Cape Cod Moving & Storage went above and beyond moving my dad from his long-time home to his new townhouse. The crew including John, Anthony, Craig, Doug and the rest of the guys were all personable, efficient, communicative and patient. Each mover took the time to ensure placement of furniture, boxes, and over-sized items - they helped us place all the large rugs down exactly where we wanted them before moving any furniture into the house. They also had to disassemble and reassemble a Sleep Number California King bed, as well as ensure it was functioning properly for immediate use. I have moved up and down the east coast five times to several different states. I have used five different moving companies, including some national firms. Cape Cod Moving & Storage was by far the most successful moving crew to date. They clearly take pride in their work. They show care and concern for their customers and their belongings. As a woman, I was particularly relieved to be treated by the entire crew with respect. This has not always been the case - and it made a huge impression on me. I used Cape Cod Movers for an on Cape move between Mashpee and Falmouth. After interviewing and researching several other firms in the area I quickly decided to go with them. Russell was very professional in giving me an estimate of how much the move would cost and answered numerous questions regarding storage fees and particular items to be moved. The office staff, particularly Kristene, was very helpful insuring a scheduled move for both the closing on a home in Mashpee and a subsequent move to a condo in Falmouth. She also helped identify boxes to use for more difficult items like mirrors and framed pictures. My entire household was put into storage for two months and everything was delivered intact and in pristine shape. More importantly, the crew of movers assigned to the job was mindful of all items including family antiques and artwork. Each item was individually wrapped and unwrapped with great attention to detail. The crew worked tirelessly to insure that care was given to the placement of all delivered furniture. Can't say enough good things about this company and their crew. They moved us out of a house in Plymouth, 2 trucks and 4 workers: Harrison, Tim, Kyle and Bean. Very well organized, they wrapped all the crucial stuff in plastic and padded blankets. Then took all our stuff to their storage warehouse in Hyannis for a month while we waited to close on a house in western MA. Then on delivery day they showed up, same crew and unloaded and unwrapped everything. Not one piece damaged and on top of that they were very engaging and simply professional. Moving is stressful enough without worrying about all your belongings. The fact that this company has its own storage facility is a major plus and the professionalism of the crew was simply outstanding. I selected Cape Cod moving and storage for my recent move from Carver to Plymouth! Dan, Nate, Ryan, and Kyle B. Were nothing less than phenomenal! They were kind, polite, and caring! My move was a bit deceiving because of the number of heavy totes that were included! It took Much longer than expected, however, the boys hung in there until the bitter end. They never complained, they continued to have smiles on their faces, and they worked extremely hard! Dont let these people in your home! Crews are loaded with drug users and management is absent at best. The owner is rude, unorganized, and has the business savy of a 4th grade special needs child. The office is ran by a less than pleasent women who recently made headlines for fraud and theft (shes the one your giving your credit card number to) When I came home expecting the job to be near completion I found my fiance in tears, my marble table top destroyed, and 3 of 4 workers smoking cigarettes in the driveway (the 4th had left...i was still charged for 4 workers) when I brought my complaints to the office I was ignored by the women, presumably the one with legal issues, and when finally contacting the owner Douglas I was met with hostility as he basically told me tough luck, they had already ran my card and there was nothing I could do. Oh yea... and a bottle of rum and a bottle gin mysteriously disapeared. This place is criminal. read more

We recently relocated across town in Harwich, a move that turned into a logistical nightmare when we found out last minute that our closing had been pushed from Friday to Saturday. The moving crew showed up promptly on Saturday as scheduled, and I greeted them immediately with the news that they'd have to stow our belongings on the truck until Monday afternoon, when our title would go on record and we could legally unload everything in our new home. we hired Cape Cod moving to move us from our current home to a newly purchased one on the Cape. Not only was the move smooth and very reasonably priced (all other quotes that I got were much higher than theirs) but they did not require a deposit to secure the date. The 2 young men that moved us, Bobby and Kyle, were not only professional but they were also hard working and very careful not to damage the home or the furniture. Cape Cod Moving just moved my parents from their home of 50 years. We were very pleased with the service - Russell Simmons came out ahead of time and walked the home and gave us an estimate. Because our family ended up having time to do some of the packing, the cost came in below Russell's estimate.
