We purchased moving blankets off the web rather than rent them. The driver came with the container on a ramp truck and placed with the precision of surgeon exactly where we wanted it and just inches from a 10' driveway lamp. It was 20'-30' away from the house and with the sea-seal rubber gasket on the doors, this thing is dry in a Cat 5 Hurricane; and we got to test it a few times with torrential driving rain and everything from our piano to our mahogany desk was snug as a bug in a rug. It was close if we needed to add or remove something and it was a lot of cubic feet. We had looked at pods but even the larger one was not as big cubic foot wise as the container which also was half the price of a pod. With steel walls and sealed doors the new container was just perfect. I really can't say enough good things about this very progressive company who I have since learned have tons of different sizes and buy them new and bring them in like Russian boxes; all nested inside each other. So whether you're storing a lawnmower or a 2 ton truck; they have the size to fit. We called and left a message on Sunday that we were all set and they could retrieve the again empty container any time and they showed within 24 hours and happily and SKILLFULLY plucked it up and took it away. I cut an 8x8 landscape timber into four sections and put one under each corner in an attempt to save the grass under where this sat from August until January. Worked like charm! Again the driver was so helpful in positioning the container exactly where we wanted and needed it. If I could give them 8 stars I would; they were that good for us! Thanks MiniWarehousing!

We will strive to live our company values and do the right thing by our customers. Corporate is encouraging lenient storage fees. So corporate is not advocating collecting rent, the managers are apparently. The manager told me corporate sets the monthly rates. But the CEO says it's the managers who set the rates. Now is the time to work together, not raise prices and take advantage of people

Even though cars had parked in the spaces I had reserved for the in-town move, the guys were pleasant and got it done quickly. The movers made contact when they were en route to my location, and showed up on time. All three of the movers introduced themselves, and post my tour of what they needed to move, they went to work. Our move was sizeable 3bd apt in a house to a 2bd smaller townhouse. They disassembled, reassembled, and arranged furniture in the most effective configuration. They were real people who truly cared about the job they did. They also understood how stressful moving is. My move took 6 hours and they were moving the entire time. Ugh. If you are a student, you pay storage charges up front for a summer or a semester, so if you…read morego over the storage time by even a day you end up paying double what you intended to pay. But that's not even the issue, since that is in their fine print. The issue is that these people are impossible to reach by phone. They picked up my son's belongings in May, but on their website there was nothing listed as being in storage for him to get back. The office was closed over Labor Day weekend, which is a very busy move-in weekend for students at the local universities, and they had a phone message saying nobody would be in their office answering their phone and that you should text this other number. Texting that number produced no results. Honestly, the best option for storage is to rent a storage unit and bring things to it yourself so that you don't get overcharged and jerked around by OnDemand storage.

As a result, I used them in 2018 as well, and urge anyone considering using this company to avoid doing so. OnDemand called me the day before my pick-up to ask to reschedule, promising a discount. I agreed to this. A charge was billed to my credit card but I never received an invoice, indicating that I'd received a discount. When I finally received an invoice (after repeated emails), I had not received the promised discount. Most problematically, when my belongings were returned, a desk was very damaged and a $200 rug was not returned at all. OnDemand has refused to provide any reimbursement, noting that I did not purchase insurance. At no point was the option to buy insurance made prominently available. Customer service has been slow to respond to my emails, often waiting until I have sent two or three over the course of several weeks. I will not be using this company again and I do not recommend using them either.
