Overall place was not crowded and plenty of seats to dine in. I placed my order and was given a number to put on my table for order to be brought out. I tried the southwest chicken & avocado salad and a cup of country potato soup. They were a bit stingy on the avocado that came with the salad. The country potato soup was nice and hit, and it came with some side of crackers. The salad was just ok, the chicken was on the dry side. The strawberry lemonade was a bit to sugary for my taste, maybe asking for more ice make it better. Unsanitary conditions. I ordered a sandwich roast beef with no cheese and no horseradish sauce, side of broccoli and bbq chips. When the sandwich came it had Swiss on it. I. Explained I asked for no cheese please remake it. Guy rolled his eyes at me tore sandwich apart and took the Swiss off and threw the sandwich back together. Ok. I have allergies so I can not have the cheese. I told them I so couldn't eat it. Manager was nice and refunded me and tried to make it up by giving me a complimentary card. Went yesterday for lunch, I had a Chicken Caesar salad, my husband had "the Italian" sandwich- both delicious! My salad had a generous portion of chicken and served with dressing on the side. My husbands sandwich was loaded with meats, cheeses, and veggies, served warm. We've had many visits and carry outs, and always satisfied! The Mgr. I recently dined at McAllisters, food was ok, but I won't be returning because of the manager. The manager came to serve my girlfriend and I our food. He stood there for a moment silently, holding our plates, waiting for us to tell him what we ordered. He was the one that took our order just 5 minutes prior. So, seeing my dish right in front of me, I reached for my plate. This guy literally yanked it back and, in a condescending tone, said, "Uh uh uh, don't make me look bad. Ladies first," before serving my girlfriend. This behavior is unprofessional and completely unnecessary. There are better ways to follow traditional etiquette without being rude or patronizing, and most importantly, without making one of your CUSTOMERS look like a complete j@ck@ss in front of their significant other. The irony is that his attempt to enforce a 'ladies first' rule did the very thing he was trying to avoid: looking bad. This interaction and the manager's controlling, disrespectful and overzealous nature is unacceptable I won't ever be returning. read more

If you're tired of Panera Bread and looking for something different, give McAlister's a try - unless you're pressed for time. The food is always great! They have a typical deli menu with a variety of sandwiches and baked potatoes. The McAlister's Club is my go-to and never disappoints. The service at this location however... usually does. Went here on a Friday night and it wasn't busy at all, yet our food still took forever to come out. This seems to be the case when I come here in the evenings. They also had half of the dining area cleaned and packed up already (chairs upside down on tables) which felt a little uncomfortable considering they weren't closing for another 2-3 hours. I went there for lunch with a friend wanting to try McAlister's out and was pleasantly surprised. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Although they split the original Panera site in half, they kept much of the same layout. Much more spacious than the new Panera Bread location. The fruit and wrap were very good. I love McAlisters! We went for lunch and I had the McAlisters club with fresh fruit. The sandwich was delicious and the fruit was so fresh! The thing I love most about eating here is there is plenty of sides to choose to go with your meal. They have soup, mac and cheese, chips, salads and other items. McAlister's Deli was pretty good, but unfortunately that's the best I can describe it as. Although it provided the typical deli sandwiches and even had the friendly deli atmosphere, it missed a wow factor that really exceptional delis have. I ordered the New Yorker which was a pastrami and corned beef sandwich. It was a large portion, but as I previously stated there was nothing special in regards to the sandwich itself. The flavors were the generic flavors which isn't bad. If you want a pastrami or corned beef sandwich, you want it to taste like a pastrami or corned beef sandwich. McAlister's did that, but I wouldn't be able to distinguish their sandwich from any other deli. In all McAlister's provided a great alternative from the typical fast food, but if compared to other delis, it doesn't do much to put itself ahead of the herd. McAlister's Deli - A Very Sad, Dry & Bland Rendition of a "Rueben Sandwich". - Salad Near Me - Geneva, Illinois

Hoping to improve on my previous experience with McAlister's new location, I stopped by for a second time with the family. Unfortunately, I wish we'd stayed home and shared a box of saltines. The food wasn't terrible. I'll give them that. It wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible. Our big takeaway was that mostly everything tasted wet. My second-shot at the Four Cheese Griller was served on a different bread than the first time around, and although I'm not sure how that happened -- the first bread turned out to have been better. We ordered some veggie nachos to share but the nachos turned out to be not-so-veggie so I can't comment on those. I did actually get my side of mac and cheese this time, and it was both mac and cheesy. Once again, the biggest issue we had with McAlister's was the service. We ordered a gallon of sweet tea to go at the register, and all three of us heard the girl behind the counter instruct another worker to go get the tea. Somehow, it didn't seem to register with him (even though she said it twice). Still, we had to wait for our food anyway so I didn't really see it being an issue. Spoiler alert: I was wrong. Fast forward to picking up our lunch and there's still no tea to be seen. We stood at the counter waiting with our bags for a few minutes and no one seemed to notice. It felt like the giant plastic bags in our hands were acting as some sort of super-powered invisibility cloak to the staff. I spotted a random tea-jug up at the ordering station and watched as a couple of people ordered and left it behind. Eureka! Our tea! I finally called down to the person working behind the register and asked him if it was ours. He shrugged and carried it down to us, and this is where things get weird. He plopped (yeah, plopped. I don't think I've ever used that word but it's totally accurate here) our jug down on the counter and walked away without saying a word. Normally, whatever. Plop my tea. I was waiting for it anyway and my food is getting cold. However, I felt like this jug could have used some instruction and/or an apology/basic acknowledgement of the fact that this tea varied somewhat from the menu photo. Apparently, they'd run out of lids for the gallon bottles, so someone had taken a piece of plastic wrap and put it over the top, wrapping it with a rubber band to "secure" the liquid. If you know anything about transporting liquids, this is obviously not a strategy for success. Since we were driving a Jeep home, it definitely made for a memorable experience. We stared at it for a minute, then back to the staff (who were once again oblivious to our presence), and then collectively gave up on McAlister's. It was like our will to want them to try just eased out of us like a sigh. We still drive by every so often and discuss how we wish we could just eat at McAlister's already, but at this point I'd honestly rather make the 6-hour drive to Missouri for the same food with some decent service. Tried McAlister's for the first time with my kids. We went at an off time around 4PM...this is our summer routine. They stay up until 3AM and wake up at about 11AM, so lunch is around 4PM. Haha. Anyway, it wasn't busy at all because of the oddball timing. My daughter had the broccoli cheese soup in a bread bowl, not anything remarkable, but fine. My son and I both ordered the 2 For special where you can choose 2 of the following: 1/2 sandwich, 1/2 spud, 1/2 salad, or soup. I ordered the Reuben and a Roast Beef Spud and my son chose the Club and Bacon/Cheese Spud. I'm not sure if they just gave us a whole potato because of the time of day or if this was a half order, but the potato was huge. The Reuben was okay; the bread was not grilled, more like toasted. I am an avid Reuben fan and this was edible, but nothing special. The baked potato I had was topped with small pieces of roast beef, grilled onions, and cheese. It was fine, but there was a weird smell I got a whiff of in a few bites. It may have been whatever the onions were grilled in, but it was a little off-putting. My son said his club sandwich and bacon cheese potato were fine. I used a coupon found in one of the coupon packs you get in the mail. It was for 2 meals and 2 drinks for $14.99. This basically gave us our drinks free. It was an okay meal while out shopping, but nothing to rave about. read more

I used the online order and curbside pick up today before leaving work. Places the order and have time I'd be there . Order was perfect and food was to die for! I created my own grilled cheese with tomorrow , avocado, caramelized onions and herbed mayo. Oh dang did my tastebuds do a happy dance!! Love how it shows you that you can make the selection healthier by adding or substituting certain ingredients . Kids meal Mac and cheese was great quality . No scrimping on the kids food like you see at a lot of other places. All around great food. I waited well over what i was told in a crowded tiny pick up room. Then they forgot my dressing and of course i never noticed until i got back home. Asked for 2 pickle spears and got zero. Also no mayo and asked for extra mayo on one. Said thank you to the man who handed me the order and he said nothing back and also had his nose hanging out his mask the entire time.
