We usually go to the South Elgin location which is lightning fast. We don't expect or need it to be that fast, but since I am used to a 5 minute prep, I showed up to this location around 5 minutes after placing an order. When I walked in the man at the register asked what I wanted and I said that I placed an online order. One of the young women making the sandwiches turned to me with a hostile look and told me "We take 20 minutes to prepare online orders. I will be prepping deliveries and THEN I will get to yours." Now mind you, I hadn't shown any sign of impatience. I just let them know that I was there. I was more than happy to fill my fountain drinks and sit in the air conditioning for 20 minutes if needed instead of a hot car. But given her unnecessary tirade I simply said thank you and went out to my car (the young man working with her had the good grace to look genuinely embarrassed). I waited 20 minutes in my car, so now 28 total for 2 sandwiches. Tried in vain to cancel the order since it was not started. Went back in and the person who was clearly the manager who was not present the first time welcomed me. I told him that I had an online order. The same girl looked straight at me, asked me the name as though she had never seen me before and then proceeded to tell me that there was no order in my name. I told her to please look again, as I had been in 20 minutes ago and she told me that she would prep my order after the deliveries. It was clear that she moved my order to another surface and processed several others. When I addressed that to the manager she suddenly "found" my order and the young man next to her took it, prepared it in 2 minutes and said "Ma'am, your order is ready." The manager handed it to me. This was July 1 at about 11:10 am in case the management wants to look to see who represented their store in such a negative light. My girlfriend and I were treated incredibly rudely today when we visited this location. We had an online order, so we went in to grab it from the shelf but wanted to add a couple bags of chips. We picked the ones we wanted and stood at the register, waiting to even be acknowledged by an employee. The woman who seems to be the manager, dark hair and glasses, turned around and very snidely said "do you want something?" to my girlfriend who replied "I'd just like to make a purchase". He had one of those sunvisors on and his hair was everywhere and he slicing cheese, so I actually turned around and walked out of there because I don't want hair in my food I really think that your employees should be wearing hairnets or the baseball caps are fine, but they really need those on their head not those sunvisors and their hair all over the place people lose hair a lot and the way that kid was doing today slicing. I went to the Geneva Commons location at 12:35pm on a Monday afternoon. I stood in line at the register while 3 guys were making sandwiches. Nobody acknowledged those of us in line. After a few minutes one of the guys yelled over to the four of us who were in line that they weren't taking anymore orders. What?!?!?! I asked him why and he very rudly stated that they were very backed up, running over an hour late on some online orders, were almost out of bread and ham. They did not listen at all and got my order wrong even though I was standing right there talking directly to the cashier. After waiting for a while for them to give me the wrong order I attempted to communicate with them to get it corrected and I got a massive attitude. I was told I was wrong because it wasn't on the receipt then was told to hurry up and tell them what I want (again, after waiting on them forever). This is my last visit to this Jimmy Johns store. The cashier handed us our soda cups by grasping the rim with her fingers inside the cup! I complained and asked for a new cup. I personally had a good experience here as far as customer service. The staff was friendly and my sandwich was ready in minutes. What I didn't like was the sandwich. I had ordered the #3 which is a tuna sandwich and I felt that the tuna was dry and didn't have much taste to it. Also the sandwich in general didn't have much sauce.
