Careless and Unresponsive Movers…read more I hired Kilroy Bros to move my parents to a senior living facility in April of 2024. It has taken me some time to write this review because of things discovered after the move and their lack of resolution. While the person I contacted (Stacy) was very friendly upfront and even helped my parents sort through some stuff upfront, things went downhill from there. On moving day, the movers were cordial but even as they were moving things I noticed multiple boxes stacked on top of other boxes that said "fragile" as they were wheeled into the apartment and they were visibly being crushed at the edges. Once we got everything in and opened things up, we saw that several items had been broken either due to poor wrapping (a service paid for by us and provided by them) and/or because of lack of care in the moving process, These included several glasses, a vase and an antique tea pot that my mother loved among others. As we unpacked, we also realized that among several items that were missing was my mothers jewelry box , which along with everyday jewelry had several sentimental and irreplaceable items in it including both of my grandmothers' wedding rings. There were also several other items that we noticed missing in the weeks since after getting 100% unpacked. We notified Stacy of the broken items as well as the missing jewelry on the spot and she was verbally apologetic and even took pictures of the tea pot with the brand name as she said sometimes they can find these online and that they would investigate. Since that time we never heard a thing back from her despite multiple emails and phone messages. I must admit that I was at first a bit skeptical that anyone would have taken stuff from an elderly couple. However, after combing through everything and knowing that my mothers jewelry box was there the day before the move (and going back to their old house to make sure it wasn't somehow left behind) as well as being ghosted by the person who said they would help resolve it, I felt it was worth writing this review. Whether someone stole the items or not, they clearly broke several items and acknowledged it, and then did NOTHING about it. Frankly, I rarely write reviews even after subpar service because I like to just move on. However, since that time my mother has expressed her regrets about even making the move because of the loss of these cherished items and that is heartbreaking to hear (this is after she has also personally reached out to Kilroy several times with zero response). Consistent with several other reviews I would warn people against using their services as they will sound great upfront but service and follow-up are somewhere between negligent and criminal.

I got a lot of confusing information from their rep Regis, mistakes on the quotes, and then a lot of attitude from him as well. I used Poseidon for relocating my furniture while i had my floors done. Nico and jay made sure the same guys came back to move everything back up to the second floor even though i had to reschedule the move back in date due to flooring issues. Mohammed disassembled and reassembled my complicated fridge both to move it downstairs and move it back up which was such a relief due to the complicated nature of the fridge. Pick up was fine , but I was very confused . 1) the pick up truck was a massive 18 wheeler that this company must've contracted out. Nowhere did it say "Poseidon moving" . 2) the men who helped load the trucks were from "Hidalgo movers" again nowhere did it say they were from Poseidon moving 3) once I got the keys to my apt, and spoke to my landlord about that big 18 wheeler coming by, he said absolutely not. So I informed the company the day before " hey yall can't bring that 18 wheeeler in you will have to transfer my items into a smaller moving truck" . They said they understood , however the day of the move I see the 18 wheeler at the entrance of the apartment complex blocking the entrance . It was extremely embarrassing. Then some two dudes come by in a ford truck and trailer . With plates from Alabama . Again I have no idea who they were , they didn't have any Poseidon moving logos. Furthermore they asked for water?! And I had none obviously . 4) my boxes came in smashed, and I'm somehow missing two items that I literally saw them load in the truck : my piano stand and my towel rack. I'm not sure how these items could've gotten lost if my items were never transferred out of that initial 18 wheeler.
