Gyro Lamb Salad
Joyce R.

I was looking for a legit Mediterranean restaurant and I found one. I was greeted and it was explained how to order. I decided on the gyro lamb salad. And the portion was HUGE. My side was humus and warm flat bread. I was going to leave but was drawn into the eating area. It looked like I was in another country. The decor was like being on vacation. I definitely recommend this as a get away lunch spot.

Ali Baba platter Fruit Salad Tabouli Three Beans Salad Hummus and Pita Ezme Salad and Pita

Soooo... I am sad to leave a 3* as no doubt the food is probably good. The problem is that you ruin the flavor of everything when all of the salads are piled on top of each other. I can't tell the tabouli from three bean or anything else. Unfortunately it's one of my favorites. I was looking forward to it, by the way. Everything is mixed together, except for fruit and hummus. The falafel hurts my feelings as it wants to be good but seems a lil over cooked and cold. I'm sorry. Please separate the salads into containers. Please!!!

I believe I know my Medertanian food very well and I must tell you all..... Ali Baba is da bomb! Lol..... I got the Lamb Gyro combo with Medertanian pasta/ feta cheese & Greek salad! I got all of this for $16.00 plus tax. Chef Ahmet and Manager Jojo made a killer lunch for myself and had to get a box to take half of it home. Mmmmm- yummy!

Mediterranean platter with feta pasta salad, dolma, falafel, bean salad, ezme, hummus, baba ghanoush, tabouli, and greens salad

An amazing hole-in-the-wall place with extraordinary vegetarian and veggie options. The $14 Mediterranean platter is absolutely massive. It comes with a pita, dolma, falafel, bean salad, tabouli, greens salad, ezme (a bell pepper / tomatoey sauce), hummus, baba ghanoush, and feta pasta salad. It is so big that 3 people could split it as a MEAL. Almost everything tasted yummy and flavorful and healthy. I wasn't a fan of the pasta salad but otherwise loved the humungous portions and variety of options. I would absolutely come back here again. The baklava (doesn't seem made in store) was very soggy and syrupy so would skip. The man at the counter was very kind and generous. Seating is in another room with comfortable pillows and benches. Very cozy.

Lamb bowl

I was in Atlanta for a couple days, staying near Little Five Points. Friday night I took a trip to the Mediterranean from Ali Baba. I picked up a large, delicious bowl of perfectly spiced and marinated lamb, fresh tomatoes, lettuce, and feta in yellow rice from the restaurant. Huge pools of Babaganush and hummus were on the side to drop the lamb in. Combined, this was such a special, local dinner treat! And definitely large enough portions of deliciousness for at least two people! If you're local to Atlanta, this place should be on your order list on at least a monthly basis.

This time we were greeted at the desk by Emma, the Assistant Mgr. who poured both of us a glass of their complimentary pink champagne and said she was delighted to see us again. She seated us in a very comfy booth, gave us the menus and soon after we were greeted by our server, Luke, who we found out was also a sommelier. He was very helpful in answering our questions on menu items. He took our cocktail orders and promptly brought them to us. We decided to try The Aegean which serves 2 or more for $59 per person. This includes a Complimentary assortment of Greek spreads & grilled pita, two appetizers plus Greek salad & their Signature Grilled Whole Fish which is served with braised kale and Greek Style Lemon Potatoes. We opted for the Arctic Char and all dishes were brought in a timely manner and were deliciously scrumptious. We also got to have a nice chat with General Manager, Garrett Geiler, who told us some interesting tidbits about his working journey at Kyma. All in all, it was a memorable night on the town and another fine dining experience at a restaurant that has a warm and welcoming ambience. One last comment about something that blew us away happened as we were leaving the building. When we came out of the door, the valet parking attendant was already bringing our car to us. My husband asked how he knew we were leaving and he said he saw us in the lobby and recognized my husband's shirt, so he just decided to go ahead and bring the car around to the entrance. That is something that has never EVER happened to us before and it topped off an already incredible evening at Kyma.

The meal was phenomenal: Whole Lavraki (Greek Sea Bass): Perfectly grilled, extraordinarily fresh, and delicate. Served simply with capers, lemon, and olive oil, it highlights the quality of the fish without overwhelming it. Absolutely a signature dish for a reason. Greek Tomato Salad: Crisp, ripe tomatoes, peppers, olives, and a rich block of feta--so refreshing and classic. Lobster Pasta: My friend ordered this, and I have to admit, serious food envy kicked in! The pasta was perfectly cooked, coated in a luscious, flavorful sauce, and topped with generous, juicy pieces of fresh lobster. Kyma continues to set the standard for Greek seafood in Atlanta. Always an incredible experience--can't wait for my next visit!

The menu said there was no red sauce, but I didn't think there was no sauce period. Apparently instead of a sauce, the base was cheese so it was a thick layer. I loved it! Very unique. You definitely get a bang for your buck with tons of meat on this pizza: pepperoni, sausage, Canadian bacon, hamburger. I was surprised that the village salad was pretty tasty despite not having any greens. It was a well balanced dish. And not being a vegetable fan, I really dug this.

We tried the $30 three-course menu (this is offered Sunday - Thursday) so we could try a variety of items. Between us, we tried the the spanakopita, the melitsanosalata (eggplant) spread, the true Greek salad ($1 extra to sub for the other salad option), the fried cod, and the shrimp saganaki. Everything was delicious and felt fresh and vibrant. We especially loved the eggplant spread, true Greek salads, and the spanakopita. The three-course option felt like a great value as well, as many of the mains are around the $30 mark on their own. Our server (I believe her name was Caroline) was super friendly and welcoming as well. We can't wait to return to try more of the menu!

I had this bookmarked for a while and decided it was time to check it out for date night. Hubby ordered the beef sticks with grape leaves and I ordered the burger with a side of fries. We started out with the saganaki (flaming cheese). Everything was delicious with the exception of the grape leaves (can't recall the official name of this dish). I told hubby that some reviews had mentioned they were soggy and not too good. He agreed with those reviewers and would not recommend. The saganaki was both literal and metaphorical fire. The pita points it was served with were crunchy, which was pleasantly surprising. We both did wish there was some kind of sweetness to complement the cheese like a fruit jam or something, but it was delicious regardless. The beef on the sticks was tasty as was the burger but the star of the whole show were the fries. Hubby typically does not like fries but he loved these and was happy that I let him share them with me. Lol I am not sure what kind of seasoning they had but our taste buds definitely approved. They don't come with the burger but were definitely worth getting on the side. It was a little on the pricey side at about $35-40 more than our typical date night spend for less food, but it was good overall. Too pricey to make it into our weekly rotation, but will be a nice addition to our special occasion options.

That's always nice- easy and user friendly. Parking was easy with a shared free parking lot. At 8p on a Saturday night, there were plenty of spots available. Walked in and greeted by the hostess. Kind and quick. Sat us in 2.5 seconds! Cocktails were very yummy. We ordered the Capri Son, Great Asp!, and Royal Grove. All different and all solid choices! Food was the star! We ordered the mezze board with the smoked eggplant dip, the beet muhammara, and the whipped feta. The whole board was great! Surprisingly, my fave was the beet dip, followed by the whipped feta. The balance of the spicy, sweet, salty, and crunchy in the beet dip was 10/10! The whipped feta was sweeter than I thought it was going to be but still very good. The eggplant dip was good but I don't think I need it again. The smokiness of it was lovely though! We also ordered the hot chicken. Spicy. Delicious. Must have! We ended up sharing the lamb burger. It's big and we were pretty full from the apps and drinks. It comes with Greek fries and a garlic aioli. So hearty and such great flavor. I just can't say enough about the food! Service was AMAZING! Shoutout to our server/bartender Megan. Super sweet, efficient, helpful, and just overall a great person. Such a great vibe. We'll definitely be back! Might be a regular. 100% recommend!
