    California omelet (split) with sausage

If you get Autumn as your server, you will be treated like royalty! She knows everything about their expansive menu and anticipates everything you may need. The food never disappoints and is amazing how good everything is for what looks like a hole in the wall restaurant in the middle of nowhere!

The soup was ok. Cream of anything soup needs to be blended (food background here), it needed salt and some lemon to make it better. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger (it was keyed in for a basic cheeseburger) , i added onions to it, burger came out piping hot, it tasted good though. The server just dropped the bill as she walked past (kind of irked me(whatever people have off days)), for 10am the place had maybe 15 patrons. The inside is beautifully decorated for the season.

Absolutely fabulous local diner and cafe, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Bright, clean, and inviting, serving some of the best classic American diner fare around. From savory to sweet, you'll find the menu is extensive, and throwing in some incredible Mexican flavor touches, you can have anything from a classic omelet or skillet, to a burrito or chilaquiles. Everything is homemade, and fresh. Staff is warm and personable, it's no wonder that people frequent this restaurant on the regular. I'm a huge cream of chicken fan, and I take it very seriously....and I can honestly say this was some of the best I have ever had. Squeeze some fresh lemon and sprinkle some crackers on top and I can assure you will be leaving with a quart of soup to go! Ordered the turkey panini, and the patty melt, took a stack of pancakes to go. This is a must have, midwestern gem, that gave me all the feels! Shout out to our sever Nicole, such a pleasure and truly made us feel right at home.

Finishing up your experience at Corner Grind you're sent off with a kind farewell and a need to come back. Corner Grind is the best because they want your experience to be as memorable as it can be. One thing I would love to see Corner Grind do is to extend its week-day hours. High schoolers that attend Kaneland, get out of school at 2:50. By the time I get out of the school parking lot and arrive at Corner Grind their closed. As a high schooler, I would and as many others would go to Corner Grind after school to get a drink or sandwich and utilize the environment to study and debrief from the long day at school. Even if the extension of business hours were just for another hour Corner Grind would have a lot of business for that hour due to the loyal customer base. Even without this change Corner Grind is still the best coffee shop in the Chicago land area.
