While they were timely and polite, everything else couldn't have been worse. The damage to my household belongings was incredible - as if they were catapulting the pieces onto and off the truck. In addition to this ignominy, the total cost was double what a national carrier would charge...I used them before on xcountry moves with no problems but it seems the company was sold a while back with these results. Wow! Caveat emptor! ZERO/I mean '0' stars... Gone baby, GONE.

I was told by more than one source that they have my headboard at the wharehouse and it was just missed being loaded on the truck. I already paid for them to deliver it. The price was lower than any other company I called and it was more than reasonable. Well, I tried to give these guys my business. We are planning a long haul move. I set up a time for…read morethem to come and estimate what it would cost for a full pack. They never showed up or called me to tell me they were running late etc. So I called them and asked if they were coming. The guy who answered couldn't believe the estimator hadn't showed up and told me that he would call me right back. Well, the estimator called me back and gave me some lame excuse as to why he didn't show up (no apology...and if there was a reason he couldn't show up, common courtesy is you CALL THE CUSTOMER!) Still, he asks if we can reschedule for an hour later. I hesitantly agreed. Fast forward to when he is supposed to come the second time. He still isn't here 20 minutes after the agreed upon time. Still NO CALL. So I called the company to cancel and he actually answered. I said "Well, you didn't show up a second time so I'm not using your company." He said "Well, I'm only like 5 minutes away but if you want to cancel, ok" I don't think he was only 5 minutes away! So...they won't be getting my business. And too bad for them because it would have been a lucrative one.

They made sure my (pregnant & anxious) wife was very relaxed and comfortable seeing all our valuables wrapped and loaded up, quite safely and securely might I add. They got to our 2 bedroom apartment right on time, and even though we had quite a bit more than they anticipated (definitely a miscalculation on my part) they came more than prepared with extra truck space, blankets, tape, wrap, and more. We moved into a single family home and they delicately, quickly, and safely put everything where we envisioned, reassembled everything perfectly, and didn't complain once when my wife had them move things just a hair here, there, and everywhere. It really made it SO easy for us to get settled in and just be able to focus on our baby coming. I would recommend ManyHands to any and everyone in North Shore, Boston, South Shore, really anywhere in New England that they cover. I hopefully won't be moving again for a long time, but if I was I'd absolutely call them first.

He seemed most interested in making sure I was comfortable with my move and had all my questions answered, rather than only figuring out how much money I would be paying him. He gave us a binding estimate, and though it came in a bit higher than some of the other movers, I knew it could not go any higher and there weren't going to be any additional surprise costs. Alan got us a professional crew to pack us up. And for our move to Canada, he connected us with an experienced driver who made sure we were comfortable every step of the way until our final destination in Toronto. Everything arrived on time and in great shape at our final destination. The move could not have gone smoother. I would highly recommend using them for your move.

(Focus specializes in piano moving, and I needed my childhood piano + a few other miscellaneous items transported from Massachusetts to New York.) Owner Liviu responded to my initial quote query (which was competitive) nearly immediately and within the hour confirmed he'd be able to meet my timing needs, despite the holiday season. Furthermore, though I provided a 5-6 day window, he offered to complete the move on MY ideal date. Sweet. What was great about the move itself? My mom indicated that Liviu and his right hand man showed up at her home at the exact appointed hour and that they carefully packed and protected all of the items that were to be trucked. In fact she let me know that Liviu and crew "were the best movers" she'd ever used and that she'd be using them for her own upcoming entire-home move. A bold statement, considering she's moved a LOT. Liviu was also a fab communicator. He kept me informed of his whereabouts via text message, sent email reminders and arrived on time at my delivery location as well. Additionally, Focus stuck to its quote (and then some, as Liviu delivered a couple of other less heavy items on the house without a quote adjustment), damaged nothing in transit and carefully yet swiftly manned my heavy upright Yamaha into its new abode.
