The food is generally good but definitely on the expensive side. I got the mushroom pasta with chickpea meatballs, and that was $32 for a pretty regular size portion. Also got the lentil soup. I really liked the mushroom pasta but felt the lentil soup was too heavy on the coconut milk. The drinks were the standout here. We tried the the passionfruit sour and the dorda smash. The dorda drink was like an alcoholic chocolate milk basically, 10/10. The passion fruit sour was also a great drink with a perfect balance of sweet and sour. Good service and nice bar and table seating. Overall a good spot especially for drinks, just on the pricey side for food!

Came to Aliment for dinner before a show at the Masonic and found it pretty tasty! We ordered the fried chicken plate, brussel sprouts, and truffle fries to share. It was just enough to hold us over and ensure that we weren't in a food coma during the show. My favorite was the brussel sprouts. The carmelized fish sauce and furikake combo was sooo good! I'm going to need to reverse engineer this for home cooking! The chicken was next. I really enjoyed the crispiness of the panko and the bacon mac and cheese was also solid! The greens also added a nice bitterness to the dish to balance it all out. Bringing up the back was the truffle fries. The flavor was good but the fries were limp and that's just unacceptable for fries. Service was also a bit of a hit and miss. Maybe it was because we were upstairs but it was almost impossible to flag down staff unless they were actually present on the floor. We had originally wanted some coffee to end the meal but by the time staff came around we absolutely had to leave to catch the show. Still, the experience was certainly good enough that I'll keep it in mind for future events nearby.

My wife and I had a really good experience eating lunch here. We found Aliment on Yelp. We were looking for something that was walking distance from our hotel. My wife made a reservation, but I believe they also welcome walk in as well. We came in and were kindly greeted by our server Christine (who we later found out was the owner). We originally had our reservation for indoor, but asked if we can dine outdoors, to enjoy the nice weather. The menu is very simple but offers plenty of food and drinks options to choose from. We ordered some items from the lunch menu specials, which include most of their menu items, but for half the portion and price. We got a bunch of different items to try. Everything was good and delicious (the brussels sprouts and chicken wings are a must) The spicy margaritas was one of the best we ever had (thanks to our bartender Alan). Overall Aliment was a very good restaurant to come and have a quick bite in The City. The entire staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The food was good and delicious. We're definitely looking forward to coming back to try other menu items.

I always pass by this place and was so glad I finally stopped to try it! I came here for a little girls night and the server was super sweet, his wife also worked there and they were just the cutest couple. The drinks were delicious and the outdoor seating was surprisingly comfortable. The food was so good, the curry risotto at first felt like too interesting of a choice but I was so pleasantly surprised - probably my favorite dish. The steak was cooked to perfect and cut so easily. I will definitely be back!

Second time here. Service is great, and the food is high quality. The pork chops were very good, and they have a small but quality list of local craft beer. We went on a Thursday for dinner and they were lightly busy so we were seated immediately. Nice upscale vibe inside but not too snobby.

Aliment is a modern, two-story restaurant serving up New American fare. I was glad I made an indoor reservation for a Friday night because some walk-ins were getting turned away at the door. We started with the brussels sprouts appetizer. They were crispy and crunchy with good flavor. For our mains, we opted to share the grilled salmon and the Kabocha curry risotto. The mango salsa really carried the salmon dish. The last two inches of the asparagus were inedible and stringy. The flavors of the curry part of the risotto were complex and savory. The dish felt a little like they ladled a curry on top of risotto rice. I wished the two parts of the dish married better. Based on other reviews, it seems like we should've gone with the steak or the pork chop. I feel that for the price, everything was just okay.

Small restaurant with big windows and tall ceilings. We were in the even cozier upstairs area, with a bathroom very close by. Our cocktails were pretty and tasty. 4 stars only because there weren't any salt or pepper shakers on the table, we weren't offered any fresh ground pepper for the Alfredo, and my picky phobic husband asked for no pickles but got pickles. You can take the pickle off the bun but you can't take the juice out of the bun.

After wandering around looking for a place to eat, we happened upon Aliment. It looked like a good place and had good reviews so we decided to try it. It's not very big, but it was quite nice and not noisy at all, even though the bar was full and well over half the tables filled. We each an ordered old fashioned and I ordered fried chicken and my colleague ordered a burger. The burger was quite good but the highly recommended fried chicken was highly mediocre. It was over cooked. Not dry, but not juicy either. It was a little spicy, but not bad. The Mac and cheese was pretty good. The chicken tasted like they made it yesterday and warmed it up in the microwave. The breading wasn't crispy and as stated, the chicken was dry. If I go back, I won't order the fried chicken.

Umm.... incredible food. Incredible service, such cool staff. I'm having such a good time :)

Truffle Fries - 3.5 stars. Great flavor, but quite thin and crispy. Wed dinner 2025-02-26

Pretty nice dinner spot, I chose this because it had a semi-private space for our group of 11. Reservations made by phone a few weeks in advance. They said they would put us in the back room where we may have to share it with one other table, which was fine. They ended up putting us in the upstairs foyer, which I liked a little better because it was more open and we had a bird's eye view of the restaurant. The service was pretty good, our servers were all friendly, the bartender a little flirty. * Passion Fruit Sour ($16) - 3.5 stars. Egg white foam was a little weak, and the drink could use more of a punch in flavor. * Spicy Mango Margarita ($16) - 4 stars. My co-worker got this, I tried it, and liked it much better for the kick of spice! * Truffle Fries - 3.5 stars. Great flavor, but quite thin and crispy. * Curry Risotto - 2.5 stars. Very undercooked, pretty bland.

Been here twice now and both my experiences were very pleasant. I love the cute and cozy vibe of this place. The food is amazing!! Standouts are the mussels and sea bass. The wings are also so flavorful and delicious. The brussel sprouts are a must order. Service is great. Everyone is so friendly and attentive. You probably wouldn't go wrong with any thing you order here.

    Sam Q.

The burger was good (decent size and well-seasoned, with a nice bun) but the highlight to me was definitely the brussel sprouts. They were cooked to perfection - charred but still flavorful!

We just Yelped for salad and this place was recommended. It was NOT a disappointment. It was amazing. The Brussels sprouts as an appetizer was AMAZING! Best one I've tried. The salmon salad was great. The fried chicken was good. Our waiter was the best. Very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. Good vibe.

I was craving a refreshing craft cocktail and got one with the Green Emmanuelle. I liked the cardamom in the Beauty Mark as well that my partner ordered. We ordered shishito peppers and mushroom bahn mi sliders. The mushroom bahn mi sliders were amazing - the quality fillings and taste of the soft bun - I was unexpectedly hit with a bite of spice from maybe jalapeño seeds left but didn't sour my experience. The shishito peppers ended up being extremely spicy as well, those are usually just a few spicy and not the majority. The roasted lemon and salt was a wonderful combo but just too spicy to eat. However, the server very kindly removed it from our bill without us asking. We order the crostini because we were still hungry and that was an absolute hit. Delicious med-soft crostini with luscious berries and sweet honey. I didn't care my hands got sticky as it was soooo good! Great experience, I would be weary if the peppers as I'm a bit spice-intolerant but everything else was spot-on.

Every drink had 10,000 ingredients, and most of them did not work together. If the drink did work together, you just tasted nothing because everything blended together and you couldn't taste any special or fun ingredients.  Unfortunately, I don't think this spot is worth looking for.

Seeing that it was named one of the top 50 best bars in North American, we had to check it out! We came in a Thursday night in mid-April about 9:45 PM. They have security outside thar checks IDs & also manages the queue in case the bar gets too crowded. We had no issues getting in, but there were zero indoor seats available - both the bar & table seating. Thankfully, they have a really cozy & well-lit patio area. The waitress let us know that even the outdoor patio has table-side service, so we made ourselves comfortable on the outdoor bench & within seconds she had brought us waters & cocktail menus. Weather outside was really nice, so I'm glad we actually sat outside. Each cocktail is $20, which definitely is a little steep, but I think the creativity, quality, & prestige of being named a top 50 bar supports the price. Each part of the menu is organized by liquor ie whiskey, vodka, brandy, gin, etc. We tried 4 drinks total. I only took menu photos of the pages we ordered from but they have a lot more selections. We ordered the Kung Fu Pandan, Silky Street, Rice Rice Baby, & Tropical Gangsta. We had some favorites over others, but all were very well crafted! The drinks came out pretty quickly considering how busy it was. The only hiccup was our final drink took quite a while. Turns out the ticket machine malfunctioned & deleted orders put in & caused a back-up. The waitress was so apologetic & ended up comp-ing 2 drinks, which she definitely didn't have to but it speaks volumes to the high standards they hold themselves to & their customer service.
