They totally didn't mind us helping the process along to get it done in as little time as possible, as long as we stayed off the truck itself. And bonus soundtrack of slow 90's R&B jams on truck: "Cuz tonight, baby, I WANNA GET FREAKY WITH YOU!" And then they drove on to another job for the afternoon! They called me a few weeks before scheduled delivery & unload of my u-box, and we agreed on 8:30am on the scheduled date. A week later, they called to schedule again, which I thought was a little weird, but I brushed it off as a mistake and reminded them we had already scheduled it for 8:30am, and the woman I spoke with agreed and apologized. Flash forward to the date of the move-in. About fifteen minutes before scheduled arrival, I tried to call to make sure they could find the place, as my place is located on a sort of hidden culdesac. No answer from the number listed here or on the one provided by uhaul. I went back through my call history and found the number that had originally called me to schedule (with a tx area code). No answer, but right after hanging up I received a text from that number. Here's how that conversation went: People's Moving: Hi, I missed a call from this number? Me: Hi! I had spoken to someone on this number from people's movers before? People's Moving: Yes how can I help you? People's Moving: I'm sorry I'm driving Me: No worries! I'm meant to have a uhaul ubox delivery and unload this morning and just wanted to confirm Me (twenty minutes later): They were meant to be here 15 minutes ago & the uhaul storage facility says the box hasn't been picked up. Me (twenty more minutes later): Hello? Those last two text messages weren't delivered. I also tried calling, and after one ring my call went to voicemail. In other words, they blocked my phone number. Movinghelp.com and Uhaul also tried to contact them on my behalf, to no avail. So 4 hours after they were scheduled to arrive, I'm trying to find a moving company available for same day service. This company is run by complete incompetence, if it is run at all. Save your money, time, and stress levels, hire someone else from the start.

Rodent infested- doors of the building left open. I rented…read moremy unit for over a year without any issues besides him raising the rent 2-3x. A few months ago I noticed mouse droppings in my unit so I contacted the owner who had been great up until that point. His response to my inquiry is below. The owner pretty much told me to pound sand and then started to charge my credit card a monthly fee to put traps inside of my unit. I stored nothing even close to food in my unit- only clothes and furniture. I took it upon myself to go out, buy mothballs and change them out every few months. I chalked this up to incompetency and simply poor business skills on the owners part until we ran into another issue.... Last Friday night we went to the storage facility to find the two front doors of the building completely unlocked! The key pad was working but the door never locked behind us. We waited 15 minutes to see if that changed but nope- the doors remained unlocked with no one else at the facility... The entire building was left exposed to anyone in the neighborhood with a set of bolt cutters. We took videos and pictures of this figuring it would most likely fall on deaf ears seeing how ignorant the owners first response to us was. We hired movers and had our belongings transferred to another facility yesterday. Once we got into the back of the unit we found the actual damage to our stuff. The mice chewed through wires and pretty much used our unit as a public waste area. Im well aware that every storage facility is going to have some type of rodent problem but to respond to customers who have entrusted you with their valuables in this way is unacceptable and a clear representation of what you will get if your store your items with this company. "Please keep in mind we have over 300 customers storing their belongings here. Our rental agreement states clearly no food products allowed however we cannot verify what people bring into the building at all times which is why every storage facility including ours contracts exterminators monthly to keep rodents and insects to a minimum. I've fined people for storing 10lbs bags of rice and pasta ‍ Keep in mind every restaurant you've ever eaten has also mice no matter if it's a Michelin star or McDonald's. We came in and everything was fine but we should have been notified immediately. This year the price has gone up closer to almost another extra 25-30 dollars if I recall and that's a pretty big hike considering it was like 50. Also considering the fact we were *NOT* notified despite them assuring us they sent word out (only after the fact when called) so I'm not sure if that was sheer laziness by not checking all the boxes or if they were just trying to pull the wool over our eyes. We literally only found out upon paying it after the new year. No mail, texts, or anything. We're thinking about cleaning it out and bringing things home because moving everything somewhere else or finding someone to do that would be too much of a hassle as I'm very disabled and can barely get out of the house. Can't fault them for this but not a very good situation to be in and I still hold a lot of grief regarding my father and another relative's deaths which is what forced us to get a storage unit in the first place because of my father's sister locking us out when I was still basically a kid. She took the house and lives literally right down the street from where we ended up having to put our stuff. The good: The facility is clean, well-maintained, secure, and reasonably priced…read more I had to call the maintenance staff twice to open the freight elevator when it was stuck. In both cases they came promptly and were friendly. The bad: The storage lockers are open only from 7AM to 7PM, seven days a week. Maintenance staff is available only from 7AM to 3:30 PM, Monday thru Friday. Passengers are not allowed in the freight elevator. The elevator has both an inside door and an outside door, both on ground level and on the second floor. If all four doors are not closed and latched, the elevator gets stuck and you have to call maintenance. You have to climb a flight of 17 stairs to get to the second floor because you can't ride in the elevator.
