Can't recommend this company highly enough!…read more I had to do a last-minute move, taking a fairly small amount of stuff (bedroom plus a few boxes) to storage. Had to obtain both movers and a storage facility in the matter of a few days. Sachin, the owner, was very responsive, polite and helpful, including recommending specific folks to talk to at a storage facility nearby which I ultimately used. The movers -- Adam, Chuck, and Tom -- called right on time to tell me they were on their way to my place, at exactly the agreed upon time. They arrived at my place right on time. All three were very professional, friendly, polite, cheerful, and clearly put their experience to good use. The move was swift as could be. Not a ding on anything. They actually made it seem like this was easy -- and I'm sure it wasn't! These guys REALLY went above and beyond ... When we were about to leave for the storage facility, I discovered that my car battery was dead (worst possible timing!). These guys actually pushed my car, physically themselves, so that they could give me a jump from the truck. Way beyond the call of duty! When we arrived at the storage facility, Chuck was particularly helpful in helping me get the best bang for my buck and not over-paying for space I didn't need. He used his experience to eyeball my stuff and let me know which size compartment I needed -- and he was exactly right. As a single woman with some physical limitations due to an autoimmune disease, I can't overstate how much I appreciated how kind and extra helpful these movers were to me. Of course tips are not expected or asked for, but I gave what I could afford -- only wish I could have afforded to give them more. They certainly deserved it. This review is so glowing it doesn't even sound real to me, ha -- but this was the best moving experience I've ever had. Hire this company, and ask for these three guys, and you will be all set.

I have moved using moving companies several times in my life, and this was by far my worst…read moreexperience. Do not use this company For the low low price of $1k, I got a move that took 7 hours to go literally around the corner. Things started off badly when it took an additional half hour for the movers to find parking (in the city that they're located in), because they hadn't requested a permit. The crew, "the best crew I have" of three was a 50+ 'foreman' who refused to take apart furniture, a vaping mover who kept complaining to us about the foreman, and the third (just another $20!) mover upsold to us who had clearly never moved anything before. They all disappeared for 20 or more minutes at a time, multiple times, occasionally having to move their truck. Things went from bad to worse when the foreman refused to take apart an ikea couch. I ended up taking it apart myself, in the hallway of my building, after a wasted half hour of him trying to shove it into the elevator despite my increasingly desperate protests. My partner and I ended up disassembling and moving our own kitchen island after the crew refused to do so as well. Our move finally ended, in the rain, seven hours after we had started. When I gave this feedback to the owner of the company, he brushed it aside, and charged me for the full 7 hours, including the wasted time involving the couch and parking. My move took twice as long as necessary because of the crew's lack of ability to function as a unit, and the foreman's insistence that nothing be taken apart. If you have an option, i strongly recommend going elsewhere.

They never showed up or called me to tell me they were running late etc. So I called them and asked if they were coming. The guy who answered couldn't believe the estimator hadn't showed up and told me that he would call me right back. Well, the estimator called me back and gave me some lame excuse as to why he didn't show up (no apology...and if there was a reason he couldn't show up, common courtesy is you CALL THE CUSTOMER!) Still, he asks if we can reschedule for an hour later. I hesitantly agreed. Fast forward to when he is supposed to come the second time. He still isn't here 20 minutes after the agreed upon time. Still NO CALL. So I called the company to cancel and he actually answered. I said "Well, you didn't show up a second time so I'm not using your company." He said "Well, I'm only like 5 minutes away but if you want to cancel, ok" I don't think he was only 5 minutes away! So...they won't be getting my business. And too bad for them because it would have been a lucrative one.

He seemed most interested in making sure I was comfortable with my move and had all my questions answered, rather than only figuring out how much money I would be paying him. We moved a 3 floor townhouse worth of big ticket furniture, boxes, and other odds and ends (such as an elliptical machine) near New Hampshire, to a 3 floor house in Boston. The quoting process and their inventory system process was a breeze to use, which helped them facilite the correct sized moving truck to be used. They were very accommodating with our moving period/schedule. The communication was very clear and concise, with very prompt responses via email whenever we had a question or concern. We honestly set it, and forget it until moving day arrived. The day before moving day, we received the timeframe window the movers would come. Day of the move, the truck and three movers came. They went over the cost breakdown with us again, so that there were no surprises for us (there were none!). We gave them a quick walk-through of our place and what was moving. They formulated their moving plan, and how they'd load the moving truck, and quickly packed up and moved everything into the truck. The movers wrapped up all the big ticket furniture in blankets and taped it to avoid any dents/damage. They were also very polite, and asked for permission, when they needed a quick break (3 flights of stairs is a lot of work!). Once they we done, they drove over to Boston for the unload process. Again, they were very quick and efficient. We went through a walkthrough in the Boston house, for them to formulate what would go where, and off to the races they went. Some of the big ticket items (Queen size beds w/ headboards, antique hutches, dressers), I had concerns about fitting into bending stairways... they were able to alleviate. We had a large L shaped couch, they removed (and later put back on) the legs, and were able to navigate the tight turns going up stairs to make it fit! Once they were done with the move, they went over the cost breakdown one more time before payment (again no surprises from our end with it). I would highly recommend M&M Moving. Everyone we interacted with from their end, during this moving process, was very professional, nice, courteous, and efficient.
