Smooth efficient move , wonderful team to Ice and sorry I forgot his partners name . Best move ever!read more

If I could put 0 stars. I would…read more I chose Born to Move based a written quote from the company. Before booking, I was quoted approximately $480-$560 to move a single couch from Chicago to Madison at a rate of $160 per hour with a three-hour minimum. Their website advertised that the hourly rate included the truck, movers, gas, tolls, mileage, insurance, and furniture protection. Based on those representations, I reasonably believed transportation-related costs were already factored into the quoted estimate. Imagine my surprise when my final invoice came to $960 -- approximately 71% higher than the estimate. The invoice included 3.5 hours of labor and an additional 2.5 hours of travel time, adding $400 to the final bill. My issue is not simply that the move cost more than expected. My issue is that the estimate, website advertising, and billing structure did not align. The website repeatedly states that transportation costs are included, while elsewhere disclosing that travel time is billed separately. Important pricing information appears buried deeper in the website rather than alongside the headline pricing. I also found multiple hourly rates listed throughout the website, making it difficult to determine what pricing actually applied. Had I known the move would cost nearly $1,000 rather than the quoted $480-$560, I would have obtained quotes from other moving companies before booking. To make matters worse, after filing a claim, I was informed by the claims administrator that the review process can take up to 120 days and that no status updates would be provided during that time due to call volume. As a customer, being told to wait up to four months without any updates does not inspire confidence that concerns will be addressed promptly or transparently. The movers themselves were polite but unprofessional. The pricing transparency, billing practices, and claims process left me extremely distressed as this was a gift for my mother and I had saved up for it. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this company to get detailed written clarification regarding travel-time charges and total expected costs before booking.

I felt confident that the items I dropped off would be handled in a timely manner. If you'd like one, a receipt is given to allow you to track your shipment or returns. Capable of accepting cash, credit cards and contactless pay. Parking is shared in a shopping area, shared with neighboring businesses. No matter where you park, it is a short distance to the door. This location has a bin if you want to drop off your items you'd like shredded. It's a large 55 gallon, lidded trash can that is secured so once you put documents in it, no one can randomly pick through it. It's unlocked by the personnel who do the shredding. They can accept items for the USPS, FedEx, UPS and have items for sale if you need tape, boxes, envelopes, bubble wrap, styrofoam peanuts and postage. There's a copier on site, fax service and, a few other services. Conveniently located to me and the hours fit my schedule. I would frequent this business again as well as refer others if they needed any of the aforementioned services.

The driver has repeatedly lied about coming to our house and saying that either the package was not available or that we were not home. Not only have we been home, but we have a video doorbell so we can see anyone who comes to our front gate. I have called the main UPS center and also have had this distribution center call me. On two of these occasions (Saturday and today) I have been promised that the package was on the truck and that the driver would be dropping off and picking up my packages. These calls were helpful and reassuring, however the driver again lied about coming to our house and never actually came here. The notes he makes online contradict reality - he says that he stopped by and the packages were not available, however if the package was on the truck, why not at least deliver that when you are stopping by? A signature is not required. When I spoke to a woman at the distribution center, I asked if perhaps he needed help and today she told me that she was personally making sure that someone would be on the truck to help him deliver the item as it is heavy. Still didn't get delivered, though he did say that he came to our home and that the packages he was supposed to pick up weren't available. On one of the first days this happened, I heard the truck and ran outside and he was parked down the street and I considered running down to check if we could get our things but he drove away - come to find out that was the exact time he was logging in that we were not home. I was literally standing on the sidewalk looking at him and the truck in the distance. He never came near our home or even got out of the truck. Not sure what to say as there is a bit of a monopoly and I can't keep my packages from going through this distribution center. I'm calling and messaging UPS every time this happens and the Norwood Distribution center IS calling me and telling me that my packages will be delivered/picked up that day. They have been friendly and helpful, except that they can't seem to get this driver to come to my house or deal with him lying about it. So yeah, if you are getting gaslit by your UPS delivery person, you are not alone. They actually ARE lying about coming to your house and are not actually coming. You aren't crazy. At least not about that. ;) Update: A driver came today and dropped off the package but did not pick up the other two. I happened to hear him so I ran out and asked if he could take the two that were waiting to be picked up on the porch. He said that he didn't have the labels or paperwork (even though dispatch had assured me they had been given out on Saturday and again on Monday) but that he could take them. He also said that he was a temporary replacement driver. I'm updating this from one star to two because he was clearly doing his best and trying to do a good job. I'm not sure who, where, or what in the process caused all of the above to happen but the process could definitely be improved upon. Am really just keeping this review up so that if you experience something like this you know that you're not alone and also that it might just be a super crappy system with no one actually being malicious or even negligent. I don't know. But the driver was really nice and the packages are all fine so (hands in the air shrug IDK...good luck out there!)

Hello, My name is…read moreMike, and I am the Operations Manager at Franklin Sports in Stoughton, MA 02072. Since our account was moved from Brockton to Norwood, we have experienced ongoing and unacceptable issues with our daily pickups. Franklin Sports has had a 5:00 PM pickup for more than 40 years. Our warehouse closes at 5:00 PM, and we have always relied on the carrier arriving at that time to ensure our shipments leave the facility as scheduled. Unfortunately, since the account transition, drivers have repeatedly failed to arrive for the scheduled pickup. On multiple occasions, our employees have had to remain after hours and incur overtime costs simply because the driver did not show up. This is not only creating unnecessary labor expenses, but it is also creating significant operational problems for our company. More importantly, there are times when we have critical or time-sensitive packages that must leave our facility that day. Our CEO is understandably very unhappy when important shipments are not picked up because a scheduled truck does not arrive. What makes the situation particularly frustrating is that we have seen trucks traveling directly past our building around 5:00 PM while our scheduled pickup is still waiting to be made. We need this issue addressed immediately. We need confirmation that our 5:00 PM daily pickup will be consistently serviced, as it has been for decades. If there has been a change in routing, staffing, dispatch procedures, or the pickup arrangement since the move from Brockton to Norwood, we need to understand what has changed and, more importantly, how it will be corrected. We value our longstanding relationship with your company, but the current level of service is not acceptable for Franklin Sports. We cannot continue keeping employees after hours and paying overtime because scheduled pickups are missed, nor can we risk important shipments being left behind. Please escalate this issue to the appropriate operations and dispatch management team and provide us with a clear resolution as soon as possible. Thank you, Mike Operations Manager Franklin Sports Stoughton, MA 02072

They've lost several packages of ours when we had them sent to the post office specifically for safe keeping, and, my personal favorite, they get angry when we return looking for the same package (which they lost) more than once. One employee in particular - Janet - should be fired immediately. She yells at her staff and her customers publicly, curses frequently in front of customers, and once - when we said that we would wait until they found a package of ours that they lost - threatened to call security and have us forcibly removed. A real winner, that one. Honestly, this post office is one of the top reasons I want to leave Allston and they're the only reason I will never ship USPS again. Avoid it any way you can.
