We contacted the owners, and they met us there in 10 minutes. They showed us the available storage units, and we rented two units right then and there. The Storage is brand new, climate-controlled, and as clean as a whistle. When it came time for the move, they gave us use of their moving trailer. They met us at 8 am at Creamery Brook. We loaded it up in two hours, and then they drove it down to the storage facility. All at no additional charge. These are fantastic people and provide wonderful storage units. We can not recommend them highly enough. We rate them 5 Stars for good reason.

My parents hired them to move things from their house to mine. He said things like" get away from us and let me do my," most likely because they didn't want me seeing them drop a large antique china closet 3x. I was in my house I can be whenever and say what I want. They are getting paid and even my neighbors heard him. He told my mom. My parents had another move already scheduled with them different gentlemen showed up this time thank goodness but before they even started moving they asked for their tip! I've tried to contact the office several times especially about the first gentleman's behavior cuz it was almost abusive and nobody answers and you cannot get a hold of anyone. I'm guessing cuz they don't want these type of phone calls. The three men today said that the company tells them to ask for the tip In the beginning and my parents did buy them lunch as well and I was going to let it go but this is the second horrible experience in the first one the man was actually verbally abusive to a degree where I had to actually stick up for myself and yell. If they did a good job it might be worth it but I'm not sure that any of them actually are experienced in this I've had several moves myself and have never witnessed people dropping furniture like this or asking for a tip or being rude. I know I can't act like that at my job that's for sure!

I used PODS during a recent move. Is the rental fee expensive? Yes. Are there additional pickup and…read moredelivery fees? Yup. Is it hella convenient having your stuff securely stored right in your driveway to conveniently access? Absolutely!! Let's be clear. PODS is based on convenience and there's a price to pay for that. I booked my storage unit over the phone and that worked best for me. The website is great to manage billing and eventually arrange pickup but I felt more confident speaking to a person to get things rolling. Was there a long wait to speak to someone?? Yes indeedy. But I'm finding that long waits are the norm these days with the current pandemic staffing issues just about everywhere. The person who assisted me over the phone was pleasant and helpful. I clearly understood what was included along with fees. The delivery was exactly as promised and the gentleman who delivered was an absolute peach. It's quite an operation getting that storage unit placed but he navigated it like a pro! (P.s. - my kids were entertained for a good half hour watching the production) I will say the monthly rental price motivated me to get that unit squared away and emptied. Scheduling pickup was a breeze and they arrived at the time promised. I'd recommend and use again...

Was told we had 30 days to load and unload…read more Was told it takes about a day to pick up and about 3 days to get dropped off seemed reasonable. Loaded it and they didn't pick it up for a week. Then took another week to deliver it. They had the pod half the time I paid for. They dropped it off with 2 days left in the month. Promptly charge me an additional month "rental" on the 1st. I unloaded it by the 2nd...funny though when they were told it was empty they could pick it up early in under 3 days. Go another way. This isn't it. Terrible service.

On my son's 2nd day of work, during his "training/orientation", he packed and loaded a house from 7a - 4:30p and then drove 2 hours to a house in NY to unload it! At 10 pm, they told him if he didn't help unpack then they wouldn't give a ride home AND that he couldn't leave because he needed an escort off the "base". He panicked and called us and we ended up getting the West Point police to escort him to the school exit. At 11:30p he got an Uber to Fishkill, NY where his dad picked him up and they got back to West Hartford at 2:00a. It was a horrible experience for him and makes me really question how they run their business. Also, they weren't even going to pay him for the 29 hours he worked over those 2 days! We finally badgered them enough that they paid him for 16 hours...so add what I have to think is wage theft to the list of questionable tactics. I would never recommend anyone work there or hire them to move ANYTHING!
