While the gentleman who did my paperwork for Guardian was pleasant enough, and the rate was competitive, I experienced an unrecoverable loss of a red leather chair, to what appeared to be rodent(s) chewing at it. There were a few newly purchased packing boxes which also suffered the same type of damage. When I brought this to the attention of Brad, the manager of the facility, he told me about the facility's insurance coverage and pointed me in their direction. (I guess that was easier for him than just telling me what he surely already knew.) I filled out a multiple page claim form online and provided clear evidence with pictures. About a week later I get a form letter back telling me that I'd be covered for a natural disaster, but if their storage unit had rodent infestation resulting in damage to my property, that was not covered. Moral of the story would be to inspect the unit thoroughly; ask the unlikely questions; and get representations in writing. Not a good experience.

We hired Gallos Moving & Storage company for a recent local move. Following the walkthrough we were…read moreinitially quoted for 5 hours. We did a lot of prep and ended up moving most of our clothes and smaller items ourselves throughout the week. The actual move was 2.5 hours. We ended up being billed for 4 hours. We reached out to the company to get the cost adjusted for the actual moving time, immediately following the move and was then told about this 4-hour minimum. This was not included in the quote or in the emails we exchanged prior to the move. This is completely unacceptable. When I contacted the bank to dispute, they required I get an updated receipt for the price difference from the vendor which is impossible given they refused by email already. Although the actual movers were great to work with, the business person we worked with on the other end, Chris, was rude and dismissive. Given this experience I would not recommend.

The storage units are all inside, meaning you don't access the units until you have access to the inside building. Which can be a problem on some level because you are limited to accessing your storage by their set business hours. So evening hours to access storage is off limits, as is early weekend mornings. ( other storage facilities allow access during off hours via an access code) That's why I gave it a 4 Star. Other than that, the building is very clean, air tight, organized, pleasant, safe and a top notch place to store your stuff. One other down side is that it's pricey, but you pay more for what you get as they say!

We got the first month free and then put the monthly charge on our credit card. The price for this was the best compared to others we called about. We got a code for the gate and could come and go fairly easy. They do lock it for the night for security reasons. This location is right next to North End Treats and the pool store. There is another location closer to the mall but we didn't go there to compare since we were so pleased at this place. I would highly recommend this spot. We also go a POD which was great since it came to the house and was taken away. However, you can't go in and out to get things like you can with the storage unit. Both have pros and cons.
