We ordered the buffet-style package, which worked perfectly for accommodating a variety of dietary needs, including vegetarian, gluten-free, and halal options. The pricing was extremely fair for the amount and quality of food we received. We ordered double portions to serve 118 people, and the setup filled four rows of tables, as shown in the photo. The order came with everything we could have needed. I worked directly with the owner, Sharif, who was incredible throughout the entire process. His communication was excellent, he helped recommend the best options for our specific needs, and he was very understanding of the limited lunch breaks our teachers and staff had. Most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious. Even with the generous portions, everything was gone quickly because everyone loved it. Sharif truly went above and beyond with both the quantity and service. Next time, I'll definitely plan to order even more because it was such a hit. It also means a lot to support a local business owner who has children in District 204. That community connection made the experience feel even more personal and meaningful.

A Halal Restaurant Posing as a Mexican Restaurant…read more The only thing Mexican themed here is the name of the place. You want Falafels?! You got it! You want Tamales or Chorizo? Forget it! I truly had high hopes for this establishment when I saw the sign. Once I walked inside and took one look at the menu board, I knew this wasn't going to be a good experience. Asada has an extremely limited menu and the food is crappy. I ordered tacos to go and ended up throwing them out after a couple of bites. I can't seek about the Halal food, however, Taco Bell serves better tacos than this joint. The staff also looked "less than thrilled" to be working that night. The only thing going for this place is that the establishment has a large, comfortable dining room. Plenty of other Mexican restaurants in the Fox Valley area to go to than this.

This was my first time there and I am surprised I haven't heard more people talking about it. I stopped in a little after 9:30pm to meet up with the rest of the group of 6 on a Saturday night. I didn't realize until I got there that my cousin's cousin who is a friend was actually bartending so that was a nice surprise because he's got a lot of experience. Our server was really nice and came up to our high top as I was looking over the drink menu to let me know that the kitchen would be closing soon in case we wanted to order any food but we had all already eaten. I do kind of wish that I had looked over the food menu though because some of the last plates I saw being served for the night looked pretty good. Both the server and our friend did a great job of checking in throughout the night with our party and the others. This was the same night as the Pride Celebration in Aurora that was literally just outside on Stolp Ave but it wasn't very busy for a while but a good amount of people trickled in for a nightcap after the show at the Paramount let out. The 2 drinks I had were really good. The first one was the featured cocktail: Naughty Nellie's Nectar which was a great Tiki-esque drink with spiced rum and bitters mixed with various fruit juices including passion fruit, guava, pineapple, and lime. It was right up my alley so I was a little sad when I went for a second one and the bartender said that they had run out of some of the ingredients but that he would make me the other drink on the menu that's similar, the Twilight Tixi. I liked that one a lot too. What really made the night great though was the chill and relaxing ambiance of the space. The nice lighting gave the mood of a mix between lounge, restaurant and bar. The music was good and although they had the TV above the bar playing the last game of the NBA finals it was not the focal point. I'm looking forward to more fun nights at Arthouse in the future.

Recently I tried the Ribeye (Medium Rare) and Mac and cheese for a very patriotic meal before the 4th of July. I really like the chimichurri sauce, hot tip - add a little to your Mac and cheese. So delicious. I'd say the steak could have used a little more of a crust but overall was still really yummy. The service is always wonderful, tonight Poncho was working and he always remembers my drink and makes my friends feel welcome. If you haven't been before the ambiance is really great. So I'm torn between a 3 and a 4. The place came to us with hype and that also set my expectations in a certain direction. So the tandoori paneer tikka sizzler was top notch. So good. Also as appetizers, we had the Dry Gobi Manchurian, which I would say had great flavor, but wasn't prepared fresh. It was still good. And lastly, papdi chaat, which I didn't care for, though others on the table enjoyed it. On the mains, the paneer butter masala was really good also. So 2 smash hits on paneer items. Dal Makhani was good and could have had a bit more. Naan's were fine. I preferred the garlic naan over the chilly garlic naan and lachcha paratha was also fine. The above was all the best parts. Overall the restaurant is fine inside. It's narrower on the inside vs seeing it before we walked in. The thing is it didn't give me a nice clean vibe. And like, my hands kept feeling sticky on their utensils and even the mens room had run out of paper towels. Just all small things that weren't the best feeling. Service was OK. I think it's kind of very casual-comfortable-whatever. Nothing bad happened, though, but all of these small things do add up. Food alone I would've given this a 4+, but as a whole I landed on 3. Maybe as a pick-up joint, this place would work out for the best. But hey, I'm glad we finally made the trek all the out to Aurora and tried it. Well, now I know.
