". However, Sam told us over the phone that this fee does not apply as long as the material doesn't leave the warehouse, fair enough, we should have asked, and I believe this wording should be updated to be a bit more specific. read more

I went to almost every Natural Stone retailer in the California Bay Area and I will have to say, none of them even came close to Tez Marble. I needed 2 slabs for my kitchen remodel and I was able to find exactly what I needed! As soon as you enter you are greeted with hands on customer care, I was greeted by Sam who walked me through their amazing showroom and guided me step by step through the process. At other places I was berated by sales employees trying to make a quick sale but my experience at Tez Marble was completely different. I not only got my countertops from Tez, I also got kitchen cabinets, floor tiles, backsplash, and I even contracted them to do the installation of the cabinets and counters. If anyone is looking for a one stop shop, these are the guys! They have the largest selection of slabs and tiles with the highest quality, great customer service, fair prices, and they really are the only one-stop shop in the Bay Area! We made the best purchase here in our brand new kitchen. Since my husband & I decide to remodel our kitchen, we start to look for stones for the island countertop. we've look through many of the stone retailers in the bay area, small or large, we couldn't find any one we like. Searching for countertops was so overwhelming; other than knowing I wanted quartz, I was stuck beyond that. I brought a friend who's flipped several homes to help, and she recommended we check out Tez. We talked with Johnathan Sage, who was very patient as we walked through their very wide selection. We stumbled upon one I liked for my kitchen, although I liked it better upside down due to the more muted coloring. Johnathan explained you don't install the counter upside down (I was a rookie!) but told us about honing. He talked directly with my contractor to get specific measurements and provide me with a written estimate in a timely manner. Meanwhile, I found a countertop for a bathroom elsewhere, but it took over two weeks to get an estimate from the store. During one of my contractor's conversations with Johnathan he told him about the other countertop, and it turned out they sold that as well. I got the estimate from the other store after I ended up buying the bathroom countertop, as well as the kitchen countertop, from Tez. Johnathan was very patient with me, able to answer my many questions, arranged for me to come back to view the four slabs before I purchased, worked really well with my contractor, and got back to both of us quickly anytime we reached out. Completed a kitchen remodel with my son and fiance. both of them had a very specific vision and aesthetic they were looking to achieve and didn't want a kitchen that looked like everyone else's. We landed at Tez Marble in Oakland after going many other places and they fell in love with Perla Venata Quartz for the counters and backsplash and Sahara Noir for the custom island. Both the island and one end of the counter were waterfall as well. Michael was fantastic to work with and made the experience educational as well. He wanted to know alot about what we were shooting for and complimented my son and fiance for their high sense of design stating their choices were brilliant! Materials were great and yes, expensive but we understood the investment and proceeded. Michael even recommended the fabricator to us (Stone Empire). They got the forklift and moved many pieces of material so we could have our choice and then held the material for months until we were ready for the installation. My contractor crew picked up a slab we purchased earlier and my crew called me noting it was cracked. It was not cracked when we picked it out but we still liked the slab and could work with it. Because we were working on a tight schedule, we opted not to use Tez to fab and install, as they needed 2 weeks to start and 2 weeks to install. We asked them to refund the deposit on installation and got the run around for weeks. I recommend not using this company at all. read more

My spouse and I were looking for granite for a kitchen remodel. We went to a number of places spending most of our time wandering around the showroom floors with little to no help. While heading to yet another place we passed Tez Marble and decided to stop in. Best decision ever. We were greeted when we walked in and immediately helped by Sales Associate, Leo Ng. Leo has an engaging personality, asked pertinent questions and listened to our needs. He quickly understood what we wanted, never pressured us and explained all the options available. Within minutes we found the stone slab we were looking for. Leo even suggested we move the slab into a larger area so we could see it without shadows which only cemented our decision. Next he took us to his office where he patiently entered our measurements to assure 1 slab would be enough. This was our first time so he explained fabrication and installation options and recommended we discuss the purchase with our GC before we purchased it to make sure there were no mistakes. Our GC was happy and we purchasing our stone slab from Leo at Tez Marble! I can't say enough great things about Leo and Tez Marble. Thanks for making our visit a great one, Leo.
