My wife and I went here for brunch because of their extensive gluten-free offering. It's rare to find a place with more than a few options, so for that reason alone, it is worth visiting. To my surprise, it was also great in every other way. Service was fantastic. Our server was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Prices were reasonable as were portions, and the food was just plain tasty. I sometimes struggle to break out of my routine and try new places, but I'm so glad I did. I can't wait to go back!

WoooHoo! So glad I chose to stop here during my trip to Baltimore after hearing good things online! Fells Point is such a cute little town, I decided to sit outside since it was such a beautiful night! My server Nick was very polite & attentive, gave me multiple recommendations after asking what I had to try since I was in town, and dealt kindly with all of my questions unrelated to their establishment. I was told that the portions were huge, and I decided to go with the Blackened Chicken Alfredo. I know, I know, I could've got that anywhere else, but this specific bowl of pasta goodness was probably the best I ever had, and I've had this dish several times! Came out piping hot, the broccoli had char on it which I usually don't see but that made it even better, the chicken's flavor was great, and due to that I didn't have an all white alfredo sauce! (and me, of course, I told them no tomatoes on mine) I decided to get a Creamsicle Cocktail over crushed ice and it was delicious! One of the recommendations from Nick. Tastes exactly like it sounds! And the most bestest for last, those Maryland Crab Tots. THIS was the main reason I came here since I had seen a lot of chatting about them on the good old inter-webs and they were soooo amazing! The picture does not do it justice whatsoever, it does look like the cheese is unmelted, but I can assure you I was getting fantastic cheese pulls along with the creamy crab dip that was layered in the tots which you can't really see either since it was under the cheese, and other tots. GRAB THESE IF YOU GO! I stuffed myself the most that I could handle because it was all delicious but decided to cut myself off so I didn't explode my jean's button off.

I love a good eggs benny!! It was really yummy. We sat outside and it was such nice weather. The service would have been a little bit better, I felt like because we were outside we were constantly forgotten about. I did really like the fresh orange juice tho!

We loved this location! Stopped in before a concert and the food was quick but delicious. I also had their seasonal crush which was delicious and I already miss it! Would highly recommend!

The best place I have been to eat since having to eat gluten and dairy free. They were very knowledgable and the service was very attentive (Shoutout to KC and Jake). The vibe was chill. Bar setting with additional tables and an upstairs dining area with games (darts was the only one I saw being played but there could have been more). Bartender KC made my new fave drink that I have not seen in any other establishment: The Fells Manhattan. It was very good! I had vegan gluten free nachos. It was delicious but there could have been a little more toppings. Still delicious and the refried black beans were sooooooo good! The gluten free (with vegan cheese) steak panini was not the best. I was expecting the Chimichurri aioli to have flavor and it honestly tasted like plain mayo. I wouldn't get this again because that was the main reason for choosing that sandwich. The hand cut fries good! Overall, I would definitely give this spot another go until I have had everything gluten free, dairy free or vegan on the menu! Definitely gotta check this spot out if you have food allergies and even if you don't. Parking is limited because this is on the strip of restaurants and bars in the heart of Fells. I parked a few blocks away which was fine and gave us a nice little 5 mins walk to enjoy the weather. There are parking garages about the same distance as the pay to park area I chose.

MD Crab Tots, Cream of Crab Soup, crab cake entree with Brussels sprouts and coleslaw

I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find a gluten-free, celiac-safe crab cake while I was visiting Baltimore and I'm so glad to say that Alexander's Tavern proved me wrong! Their gluten-free menu is quite extensive and it was so hard to narrow our choices down! My friends and I ended up coming here around 8:30pm on a weeknight for dinner and there was ample seating space. We ended up getting the crab cake entree to share with 2 sides (coleslaw and crispy brussel sprouts where you can customize a specific sauce - you can never go wrong with garlic parmesan!). The crab cake itself was so full of crab meat and really well seasoned, the coleslaw was a little bit more watery than I would've liked but still fine, and the brussel sprouts were def crispy, though personally I would've preferred a tiny less char on them. But no matter - it's definitely the dish that I would recommend ordering if you come here! I also ordered the MD crab tots, which they're supposedly famous for and the tots came smothered in cheese and crab meat. It's a tasty app to share but it's super heavy and dense, as one might expect. My friend also ordered the cream of crab soup, which she really enjoyed. Come hungry because the portions are quite large and I felt like everything was very reasonably priced! For example, our crab entree was listed as MKT price day of which was $28, though I was expecting it to be more expensive having lived in NYC and Boston. Only downside was that our food took a super long time to come even though there weren't even that many people around us. However, staff were super nice and chill - overall, I would definitely recommend this spot for a casual dinner if you're ever around the waterfront area!

My wife and I have been ordering take out from Alexander's Tavern a lot lately. Probably 5 times or more in the past month. My wife is gluten sensitive, so it was surprising to us that they had gluten friendly options. Our go-to order is the chicken parm sandwich w/ crispy tots, and their buffalo wings. I think as of now, Alexander's wings are my favorite. One thing I can't stand about wings is if they aren't crispy and if you can still see the hairs on the skin. You don't have to worry about that here. The staff is great and friendly. We came to pick up our order two separate times. Typical Baltimore bar in terms of ambiance, but they serve good food and the people who work here are great.

    I. Love. This. Place. Such a wonderful Fells Point staple. The bartenders are always so friendly, chatty, and provide quick service. The food is always hot and fresh and the menu options are unique. I love stopping in here on an afternoon of shopping at the thrift and vintage pop ups nearby.

I happened to stumble upon this place as I was walking through Broadway Market and I must say- I gotta go back! I went during their happy hour and only had their happy hour French 75. I must say- it was good and STRONG!! The ambiance was very warming and the bartender was super nice and patient as I was looking to figure out which drink I wanted to try. Would definitely recommend for a casual spot especially for happy hour. Affordable prices and great environment overall.

My friend said I had to come here. We did. As soon as we stepped out of the Uber the adventure began. The building is so out dated but the entrance door held its charm. Neon lit Edgar portrait reading from a book his Annabel Lee. Complete with a bouquet of flowers. To the right more words of the writer surrounded with a few tables and chairs for those willing to chill in the cold. Inside was no different. Several crows, skulls everything you'd expect. And a well stocked bar. Many writings on the wall, articles, awards, etc all added to the vibe and theme. And of course dimly lit but you could still read the menu. We were guided to the back for our party of 5, in a corner away from everyone else. That made it easy for us to converse as we perused the menu exclaiming this and that of the dreadful names used and deathly ingredients mixed in. It definitely made it more appetizing. After working all day I was ready for a drink and settled on the To Isadore; gin, lavender syrup, lemon squeeze topped with segura cava. That hit the spot. Unfortunately, I had eaten quite a bit on this trip and forced myself to order the Chef Salad. Nothing more to say there. My wife, though, ordered the seafood lasagna. Never had that and it didn't sound like something I could get into. I was wrong. This is Baltimore. The seafood here is astounding. It was delicious and had to take a couple spoon fulls. My friend ordered the double beef patty burger. I was jealous until he offered me a bite. That was really good too, and juicy. If you're looking for an experience and are not too afraid you may want to visit Annabel's. I do recommend it and do insist coming after the sun has been well down.

A few of us came early and got drinks at the speakeasy upstairs which I definitely recommend! It had a great drink menu and cool vibe. For actual dinner, the restaurant itself had an eclectic menu and swanky decor. The service was spotty. I had to ask for water refills 2x. Also for a group of 12, it took about 7 mins for everyone to be served food. Yes, this is a large party, so you must have several servers come bring the food when you're charging these prices. It should've been a seamless experience but we had several friends waiting on their food while others were halfway through. The food quality itself was hit or miss. The pork belly app was delicious! Crispy and tender. But the octopus was overly chewy and weird. We had 2 dishes with it and both were cooked like that, it wasn't good. The lobster poutine was delicious and went quick. Paella was okay - the shellfish was overcooked and seemingly dried up. Drinks were good and staff was friendly. Overall, there are a lot of kinks to work out. I'd like to come back but at the price point, I wish our experience was better and wish the food was more consistently good.

He answered all my questions, stayed in communication, and really helped bring the whole vision together. We had close to 30 people for the dinner in one of their private dining areas, and when I say the staff was impeccable... they were ON IT. My friend had no idea where she was going, so this was a full surprise. Once we gave the staff the green light, they were ready and immediately started accommodating everyone. Everything just flowed from there. We did family-style appetizers, which I loved because everyone got to try a little bit of everything. Everything was flavorful and came out at the perfect pace. For my entrée, I had the salmon and it was so good. And listen... I hosted the whole thing, ate there that night, AND still had leftovers to take home. That's always a win. They were also super accommodating leading up to the event. I was able to drop off the cake and cake pops the evening before, and I was even able to decorate the private dining area, which made everything feel really personal. What could have easily been a stressful experience ended up feeling seamless. The restaurant atmosphere is beautiful. But Greeta went to another restaurant nearby and brought back some packets of ketchup. If that isn't going above and beyond, then I don't know what is. The food was absolutely stellar. Whenever I see a local restaurant/chef nominated for such an award, I try to get there to see what it is all about. Unfortunately, my first visit was not good. It began with our seating. For this outing, I was with my wife. We arrived and were immediately seated at a small two-seated table directly in front of the main entrance. The restaurant was extremely busy, and the table we were seated at was basically at the crossroads of all the traffic. Also, the location was very cramped and made it hard to move. With that, the worse of the problems was actually being so close to the main entrance on a cold evening. The door was constantly opening and closing allowing blasts of frigid air each time. That made our seating exceptionally uncomfortable. I can sometimes look past bad seating, understanding that it is important to get as many people in so the restaurant can make money. Many times great food can make up for shortcomings in other parts of a restaurant. Moreover, amazing service can really make me forget about those seating issues. To start, we got the Arancini Funghi appetizer. To my concern, it seemed to come out exceptionally fast: about 4-minutes after we ordered. And wouldn't you know it, the arancini was frozen most of the way through. It took a decent amount of time for the server to return, he was very nice, and took the frozen appetizer away. It took over 10-minutes for a new one to come out. At that point I was agitated. When I tried the new arancini appetizer that was brought out, it was cooked well, but had almost zero flavor. Needless to say, I was done for the night. After another long break of waiting for the server, who was very attentive to a four-top a few tables away, came back, I told him to cancel my order. My wife did get hers. Now, back to the service. We went for long intervals without our server coming to see how we were doing or trying to actually remedy the situation. He was constantly focused on the four-top that I guess was going to be the better tip. I guess since I had canceled my main course, he knew the tip would not be as good. In any case, the service was lackluster for the whole evening. My wife got the Ricotta Cavatelli that came with lobster. To me, it looked too soupy. She said it was a little soupy but was good. Personally, I did not try it and was ready to go. In the end, we were also charged for the arancini appetizer that had to be re-fired. I was not happy about that. If a restaurant makes a mistake, the customer should not be charged for it even if they receive a re-fired replacement. Our server, even though very nice, was not very attentive to us and more worried about a four-top. The frozen arancini was frustrating. The re-fired replacement was flavorless. Our table was in a terrible location and we were constantly blasted by gusts of cold air the whole time. In the end, the experience was not good. Will I return to give Marta a second chance? Yes. I don't like writing negative reviews, but the experience was bad enough for me to write one. When I return, and the experience is much better, I will write a new positive review. Until then, 2 stars is all I can give.

I asked him if this was the same sent back plate of food and he said "yes" and said the added the avocado. They UNWRAPPED the original wrap and just added the avocado and brought the entire plate back. I immediately questioned how that follows food handling guidelines. If they weren't going to redo the order, they could have just brought avocado slices to the table! The MANAGER had a very dismissive, RUDE attitude and so I sent everything back and left. Twist is a Mediterranean style restaurant that offers a BYOB brunch. They have few overpriced options for juice if you would like to make mimosas or cocktails. We ordered a pineapple juice pitcher($15) to go with our bottles we brought in. I ordered the breakfast burrito, it came with a side salad & potatoes. The food was satisfactory! Service was slow and poor. Yes it was busy, but, the amount of times we had to call for service was unacceptable. Our server brought a cooler to place our bottles in then we were forgotten about. Our server finally came and took our order with no machine or notepad. We were skeptical about our order being wrong, and SURPRISE, it was wrong. My boyfriend ordered the Twist Royale with pancakes but was brought French toast. We informed our server and Not only did he only bring ONE pancake back, he also took the French toast slice. What's the point of taking it back? It cannot be re-served so it would've gone in the trash anyway. He also never apologized for the inconvenience. -Beware of the $8 corkage fee per person for BYOB. -Parking can be rough especially on weekends. -Prices are high. We spent about $90 for two people.

We popped in right at 7 one morning before work and actually beat the server and the hostess there. The staff was friendly and mostly left us alone but for frequent coffee refills, and the food was about what I expected from a restaurant that is basically a different version of IHOP. The bacon was thick and crispy and way better quality than anticipated and the over easy eggs were cooked perfectly, which is rare. The protein and buckwheat pancakes were nice surprises on the menu and were quite tasty. The neighborhood has a dearth of true weekday breakfast places, and this is a nice option. It's also huge and could easily accommodate a large crowd.

Ordering the Florentine Benadict fresh tomato, spinach, and the best hollandaise sauce I've tasted. It comes with a side of french toast, made with fresh brioche brought it daily from a Baltimore bakery. Thick cut and the center tasted like creamy custard, paired with homemade strawberry syrup and fresh whipped cream. We also tried the Shrimp Skillet, fresh jumbo shrimp on potatoes with avocado, spinach, peppers and two eggs your way. There is a wide selection of all things delicious on the menu that will definitely have us coming back for more!! Our server Kate was awesome!! She made excellent and honest recommendations such as the Florentine Benedict hyping the up French toast as it deserves. OPH closes daily at 2:30 but you'll want to get there early, certain menu items are made to order and will be a 30 - 45 minute wait. They are also happy to accommodate large parties!
