I have wanted to try Andres for breakfast and finally took a chance. The location is great with seating on the back porch for a sweeping river view. My Sister ordered the crepes filled with spinach, eggs and cheese.They were delish. The side of hash browns are homemade, sliced instead of diced and amazing. I ate the Maple Nut French Toast which was sprinkled with a generous amount of nuts and cooked to perfection. Attentive service. This is a family-owned business and the owners are just the nicest people in the world. Before the pandemic, my parents and aunts and uncles had breakfast there on Wednesday mornings and they sat for hours and laughed. They were never rushed out and they enjoyed hearing about the owners and their family in Chile. Yesterday I had breakfast there with a friend and I asked owner, Alejandra, if she remembered my family, which she did. She cried when I told her my mom and aunt had recently passed. Obviously this doesn't matter if the food isn't good, but it was delicious. I had the Mike's Frittata, which was excellent. I also had a side of fruit (for an up charge) which was worth it because I could tell it was fresh and not just poured out of a bag from a food supplier. My friend said she had been dreaming about their pancakes since her last visit. Be sure to stop by and support these lovely people. It's just a short walk from the Batavia Farmer's Market (in the summer). read more

The food here is really good, I had the biscuits and gravy and I will say that that was one of the best biscuits and gravy I've had and the hash browns weren't greasy like most places are. I stopped in here for Breakfast. It was a Thursday at 8Am and I was the first one there. The service was great being I was the only one there lol. The place was really clean and has a nice view of the fox river! I was going to order the Down South omelette because I love the Chorizo but I wanted my eggs over easy so I ordered the Mexican Skillet. I asked for some salsa on the side (the Down South Omelet comes with it) and she told me that would cost extra! My food came quickly and was hot. The eggs were done just right but I wish there was more Chorizo! The serving size was on the small side but that means no left overs. I will come back to try some of their other dishes. read more

Andre's restaurant in Batavia is a hidden gem with a great view of the river. They have generous seating both inside and outside. Their food is wonderful. I ordered the fajita wrap along with a bowl of poblano pork soup. The soup was delicious with enough heat to warm up after a cold autumn day. The fajita wrap was both juicy and tasty with flavors. My wife ordered the southwestern omelet and our friend ordered the cinnamon raisin French toast which they both loved. All the food is made from scratch by a husband & wife team that incorporate Chilean recipes into American style breakfasts & lunches. Both are very friendly & helpful. One of my favorite places for breakfast & lunch in Batavia. It is a nice quite place to meet and dine because you can hear each other. The food is excellent and portions are fair for the $. There was another table taken, with two people and two more came in while I was dining. I ordered Plain Waffle Combo, mine came with the 2 sunny side up eggs, Canadian bacon and Belgium Waffle. It did not take long for my food to come out. The presentation on the plate was very nice! I dug into the food. The Canadian bacon was first and it was a little hard and chewy. I went after eggs next, they were about what I would expect of them, nothing supremely special, average. Belgium waffle on the other hand was pretty good! The best thing I had of the three items. I got my check and went upfront to pay. Reached out and gave my AMEX... No go... Don't accept them... Even though it says on the door they do... Either accept them all or be a cash only, please! I was running an errand in Batavia and decided to look for a new spot to try for breakfast. Found this hidden gem along the East side of the Fox River just south of Wilson. Very cool location, with outdoor seating on the deck overlooking the river. Inside, very clean diner-like seating area. I had Mike's Frittata, which came with crispy thin-sliced breakfast potatoes and an English Muffin. The food was great and so was the price - $11.99. Excellent service and bottomless coffee. I'll be back when the weather is warmer so I can sit outside. read more

Sandi and I visited this restaurant as they were part of the local Batavia restaurant week. The restaurant itself is built along the Fox River. I would imagine that the deck is populated during the Summer. As we entered I was struck with the flavor of the local restaurant. We had many choices for breakfast as well as lunch. I chose the farmer''s frittata replacing the eggs with eggbeaters. The sides were an English muffin and home fried potatoes. The food was tasty as well as warm. The wait staff were extremely helpful. Great Place along the Fox River to have Breakfast or Lunch. You can eat inside or outside. The Hostesses are very polite. The Breakfast is made fresh. Wish they had a larger breakfast menu. They mainly have skillets and omelettes. They do have a kids menu. Orange juice is not fresh squeezed. Prices are great compared to IHOP. We had the Mexican Skillet and Pigs in a blanket. I had breaffast here, for the first time, with the family on a weekday morning. I think I've hit a bit of a jackpot with Andres ! The breakfast itself was delicious. I had the Bacado omelette (bacon and avocado). It comes with hash browns and buttered English muffin. I love hash browns, and these were diner perfect. Some places fancy up the hash browns with ham and whatnot, which is fine, but Andres does them straight. Perfectly browned and delicious. I usually get an English muffin instead of toast, so this was also perfect. The service was excellent. The price is extremely reasonable. I mean these are like 10 year old prices. A nice change from all the newer chic breakfast places that have plates costing twice as much because they're fancy (again nothing wrong with that I like those places too). I wanted a good place to get some fuel in me before going for a hike along the Fox River Trail. Andes delivers in spades. We had the entire patio to ourselves and enjoyed the view while we ate. Sure got us in the right frame of mind for our hike. I needn't comment on the view as it's mentioned 100 times here already. Pro tip: if you are going to go hiking do not park right next to the river, as that is controlled by the park district, and they will tow you if you're out for more than two hours. Or so I was told by our waitress. There is a small lot across the street that I used. read more

I was on the hunt for a new Sunday morning destination, to take my folks to. I wasn't amazed with their omelet, as the menu stated the eggs were folded in with the ingredients. They're actually just nestled in between the cooked eggs with the cheese melted atop. I kinda still enjoyed the hearty meal though. Folks enjoyed their crepes and Irish Benedict. Server wasn't very attentive. We had to ask for refills and the hot sauce twice. We were the only customers at 9am on a Sunday, but many followed in as we were eating. If it had been a few degrees warmer, we would of sat on the 2nd story porch, overlooking the Fox River. They do offer some unique menu items and will likely try them again. read more

For me to give 5 stars for a breakfast spot says something. Their location is beautiful, you just have to see it for yourself. Their food was outstanding, top quality, and the coffee was strong; I had several cups which is rare for me when eating out. And the service...the service was perfection, and can only be compared to the personal attention you get at Aris Kitchen. The prices were amazingly fair, and surprisingly low for the location (Overpriced everything in Naperville needs to take note of this). This place has my highest recommendation. read more
