Came here for the first time last week and was very impressed. I did not expect it to be so nice in the restaurant, the atmosphere was very good. We came in at 12:30 and still waited about a half hour which was a little surprising but not bad at all compared to some other places around here. The service was very good and our waiter was attentive. The food turned out really good I had a skillet and everything seemed fresh, and was reasonably priced. To me Alexanders and Egg Harbor are the two best breakfast places around here. I will for sure be going back soon. read more

We've given this place a couple of tries thinking we must be missing something. It always seems to have a good size crowd. But each time all of our meals were at best average with some issues. Today I finally decided to post after having a very rude waitress. Poor service along with eye rolling and facial gestures from the server turned off all of us in our party of six. I had a salad with grilled chicken. The overall flavor combination was good but the chicken was not. It tasted like they boiled it in a pot and stamped some grill marks on it. My wife had a Panini and felt the same about the chicken. I would consider giving them three stars but The prices are a little high for what you got. So after trying multiple items I cannot see what others find in the food that makes it worth a visit. read more

Wow...what a menu! And the vibe and style is so much better than the prior Gabby's Kitchen. Ordered the corned beef hash skillet which was served to perfection and homemade...stoked that I could upgrade the pancake for a very small charge to get a lemon custard (again homemade) specialty pancake or French toast) so I could have my sweet and meat comboPerfect portions...oh and the service is superb! This was our first time, and it was the day after Christmas. We were super impressed with the menu and the food was really good. But I think they should have been closed and let the staff have the day off. They were all not happy and it showed. My daughter left her sunglasses on the table. The restaurant had just closed so the door was locked. My husband pounded on the door. A waitress looked at him twice and proceeded to turn her back and walk away. They were able to get in when a customer walked out. It was 2 min after leaving. My daughter checked the table and they were gone. She asked the wait staff and they claimed to not have seen them. She asked for a manager. Then they miraculously appeared. We will try it again. Hopefully, it will be much better customer service. read more

Breakfast was served and everything was delicious. We had a delightful wait person who gave perfect service of coffee and water - just what you need in the morning, and then she offered coffee to-go. This is a great breakfast restaurant I have not been there for brunch but breakfast is great for Mexican and omelette is awesome and so is the Greek omelette the coffee they make the specialty coffee it's made so good and they decorate it with cream on top I definitely give them at 10 and the gentleman that open this restaurant so that it they're needed to be a good place to eat in St. Charles and it is we're finally getting some good places here thanks Donna G read more

Your Facebook ad worked by the way. My son and I came in for breakfast today. We were both very Happy that we did. I had the 5.00 special not sure what to expect. Was very happy for what I chose. My son got the corned Beef skillet it was worth the money . The food was 5 stars. I should of asked for more gravy for my biscuit. But that was my fault. The service was 4 stars. She was not very approachable. She could of been more attentive on drinks instead of us having to ask. Everyone trains there wait staff diffrently not sure if this is how all of them are. I do recommend eating here for breakfast for sure. I look forward to it. My favorite Lunch spot in the whole Fox Valley! The food ingredients are as fresh as can be - so much of the food appears to be made from scratch that morning (Maybe it all isn't from scratch, but it sure tastes like it!). I come away feeling nourished. But the movie-themed art, quiet eclectic music mix (who's playlist is this?), very professional servers and staff - make this an entertaining place to eat. And each time, the experience is quite unique from the previous visit. They should open for Dinner sometimes - I'll bet that it would be fantastic! read more

First time here, although we've long been fans of the other restaurants in this group. Excellent breakfast! Homemade Biscuits and Gravy were wonderful, although the biscuits are so big, they could have used a little more gravy. ;) The Butcher Block Skillet was also most excellent. Hash browns were good and crispy; would like to have been offered onions in them! Cinnamon butter on the pancakes was a great extra. I was expecting to be wowed after all the rave reviews, but maybe the kitchen was having an off day when we went. I had a breakfast skillet. The hashbrowns in the bottom of the skillet were overcooked (too brown) and they were greasy. To top it off, the oil they were cooked in tasted funky; maybe rancid, scorched, or like they had pulled it out of the deep fryer. The rest of the skillet was unremarkable; sausage, onions and peppers, with eggs. Eggs were done okay, but whatever the metal "dish" is that they serve this in really needs to be changed. It's a stainless steel oval dish, with straight up sides, about 2 inches deep, and it's small enough that it's hard to cut anything in there, or even to navigate your fork comfortably to eat. My friend had the Reams Brat burger, and it was fine, again, nothing special, maybe a bit greasy. Our drinks were good, our waiter was attentive. We might try them one more time, but they're not as good as Gabby's was. Maybe I need to try something that's not a "skillet". I do like that they modernized and updated the space, it's bright and cheery in there. read more

Finally St Charles has a place for breakfast on par with Egg Harbor in Geneva. I had a delicious skillet and my wife had a great omelette. The OJ is fresh squeezed on site and cannot be missed. Everyone we encountered that worked there were very friendly and happy to be there; Not a grumpy or rude one in the entire place. The service was outstanding thanks to our waitress Conny. Don't forget to try the cinnamon butter. This place has it dialed in, and knows how to do it right. read more

My daughter and I went to brunch and I can honestly say it was worth the 1/2 ride. I had the 1/2 pineapple with yogurt and fruit and it was absolutely delicious. We ate here after the Sly Fox 1/2 Marathon. Food was great! Service was a bit lacking. Waitress seemed flighty and distracted. She was forever in getting coffee, silverware(which was brought 3-5 mins after food was sitting in front of us), bill, etc. Food was brought out quickly and tasted great. I would definitely come back again. Table was ready a few minutes after we checked in with the hostess.
