Patriot Storage took so much stress out of our cross country move. Not only were they beyond easy…read moreto work with, they have fantastic facilities and really go above and beyond to make sure your needs are met. I really liked how they could recommend what size storage we would likely need and then sent convenient text messages to confirm everything. They also recommended local movers to help, which was a god send being new to the area. You should absolutely trust Patriot for any of your storage needs!

Rodent infested- doors of the building left open. I rented…read moremy unit for over a year without any issues besides him raising the rent 2-3x. A few months ago I noticed mouse droppings in my unit so I contacted the owner who had been great up until that point. His response to my inquiry is below. The owner pretty much told me to pound sand and then started to charge my credit card a monthly fee to put traps inside of my unit. I stored nothing even close to food in my unit- only clothes and furniture. I took it upon myself to go out, buy mothballs and change them out every few months. I chalked this up to incompetency and simply poor business skills on the owners part until we ran into another issue.... Last Friday night we went to the storage facility to find the two front doors of the building completely unlocked! The key pad was working but the door never locked behind us. We waited 15 minutes to see if that changed but nope- the doors remained unlocked with no one else at the facility... The entire building was left exposed to anyone in the neighborhood with a set of bolt cutters. We took videos and pictures of this figuring it would most likely fall on deaf ears seeing how ignorant the owners first response to us was. We hired movers and had our belongings transferred to another facility yesterday. Once we got into the back of the unit we found the actual damage to our stuff. The mice chewed through wires and pretty much used our unit as a public waste area. Im well aware that every storage facility is going to have some type of rodent problem but to respond to customers who have entrusted you with their valuables in this way is unacceptable and a clear representation of what you will get if your store your items with this company. "Please keep in mind we have over 300 customers storing their belongings here. Our rental agreement states clearly no food products allowed however we cannot verify what people bring into the building at all times which is why every storage facility including ours contracts exterminators monthly to keep rodents and insects to a minimum. I've fined people for storing 10lbs bags of rice and pasta ‍ Keep in mind every restaurant you've ever eaten has also mice no matter if it's a Michelin star or McDonald's. I was doing you a solid by offering to check the trap. I will gladly remove our lock if this is going to be an issue. Please advise. "

The movers were great, but the customer service was a mess…read more When I made my appointment, they gave me the impression my movers would come at 9, not within a window of time starting at 9. When they didn't arrive at 9, I started calling. No one answered either extension at one number. At another number, someone answered and said she'd call back with information, but never did. At 10, they started answering the first number and someone there did get me the information, and said he'd have the manager call me, but he didn't. The movers thought my appointment was between 9 and 11 and the customer service guy thought it was between 9 and 10:30. The movers arrived at 11:30 because they got lost. They also had no idea that they couldn't get their truck under the town's bridges and that driving to a place a mile away would therefore take half an hour. They also had not been informed of the deal the customer service people had given me, so they would have charged me too much had I not noticed. Fortunately, I noticed and their supervisor okayed the changes. Even without transportation, the move took an hour longer than they estimated even though I think I had less stuff to move than they expected. It was all furniture, and furniture takes forever because they have to wrap it in blankets to protect it. Just FYI. The movers did not charge me for the unexpectedly long transportation time, and they were cheerful and sympathetic. But I called the company and asked to speak to a manager again - explaining that I was moving again in a month and would not use them again if I didn't get to speak with someone - and they said he'd call me back, and he didn't. I take it this company is woefully disorganized, and I won't be using them again.

I cannot comment on the movers themselves because we never got to that!…read more We did however, have terrible customer service. Complete waste of time and energy. We had to reschedule the move from a Wednesday to a Friday because of an unexpected hospitalization. I called and set it all up on behalf of my mother, spoke with Keith. He assured me we were all set for Friday, he did not need my contact information, we were confirmed and the first appointment of the day. Friday appointment time came and went, we called at quarter past 10 and were told they rescheduled the move to Sunday because they were unable to contact my mother. Her phone was already disconnected/reconnected at new residence, she'd been hospitalized and I spoke with him and received confirmation of Friday's 10am appt. He said they still needed to confirm 24 hours prior (which was not explained when we spoke earlier in the week). They could not help us as the moving team was already on the next job. I found the customer service extremely unhelpful, we were told there would be no refund of the deposit and there was no manager to speak with regarding the entire debacle. Keith informed me the soonest they could do the move would be Sunday, but that was not acceptable to us as she had to be moved out Saturday. Keith's response was "that's the best we can do". If given the option, I prefer to give my business to small, family owned companies, but in this case, I am frustrated and disappointed. Regretfully, would not recommend this company.
