My wife and I stopped by for a late breakfast the other day. We were seated quickly. Restaurant was clean. Menu was pretty basic diner fare. I had the Louisiana skillet, which was underwhelming. It was basically all potatoes. I did appreciate they gave me three eggs, but even for someone who loves carbs, it was too much. My Dad and I have made this a regular Sunday stop. Everything is so good. Service is excellent. The pancakes (pictured) are SO good. The server will always recommend a short stack - and there is no way anyone could finish a regular stack but if you like left overs go for the full stack. I have also tried French toast - also excellent. Last weekend I tried a BLT. It came with soup which I didn't think I'd eat since it is so hot but man was it good! I'd go back just for the soup! Holy frijole! Yummmmmmmmmmmm. This place satisfies. I found them through yelp and stopped in for breakfast with my wife. What a beautiful diner! Staff was excellent! And the food! My vegetables were fresh and they were so flavorful. The sausage was so good and added to the scrambler. Pancakes were on point! You have to visit this place! So good! Breakfast here was wonderful! The dining room is big and clean and coronavirus safety panels and sanitizer are present. Our server was really polite and helpful, as were other staff. Coffee was bottomless, warm enough and decent but not flavorful. We ordered nutella-banana crepes and peach crepes, with a side of fresh fruit and a size of breakfast sausages. The crepes came two per order and they were massive and stuffed filled with cream cheese and the other fillings, with fresh whipped cream on top. The crepes themselves had the right slightly chewy go with gently pan-fried exterior. They were fantastic! The side of fruit was also a large portion with fresh pineapple, honeydew and watermelon. The side of breakfast links came with three and they were not the typical skinny links. In fact, these were more flavorful and plump. Wednesday morning....aka hump day and I'm in a Zoom meeting and starving!!!! I've tried a couple places in my area for work for breakfast and something always didn't quite hit the mark, so I tried out Lume's as several coworkers have raves about them. Lumes has showed up and showed out. I door dashed their Denver Omelette and substituted the onion and green peppers for cheddar cheese and spinach...and I chose the potatoes option. The potatoes is what I was going to judge the whole meal on as my previous experience were always soured by dry potatoes or burnt hashbrowns. Lumes snapped!!!! This place had good food and Karen was a very good server. Cute Greek style establishment, mom and pop shop. Our waitress, Karen was awesome! Karen is far from a "Karen". She was great on refills for water and my decaf coffee. She noticed I liked the French vanilla creamer and brought me more. Dallas omelette (minus the jalapeño) fluffy style was delicious. I prefer shredded hash browns but these were ok. The wheat toast was buttered. My friends Belgium waffle was good. She's picky about the batter and said she really liked the batter. Not keen on the plastic utensils but it makes sense, COVID. Plexi glass was up separating the booths. Social distancing was being practiced. As I enter I am reminded of a restaurant meeting the needs of middle and older aged people. The food is safe and plentiful. It is not over or under cooked and not spiced. One of the bonus items of the restaurant is their use of egg beaters. The wait person was superb as she remembered everyone's order. The cashier was gracious. My friend ordered a nice salad and I ordered the chicken Panini...with cottage cheese instead of fries, (2.00 upcharge). Her salad looked good and ok. The chicken breast on my burnt toasted Panini was over cooked and very dry. Two tiny little pieces of avocado, could hardly eat this 15.99 meal. The cottage cheese was watery and warm. Worst ever meal. Waitress charged us for the 3.50 coffee (that my friend never got) then took off bill when we brought to her attention. I showed her the chicken. Nothing was taken off the bill. I am so delighted to be dining once again at Lumes! I have missed the cherry crêpes! The booths have been updated with clear dividers that are held in place by acrylic frames. Jr apple pancakes are hard to find and they have them on the menu. I called ahead and ordered a pancake as they can take about 30-40 minutes to cook and let them know I would have a party of seven. Everything delicious. During Covid they are very careful with social distancing, disinfecting after each customer and use disposable items for practically everything. I have not sampled their lunch menu, but breakfast is absolutely wonderful. Aside from the pancakes, the corn beef hash and the omelettes are delicious. I also have had very positive experiences with service. You will be alarmed at how busy this place is, but don't let it deter you. I have never waited more than 10-15 minutes for a table (even when it's packed). The Lumes staff is very efficient. Went to for breakfast today with my husband and grandson, who btw is almost 7, and high functioning Autistic! We were seated in the back booth, opposite the kitchen and work area for the servers, needless to say quite a busy and loud, understandably so - my grandson sat quietly, order his own food, ate, said thank you - he was very appropriate! He also brought his iPad to keep busy, and we adjusted the volume, idk why because the restaurant was busy and active with large tables of families and kids! The both behind us, a small child was standing up and pounding on the plexiglass dividers. Suddenly, the female manger/owner pops in and using her hands goes to lower my grandsons iPad!! We were like, ok - but believe me it wasn't loud! We are respective of others and we could hardly hear anything with the people, talking, and enjoying their breakfast and the staff and normal kitchen noise - we were irritated with her being all she did was walk past us not more than twice. We are regular customers, patronized their business. My husband and I are there for breakfast at least 2-3x a week, and my grandson has accompanied us as well. The server and co manager was lovely, and breakfast was good as always, but I won't tolerate their Insensitivity and her treatment of not only my autistic grandson, but anyone! read more

This restaurant definitely does not cater to my age group. We met my mother in law for brunch on a Saturday and we were able to get a seat right away. Most of the patrons there were her age or older. The service was fast and nice enough. I had the fresh squeezed OJ, which was good. However, the food wasn't memorable and for lack of a better word, very basic. I had my typical corned beef and hash (its my thing, okay?) and that was fine. But the potatoes were overly burnt and my eggs were overly runny. Those weren't my jam. My husband loves coming to Lumes, but if given the choice, I think there are better brunch options in the area. One thing Lumes does have going for it is the speed at which it is able to seat customers. Often, even when it is crowded, my husband and I are able to get seated right away. The servers are not overly friendly, but they are mostly attentive. Because of the speed at which customers are moving in and out, I get the impression that they are a bit frazzled, and therefore do not have time for chit chat or multiple check-ins. Unfortunately, the food is lacking. It's not bad, but it's not great either. It really is your middle of the road Greek diner fare, and sometimes that is absolutely okay! If you want eggs and bacon, or a skillet, or a club sandwich, Lumes has you covered. The portion sizes are enormous, and you will probably end up taking half of it home, even if you are not dying to eat it again.
