First time trying... We stopped in between shops on Randall Rd and were pleasantly surprised. My BF ordered the double bacon cheeseburger and I ordered the chicken sandwich. The beef was perfectly cooked and had crispy edges and the bacon was also cooked just right . My chicken was SO JUICY and the char from the grill made the flavor extra delicious. Whatever they put in the "shack seasoning" is magical. The chipotle mayo was a perfect addition to both sandwiches. Honestly, the chicken was better than a lot of sit-down restaurants I've tried! And the fries were crispy and not heavy/greasy like a lot of hand cut fries I've had at places like this. We are in town from Arizona and saw a sign that Beef Shack/Cheesy Beef. Our eyes lit up and said that's where we are going for lunch (12/8) We order Cheesy Beef on Garlic bread. One had sweet peppers the other had hot peppers. The service was fast and very friendly. The restaurant looked very clean which is a plus for me. Oh my goodness, the sandwiches were definitely cheesy, beefy and delicious. The bread was nice and crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. Juice just kept dripping from the sandwich so it definitely wasn't dry like most places. We definitely don't find these kind of sandwiches back home. Stopped in for a quick bite while out Christmas shopping. Found a parking spot, pulled in up to the tire stop and heard a slight crunching noise. Hmmm, maybe I should pull back a little. Heard more crunching, grinding, ripping and the more I slowly reversed the more I heard damage occurring. I stopped, and wifey and I got out, walked to the front of her car and found the front bumper ripped entirely off the car, except for one bolt on the left side holding the remainder of the bumper which now lay on the ground. I don't have a low rider, it's a family car with pretty good ground clearance. I'd like to know who bought these tire stops, 'cause this particular car we were driving clears nearly everything. Still hungry, we went in and had a pretty good hamburger while I considered how I would get my wrecked car home. Of course this will be the last hamburger I have at Beef Shack, because, really....what kind of place installs parking lot wheel stops that destroy your car before the front tires even touch them. BTW, we thoughtfully inspected several other vehicles parked out front and none of them, except Ford F150 type trucks would clear these stops. Every other sedan would have hit them if they hadn't already. I went here with my buddies to have a good talk over dinner and catch up. I got the cheesy beef on garlic and it was very hot and good. A substantial amount of fries gets added to your bag no matter what you order so getting the small fry is more than enough. It was Saturday so they had a $1 special on shakes which was a great deal. The food at the Beef Shack is fair to good. The attention to detail at Beef Shack leaves a lot to be desired. For the third time we ordered food the bill coming to $45.00 US. This location continues to lack attention to detail. The first 2 times we had missing food. Yesterdays adventure into poor customer service was amazing. Only 1 other customer in the place and no cars in line at 4:00 PM. We were out shopping and not expected to get home for over an hour. Beef sandwiches tend to get soggy so we asked for the Au Jus on the side and paid $.25 for each one in the order. Getting home we find the Au Jus was not in the bag. Also, the plastic bag the sandwiches and French fries added to getting the food extra soggy. The receipt did not have a phone contact on it so I looked it up. I called and talked to a person and was getting no where. I asked to speak to the manager and explained the situation so it could be addressed with the staff and perhaps to evaluated paper bags in lieu of plastic. I received NO APPOLOGIES for the inconvenience and she was NOT interested in helping me. The final straw came when she said in a gruff manner "Well what do you want me to do about it?". I told her I was going to write a review and she could have cared less. So fellow patrons, drive the extra 1 or 2 miles to Portillos down the street. Unlike Beef Shack They actually are helpful and polite. Quality control appears not to exist in the Beef Shack culture. It is not the $.50 cents mind you. It is the fact they REALLY DO NOT CARE! The fries were also very good, fresh cut. I would have liked a little more fries in the bag. It was way smaller than I expected - good for smaller kids or someone that eats smaller portions. The beef - very good. Way better than P's that has become so thick and chewy. I am so disappointed in this restaurant. We picked up 2 beef sandwiches and a large fry. The beef flavor was ok but the portion of beef is 1/2 of Buona beef.
