I went into my storage unit today to put a few things in there. As I was leaving, I had a few very…read moresmall items that I was going to put in their dumpster. As I approached I saw a sign that said dumpster is for management use only, so I put my stuff back into my car and as I was leaving the woman that works they named Missy came out screaming "hey you!" I proceeded to roll down my window and she started yelling at me again about the dumpster. I said yes I know I didn't throw anything in there. As I was driving off, she started yelling at me threatening to charge me a $500 fine! Also, the last couple of times I have called she has been really nasty over the phone. I called corporate to complain and I spoke to a woman named "Azure." She was not empathetic at all and did not take my complaint seriously. She seemed annoyed and irritated that I even called. I have had my storage unit there for years and pay $300 a month and I can't believe how bad their customer service is all around.

While the gentleman who did my paperwork for Guardian was pleasant enough, and the rate was competitive, I experienced an unrecoverable loss of a red leather chair, to what appeared to be rodent(s) chewing at it. There were a few newly purchased packing boxes which also suffered the same type of damage. When I brought this to the attention of Brad, the manager of the facility, he told me about the facility's insurance coverage and pointed me in their direction. (I guess that was easier for him than just telling me what he surely already knew.) I filled out a multiple page claim form online and provided clear evidence with pictures. About a week later I get a form letter back telling me that I'd be covered for a natural disaster, but if their storage unit had rodent infestation resulting in damage to my property, that was not covered. Moral of the story would be to inspect the unit thoroughly; ask the unlikely questions; and get representations in writing. Not a good experience.

No answer, but right after hanging up I received a text from that number. Here's how that conversation went: People's Moving: Hi, I missed a call from this number? Me: Hi! I had spoken to someone on this number from people's movers before? People's Moving: Yes how can I help you? People's Moving: I'm sorry I'm driving Me: No worries! I'm meant to have a uhaul ubox delivery and unload this morning and just wanted to confirm Me (twenty minutes later): They were meant to be here 15 minutes ago & the uhaul storage facility says the box hasn't been picked up. Me (twenty more minutes later): Hello? Those last two text messages weren't delivered. I also tried calling, and after one ring my call went to voicemail. In other words, they blocked my phone number. Movinghelp.com and Uhaul also tried to contact them on my behalf, to no avail. So 4 hours after they were scheduled to arrive, I'm trying to find a moving company available for same day service. This company is run by complete incompetence, if it is run at all. Save your money, time, and stress levels, hire someone else from the start.
