July 9th, 2020 Berger Recycling 126 Front Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860 Dear Sirs/Madams My name is Rady Lim. On July 8th, I drove my car to unload the cardboards twice but there was 5% of cardboards with plastic. The last, I dropped them of and I was about to leave. One of the worker drove forklift with a big bale of cardboard to obstruct to my vehicle. I was feeling so nervous this guy terribly did that to stop my vehicle and I felt my life was so in danger and so shocked and I braked down to see what was happening that I really didn't know the 5% of the cardboards with the plastic was issue. This guy stepped down and waved his hand back and I came out of my vehicle and I kept my 6 feet away distance and I told him to cover your mask and calmed down and explained to me what the matter was. The another tall guy came out with a wild character. I explained both of them that I was taking the plastic out from the cardboards and I was requesting them why other people had cardboards with the plastic and why yo did not explain to them to take out the plastic, they responded that they paid $12. Oh, ok I really appreciated that they wouldn't charge me but my mind still did not make sense why their rule did not set fairly and I was again requesting them not acting to endanger people life because they didn't know what the issue was and point out to them to make sure they could understand and they said you were not the first time here and I replied back this was a second time today and a third time I came here to drop off and I did not have issue but I now had issue that I did not know because I dropped off the same thing. I would sincerely request them heir obstruction to vehicle why vehicle moved its wheels and a forklift with a big bale of cardboard is considered a so deadly weapon that can kill people right away at the site because of the cardboards with plastic that they think to trash their recycling place. Since they charged me $5 to drop off the cardboards, I was not going to place for almost 10 months since November 2019 but I recently went there I heard this place was open not to charge the cardboards but I didn't know there was a new rule applied but however I discovered my life is almost lost and so frightened at that place on July 8th, 2020. If the recycling business charged the people money to recycle, I do not agree this is a recycle. As they are in the service business, I appreciate your service to serve the community and please accept my apology to make they feel I trash their place. Used to take my stuff to another place, then on the advice of a friend decided to call around for prices, the girl on the phone was so nice, and she put me in contact with one of the owners for prices. When I came in the girl actually remembered talking to me on the phone and had me speak to someone about getting better prices because I had a lot of stuff. The young owner told me to make sure I always come into the office when I come in so I can get better pricing because I bring in big loads. I thought it was just a one time deal, then when I came in a few months later, they actually remembered who I was. That was pretty cool. I was going to the other place for years, and they could give a shit who I was. If you want to feel like just a number, go somewhere else. I like being treated like someone special. really cool place, a lot going on, they take everything from scrap metal to waste paper and from all kinds of customers and businesses, they have been around for over 100 years so they must know what they are doing! A owner is always there, the payout girl is funny and nice to deal with. I always notice repeat customers on a first name basis w. the employees, and so that is always a good sign! read more

I work for a sign company and was doing a job in the area, so I was instructed to drive our load to Berger after we were finished. I don't have a ton of trailer experience under my belt, so I struggled to get my truck and trailer straight enough on the scale to get weighed. The yard man and supervisor were super helpful. They took everything we brought them. Super positive experience. read more
