Get error message that I don't have access on Google. Have been accessing Aldi on Google for over a year. No indication anywhere that Aldi's website is experiencing problems. No help available on the internet. Makes one wonder what kind if shady company Aldi is if they feel they must hide from their customers. All the other grocery stores offer help. This is a tough one, because I like Aldi, but it's just not that great. This review is based on selection, price, freshness, and ease of checkout. The selection is limited. All the essentials are there, just in smaller quantities, varieties, and brands. It's almost like the thrift store of groceries. You may pay 30% less, but chances are high that the product will not meet expectations. Freshness can be an issue for things like produce, meat etc... I recommend being sceptical, and scrutinize every item you plan to buy. Checking out is usually quick and easy. They always seem to be well staffed. I've never had any problems. read more

If you haven't been to an Aldi, you've been paying too much money for food. They keep prices down a number of ways: 1) You have to use a quarter to unlock the shopping carts, which you get back when you return it. This saves them paying for a person to get them from the parking lot. 2) Bring your own bag, use a leftover box, or pay for grocery bags. Another small item that if you are about sustainability you don't think much about, but keeps from wasting plastic. If you want, you can pay 5cents for a bag. 3) Almost everything they sell is off-brand. You don't have the 30-40% mark ups for the normal brands. I'm sure there is more they do to keep prices low, but I promise you you can't beat the prices here. They aren't as big of a store so they don't have everything a larger store would but for the regular stuff, you can save 100s a year. We drive the extra 5 mins out here for these prices. read more

Ok , So I decided to give this place a try,however I wasn't very impressed with the atmosphere and store .. It's just a warehouse that's different than any grocery store I have been to. You have to bring your own bags or buy some, you're going to need a quarter to get a cart yep you're renting it !! As far as prices and selection well you're going to find some great deals !! Just remember they are limited as to what they carry, so as a new experience it's wicked odd so guess give it a try and you'll be in for a experience.. read more

Just went into the all-newly remodeled store. It is much easier to navigate. Cold and frozen on the perimeter and now some nice fresh sandwich, sushi and meal choices when you come in. Hope they move the dumpster soon as parking is limited. The store was out of a lot of inventory--probably because the food looks so much more appetizing. Definitely will be shopping for certain produce and frozen goods here! read more

Thank goodness a LIDL is coming to Greensboro in Spring 2020. They're like Aldi but WAY BETTER - fresh baked goods, roomier stores, free carts. Every time I go to this Aldi location I get pi**** off. It's super cramped and yet they shove more displays and hand carts in the middle of aisles and insist on stocking shelves during heavy shopping hours. 90% of the staff is rude and barely speak to you. After he rang me up, the red-headed cashier pushed my cart away and let it roll until it slammed into the bagging counter. I'd rather go to Walmart, which has similar prices if you buy the store brands. read more

Don't let the term "budget supermarket" scare you away, you'll be surprised at the quality and variety of many of their products and how little you will pay for them compared to the bigger name grocery stores. In fact... did you know that Aldi is owned and operated by the SAME group that owns Trader Joe's? That's right. The much desired Trader Joe's is just another branch of Aldi Nord, so I suggest you give this place a try. Aldi is also not just for basics. Some surprising things you'll find at Aldi which have become staple purchases for me... Almond milk, coconut milk, canned and dried chipotle peppers, mole sauce, chorizo, queso fresco, quinoa, couscous, jasmine rice, a variety of fine cheeses, prosciutto, the list goes on and on. For my part... I like Aldi because they have all the staples you need, and would not really care about a brand for. For example... saltine crackers are 50 cents at Aldi from their store brand. A box of name brand saltines at Harris Teeter is going to be $2 or more. You are not going to find much variance in the world of saltine crackers on taste... so why pay extra? The same with their spices, which are significantly cheaper than name brand equivalents. Cinnamon is cinnamon. The other place they do well is their produce. With certain items you do need to be careful to inspect them, such as bagged onions or squash... but you're doing that wherever you go anyway. The thing that sticks out to me, is how cheap bell peppers are here compared to how expensive they are at other places. a 3 pack of multi-colored bell peppers is usually $2. A bag of the mini-sweet peppers is even less. They also stock organic produce at a fraction of the cost. Also, just to keep things interesting, they have a full selection of seasonal appropriate food or merchandise at different times of the year. These items rotate, and there is usually something intriguing available. As others have said... 1. Bring a quarter for a shopping cart. It works like the SmartCartes at the airport. The quarter unhooks the cart, and you get the quarter back when you return the cart. 2. Bring your own bags, but if you forget, their bags will cost you a dime or less. There are usually cardboard boxes available around the store you can grab too. 3. Bring cash or a DEBIT card. Credit cards not accepted. read more

I love this location out of all of them in GSO. The male manager that has been there a while is so nice and always smiles and says welcome! The girl with the long dark wavy hair is very nice too! I had a return and there is never a problem I feel very comfortable doing it and not awkward like at Harris teeter. Overall the whole staff is very helpful. They're recently completed significant renovations, making the store larger and somewhat roomier....but they've also increased prices by, I'd estimate, around 10%, on many items, including fresh produce, til now the best reason to shop here. Given that Harris Teeter and the rest have pretty good weekly specials it's not longer as obvious that Aldi is the place to go, so overall I think it's a change for the worse. read more

If you are shopping in Aldi to save money, you got to remember two things. (a) Bring a quarter to save dollars - For shopping cart (b) BYOB - Bring your own bags, preferably recyclable ones. Note - In case you forget to bring bags, you can grab an empty merchandise carton, if it is available. (They go fast - others forget too..) OR you will have to pay a few dimes for polythene bags, which are bad for environment anyway. You can find fine produce, seafood, Dairy, meat etc. They all private brand and rarely would you find name brand product in Aldi. But that is their way to let you save money. I really don't see a difference in quality. Additionally, Aldi promises 200% satisfaction guarantee on most products. If something is bad/ broken then they will replace the product and refund the money. read more

No one else can beat Aldi! Yes, their prices are unbelievably low, but I love them for another reason: I can be in and out in 10-15 minutes. Aldi only caries at most two varieties of an item, usually only one. You're not overwhelmed with choices. You don't have to stand there and sort through seven different brands of ketchup. Helpful Aldi tips: 1. Aldi only accepts cash or debit. UPDATE: Aldi now accepts credit cards! 2. Bring a quarter to borrow a cart. Please don't be one of those careless people that hold up the checkout line. 3. If shopping for produce, go early in the day as they tend to be picked over later. 4. Bring your own bags. I love, love, love Aldi. The prices are superb, people are nice and helpful and the place is clean. I don't mind the fact that a quarter is required to use a shopping cart. Actually, I prefer it. It encourages shoppers to keep the place neat and orderly. When you put a quarter in, don't you want your quarter back? They have unique items which I love. They don't always have everything from week to week. You have to watch the color of the price. Meaning if the price is in red, it's a special item. Aldi is not a one stop shop. The prices are cheap BUT the have good quality, I love their veggies, guacamole, the crackers are the best, the detergent is good and dont have a string odor, they have for Christmas some crackers, cookies and different sweets from Germany that are worthy to try, I just like this place a lot. read more

Aldi is perfect for your basics. Very reasonably priced. Quick and easy shopping experience. Checkout staff are fast and friendly. They sell a lot of processed food (like all places), but they've got some hidden gems if you look for them. Dried fruits, nuts, blue corn tortilla chips, German rye bread, pesto sauce, organic soy milk, good selection of cheeses, Chianti for $5, marzipan, and more. I can usually walk out of here spending less than $30 on all my produce, wine, and other staples for the week. Again, this is a great place for your basics. They won't have everything you need, but it's perfect for what it is. on a random note, wouldn't recommend the cat food. Our cat will barely touch it! read more

This is a chain of stores owned by Trader Joe's parent company. It is a small, no nonsense type store where you can go in, get your items quickly, and leave. This is great for me, since I tend to dislike grocery shopping. Their items are cheap, but they are of higher quality than you think since they control the stock. I purchased good quality cheese here as well as eggs, and bread. I also found some baskets for purchase which I use for laundry. I wish they were open later sometimes, since I came here about 5 minutes before 8:00 and they close then. However the staff were very accommodating. I will definitely be back. read more

I just began shopping at this store a couple of months ago and I don't know why it took me so long. While the store is small, the selection is great. All fruits, vegetables and meats are of high quality. Likewise they have everything that any big chain grocery store has. But the best part is the prices. My favorite thing to do when leaving is to stare at the receipt in wonderment. Many of their products are half as much as you would pay at a typical grocery store, and are of equal or better quality. The staff is very nice and efficient as well. You may think you might have to wait in line awhile but it is amazing how fast the lines move. Stop wasting your time and money at the giant chain supermarkets and shop here! read more

I've been shopping at the other Aldi in Greensboro, the one on High Point Road, I think, and after my trip to this location on Feb. 14, I think I'll actually start going here. The store was clean, but very crowded and the staff was nice despite how busy they were. They also have a wider selection than the other store. They have a few big name brands at still lower prices. i will go back to this store, for sure! read more

Went there to check it out after their months-long renovation. Produce quality was not great -- I was in a hurry and bought some pre-packed green beans. When I got home and opened the package they were covered with white mold. Yuck! Phone numbers for all Aldi stores are unlisted so there was no way to contact the manager and complain. Will shop somewhere else next time. read more
