We needed to redo our shower floor from marble tile (don't ever use porous tiles on shower floor!) to porcelain tile. A3 Tile has the best selection of high quality porcelain and stone tiles among all the shops that we had been to in the Bay Area, and we eventually selected a 3D Italian tile to be custom-cut to our preferred dimensions. Phil was extremely helpful and diligent in following up on the arrival of the tiles and the custom cutting, as well as helping with a last-minute tile shortage issue due to my miscalculation. We were greeted by Juan, and he helped us narrow down the options pretty quickly with a description of what I was looking for. We were looking for 3 different bathroom tiles for showers + a floor that we loved. We found them ALL HERE. One stop shop. It was fantastic. When it came to payment and delivery, the whole process was smooth and easy. They delivered tile that was shipping from across the country earlier than expected. I REALLY APPRECIATE Juan being able to communicate via text. It's amazing to not have to get on the phone for every small thing. We had a couple tiles damaged in transit and they were replaced quickly and efficiently. A3 Tile helped me every step of the way to select and purchase tile for my bathroom remodel. I wanted a tile that had a small hexagon shape for shower and a larger hexagon shape for floor. I was able to browse in their showroom without being questioned about who my designer was. They were very helpful when I had questions. I had to borrow samples to see the tile at home. The ordering process was easy and they helped me with grout colors. My contractor did a horrible job of installing the floor tile and the heating system. We found a great tile installer to redo the floor and heating system and A3 was great. They are also experts on the heated floor system. read more

They had an excellent and seamless experience from start to finish. Jay and A3 have been in the business since the early 2000s possibly longer, so they know what they're doing. Pricing was great compared to the surrounding areas, and they'll be willing to work with you and your budget. Customer service was excellent and very personable. What a huge waste of my time and energy. This store is very small, crowded, messy and disorganized. I was interested in looking at their quartz countertop materials but they don't have many options and then have some of their samples mixed in with the granite samples. I reached out to A3 Tile and although they didn't carry the tile I needed, they were able to identify the tile. As DYI homeowner I have decided to cover my outdoor patio (22" x 11") with "wood-like" tiles. Unlike the usual brick-n-mortar stores (Home Depot, Lowes) in a small shop like A3 you have staff that will help you with selection and ordering custom parts (in my case, I wanted to have edge protection for the steps). Ordering was easy and the delivery was done on the promised date. The tile selection is quite good. If I could give this place negative stars, I WOULD! Absolutely the most atrocious customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered grout which was to be available the next day. When I came to pick it up, it was the wrong grout. Seeing as this was an urgent matter, I asked to have the correct one rushed. No, I was told it would take a day. OK, where is it coming from? San Jose, I'm told. (30 min drive not 24 hours!!) Given the fact that this was urgent, I said I will go pick it up, and the drive wont' take a day!! Instead of agreeing, the guy just gave me a refund. I repeatedly said, this is urgent....I do not want a refund I want to just pick up. Apparently he didn't like my attitude and decided it would be best to simply screw me over. To make matters worse, he said that he would let me go get it, if I ADMITTED MY MISTAKE!! umm WTF? If you want quality customer service, this is not the place for you! I have no idea what the prices are on tile, but I can guarantee that customer service is one thing you will not get. Called A3 Tile in search of some Shluter products (waterproofing for showers). This product is super expensive so I called around getting a couple dealer quotes. Jessica Bracamonte, the sales rep at A3 I spoke with, was very professional, and quick to provide me a quote by email. She tried to get the price down to beat a competitor and she did a diligent job. Jessica came close to matching the other competitor (just a couple dollars more), however, I chose to go with the other dealer simply because it was closer to me. Even after I told Jessica I wouldn't be able to buy from A3 she was still positive and offered to help me if I needed anything else. I initially worked with Jessica, who was extremely helpful and friendly. She showed me many different samples and gave me great ideas as well. I did not feel rushed at all and she answered all my questions thoroughly. I took a tile board home to try (upon her suggestion) and so glad I did! I ended up choosing a tile color that I did not originally have in mind but that looked better in my foyer given its particular lighting. A few days later when I went back to purchase the tile, Juan? (Store manager) helped me out and he also was extremely helpful and friendly. The selection and pricing at A3 is excellent and I would not hesitate to return here for my next tile project. Finally I approached one of them to ask my questions. Answers were curt. No follow up questions like "where do you plan to use this tile" etc? Someone was washing dirty dishes in the shop. I could smell the food odor. Tiles piled on the floor. You have to bend down to get a good look. They didn't want my business and I am not giving them any. read more

They have a good selection if nice, quality tiles here at decent prices. I bought my bathtub wall tiles here (Porcelonosa - Deco Nacare Blanco) and am extremely happy with them. The best part is that they were having a 30% off sale! I dealt mostly with Jay, he was great. This is the first place I've been to where they let you take home tile samples! That was a definite plus. Juan is also extremely helpful. Their warehouse is located in San Jose, I think, and if what you order is in stock, you can get it in 2 days or so. Jay called the minute my tiles arrived to let me know they were ready for pick up. My only gripe was that when I went to pick up my order, the warehouse delivered the wrong tiles and I had to drive back to SF empty handed. Bought some tile here that I had originally seen at Bullnose Tile in San Jose - the manager at A3 beat their closeout price. I think this is great place to look for trim tile because of the variety they offer, and also important, there is no minimum amount that they require you to order. They also carry Laticrete grout. I didn't inquire about the colors they keep on hand, but I do know that Lowe's carries this brand but has very limited colors in stock. read more
