Hello Everyone! I don't usually take time to do these reviews but I felt compelled to warn all of you against doing business with this establishment. Last year we bought hardwood floor from them for our Kitchen--A couple of weeks ago an Appliance Repair Guy scratched our floor and I wanted to see if we could repair the floor instead of changing the whole thing--I called Carlos there and he was very nice and said our floor was discontinued but he had a couple of boxes that we could come get them--He said that since our floor was a year old the boards might not match if that was the case he would return them for us--We went to the store and they loaded the boxes in my car. The boxes were very old and not in good shape and were slightly opened on the ends of the boxes--We unloaded them and waited for the contractor--When the contractor arrived of course he pulled one board out of each box to make sure there were no stains on the Maple Wood--Once they pulled these couple boards out it was discovered that they were severely damaged and the color of these the boards in these boxes were different than what I have on my floor--I immediately texted Carlos and he texted me to bring the 2 boxes back for a full refund--I still have the text message on my phone---He was very nice and said no problem. When I arrived at the store, the employee at the Counter was extremely rude and immediately started talking down to me as if I was a student in her classroom--I nicely explained the issue and showed her the text message from Carlos and she started talking to me down again and said well I am not taking them back! I was flabbergasted! I have never seen any retailer act like this! Home Depot, Lowe's, etc would never act like this--She brought our her Manager Quinn and she told him to back her up even though she was wrong and of course, that is exactly what he did---They made no attempt to resolve this or make me feel good as a customer who put my trust in them as a customer---Didn't even offer a store credit--Just kept lecturing me how he would lose money!!! Especially after I had spent thousands of dollars with them last year! On top of it! They kept the Merchandise and made no attempt to give it back to us before we left the store!! Now, it will have to go to the Credit Card as a dispute but can you guys believe all this for a lousy $300?? How petty they were/are! Floor and Decor is your best friend for home remodeling. Shopping at here is a great experience - feels spacious, big selection, well organized & uncluttered, friendly staff that are eager to help. A hugely better experience compared to big box stores where it's hard to find help, aisles feel cluttered, and the process is tedious. We've been to this Burlingame location a bunch of times over the past couple years, taken and returned a bunch of samples, and purchased flooring and tile. Lots of affordable options and styles. Conveniently off 101 and efficient to shop here, which we are thankful for as remodeling is usually time-intensive. read more

Will and especially Julie did their job and made me happy. Will initially helped me with the purchase of two kinds of tile. Unfortunately, one of the tiles wasn't checked and I had 8 out of 9 boxes of the wrong tile! My tilers had already started to install and I caught it by chance. Frantic mode! Will not in but Julie stepped in and rectified the situation. She cleared the way so I could return and exchange unused and used tiles for my 8 boxes of correct tiles..whew!!! We reached a point where we had to redo our kitchen floor. Having not done this before, we asked around for recommendations and one of our friends recommended Floor & Decor. The store is easy to get to, has good parking, and has expansive inventory of many types of flooring. Thinking we wanted to replace tile with tile, we started there. But we quickly realized that for the kitchen LVP is the way to go. We met Lynn who helped us and was amazing. She helped us pick a few samples to bring home and try out. Once we selected the one we wanted, she helped us purchase the flooring. She was very helpful all through the process. We are super happy with our new floors and our experience at Floor & Decor. In addition, the ordering process was easy - we ordered it online and received an email when it was ready. You notify them what time you will arrive - when you get there, they have several spots available for curbside pickup. You park in one and text the number listed that you've arrived and they will bring out your order shortly after. I took my auntie to this location based of reviews and recommendations. This show room location is huge and you can just look around at how to combine different tiles or stones to create a bathroom floor etc. we looked at their show room to get ideas, and then we went shopping for tiles... By the showroom there will be someone to help you calculate how much tiles you need when you are ready to shop after looking.. They are extremely helpful, and walking around the floor where all their different tiles are all laid out and various different sizes is amazing and their prices are quiet reasonable. When I remodel my bathroom, I know where to go get some big tiles if you don't want that much grout gap. read more

I had a great experience there, shopping for wall, floor, and shower tiles for a small bath remodel, which had been a little overwhelming for me. Tile selection was more than sufficient for me, great return policy, and the prices quite reasonable. Re the free design services, I had no expectations for any kind of help, but was lucky enough to get design assistance from the supervising designer there, Gina, who was open to meeting with me without an appointment, and spent a good amount of time with me even though my project was small. After getting details about the size of my bathroom and the color scheme, she walked with me around the warehouse and offered different suggestions for everything, and gave me quality input on color and pattern combinations, pros and cons in terms of durability, ease or difficulty of working with certain materials, and how the light, paint, and decorative elements factor in to bring a bathroom together. She has no interest in steering me to choose or buy anything in particular. Was just no nonsense, but down to earth and easy to talk to, listened carefully, knew what she was talking about, followed up promptly when I emailed later with questions. Just super helpful. After that visit, I left with a much better, more informed handle on how to make my selections, which is huge. You can buy small quantities of tiles to take home and try in your space, and then just return them, hassle free. I ultimately purchased from there and am pleased with my new bathroom and the whole experience. read more

Terrible service. Don't go there. Manager was rude and did not offer to help load up 12x24 tiles after he pulled out the order. He walked away after I refuse to allow him to copy my ID. It's an internet order. Checking my ID is fine but copying my ID number is not necessary. Ask the cashier to call for assistant to load up and was told they were all busy. Now some of the wood is buckling at the corner that is connected to the marble entrance which is created a big issue. Their email stated they would contact me in 48 hours. It's been a week. So far, no customer service after the materials were bought. Not happy customer anymore. read more

I have placed three orders with this store since summer. I am extremely happy with the quality of the tile they have available. I have not been in the showroom as I always did curbside pickup. Ordering: the website is fairly easy to use for searching and you can order samples to be mailed to you and you get a credit when you order. I sometimes had issues getting the website to actually process my order though, so watch out for that and wait for the ready for pickup email. If you don't get that, call the store! Pickup: you park in a lot behind the warehouse and go into a room to let them know you are there. It is large with plexiglass between you and the staff and everyone wears a mask. They were great about me waiting outside and being inside as little as possible. With one order there was a massive mixup because the main system screwed up my order. I opted to wait and they came outside multiple times to keep me updated on what was going on. They got it all sorted out for me and after a long wait, loaded up my stuff. All staff are super nice and helpful and they had no problem loading my truck for me, which I appreciated. The place is huge, stocked to the brim with everything you'd need to cover your floors or your bathroom walls. What was really on display was the excellent customer service. At one time we had 4 employees helping us moving displays, researching stock, checking other stores for their stock, special ordering tiles, and making special shipping arrangements. Both Felix and Michael were knowledgeable, informative, willing to go the extra mile to help us, kudos and gratitude from us to you and your team. The store has a great selection of tiles and that's where it ends. We are remodeling our bathroom and we noticed when unboxing that they gave us 9 boxes of the wrong tiles when we did curbside pick up. I called the store at 6:30pm and they said it would be no problem and to just head back to the store and they'd switch it out. I told them we're 15 minutes away and they said it wouldn't be a problem over the phone. We got there at 6:45. We saw one of their associates Douglas L. standing there and asked for assistance. He could not be bothered, he asked us where our tiles were and we said in the car and if someone could help us, he said nobody could help us and that they were closing. So my husband went to the car and loaded it himself. Meanwhile, people were literally still shopping. I asked if he could help me find the correct tiles, and he walked away from me and started helping another associate lift tiles. I literally couldn't believe this so I told him "just to be clear, you're walking away and are not going to help us in any way" He said "ya we're really busy and we close in 10 minutes, you would just keep us here longer" , his other associate heard the whole thing and began to help us, he put down the tiles he was currently working on, found us the correct tiles and loaded it on a cart and switched it out for us which took less than 5 minutes. Huge almost warehouse-like feel of everything you'd want to see in just as its name says, "floors and decor." They also have a huge selection of slabs and tile, cabinetry, etc. We ended up not committing to buying anything from here because the porcelain is such a turn off, it looks artificial and plastic-ey, and though the patterns and colors are gorgeous, the look of it is too fake. This place requires lots of walking and meandering around, and they don't have one of those carts you can ride around in, and if they do, I didn't see it. If you get lucky, which we did, they do have folks to help you out and inquire about whether you have questions, as a guy asked us--and he gave us a mini tutorial on manufactured wood. If you think a Home Depot type of place, you'll get the picture. They have tons of free parking on site, it's facing blustery bay in Burlingame and worth the drive out for a huge selection of stuff. read more

We came from Sunnyvale at 5 pm and they were passing remarks when we just asked them to use the restroom. Never coming back to this . I visited this location when I was visiting from out of state and needed to confirm some specific selections with my contractor (who would be procuring materials from a F&D location closer to the build). Two designers were at the design desk not helping anyone. Rather than being helpful, the design supervisor, Gina Quon, interrogated me on my project and tried to convince me to fulfill my project from their location, admitting that it would cost more due to distance but would overall be better (?!?). At this point, still not having answered my initial questions, it seemed like she was unwilling to work with me unless it amounted to a sales credit. Annoyed, she handed me off to the junior designer when she realized that was going nowhere. This designer, Hiba Chamekh, was wonderful! She is very talented and clearly has a passion for design, had fresh ideas and a keen eye for color. Hiba also kindly worked a bit beyond the end of her shift to ensure I was all set. 5 stars for Hiba and zero for Gina (who should maybe reconsider being in a customer service job). read more

I purchased several tiles from Floor & Decor and have been very happy each time. The selection is large and ranges from affordable to expensive (mostly affordable). I like the different patterns on display; they give you an idea of how the individual pieces come together. Every staff member we have worked with has been friendly and helpful, and I don't think they are even commission based. Let me start off by saying that that I never intended to install my own floors. After interviewing 6 different flooring contractors and specialists, no one had as much knowledge as Thomas at floor and decor. After lots of youtube and talking with many sub par contractors (a couple good ones who weren't available) I realized many of them really don't have my best interest in mind. I learned that I had a below grade concrete floor, meaning I would need a moisture barrier under my underlayment to protect the flooring from moisture that seeps up through the concrete. Non of the other contractors warned me about this, Except Thomas from floor an decor. After doing all my research on the floors I finally got them in and figured baseboards are the last easy part. Then I got to floor and decor and talked to Thomas who told me that baseboards are the hardest part of flooring. Boy was I in over my head. I won't go into details but thomas went above and beyond to help me solve my problem and now I have the most beautiful baseboards. Aside from thomas, the store itself is amazing and light-years ahead of places like lumber liquidators. The flooring quality is better, they have better brands, more options for your budget and insanely good service. Honestly I'm usually a guy that always looks for the best deals for high quality, not cheap big box stuff. I was totally thinking floor and decor would just be another ripoff cheap warehouse store. Thomas help us when we came in for kitchen flooring. He was very helpful and knowledgeable and pleasant about giving us info on doing the work by ourselves. Help us look for the right colors for certain items. The only thing was that he went to lunch and we don't know if they get commission or not. So another person helped us get out item and the sale went in his name instead of Thomas. It was almost 1k worth of items and I think Thomas should be getting the commission instead of Rod if we had know they use their name when they pull the items. But go to Thomas when you're there. We ended up at F&D based on the recommendation of our contractor and were amazed by the price and selection. Staff and design consultants were super friendly and helpful. After all the searching we have done while remodeling a downstairs living area, finally found a place that has many tiles to choose from and actually bought what we needed for the bathroom renovation. We've been to Home Depot, Lowe's, Floorcraft, Sincere Home Decor, and East Star Building Supply. Not to mention online stores, Wayfair, Walmart, Overstock, and Amazon. While many of them have nice tiles and helpful staff, we weren't able to find the right combination of colors we wanted, until we shopped at Floor and Decor. So glad we're making progress! A very unpleasant experience at this store despite the large selection and reasonable pricing. Buyer be aware, you will not be able to return any uncut wood plank in a open box even if the sales saff promised you can at the time of purchase. The store supervisor had an impatient and unwelcoming attitude. She kept referencing the return policy not acceptimg open box eventhough the posted policy has no mention of open box but stated that all returns are accepted as long as they are in a resalable condition... This supervisor actually walked away when questioned about the policy. She makes you feel that you are NO ONE and how dare you question her?! Maybe she should get some training on company policy and customer service before she bullies another customer. read more
