Best strawberries in NC. I think I am addicted. EXTREMELY friendly and helpful service. You…read morepick or they pick, it doesn't matter. While, I was there, a gentleman drove in from NJ. He was having an annual party here and ordered strawberries for 70 people to be picked up the next day. He said, that his Furniture Mart Party was best known for it's strawberry shortcake and it was not the same without strawberries from Bernie's Berries. If you want to pick your own, they have a convenient courtesy cart to drive you to your "picking point". Even with elementary school classes on field trips, there is plenty of room for picking or just picking up. I have also had their fresh produce. We quit growing cabbage after tasting theirs. I just became a regular. The fresh tender beets were divine also. As the season progresses, you will find yourself making Bernie's Berries produce stand a regular for your local fresh food shopping. Only a couple of miles off of I-85 this patch is conveniently located on Groometown Road, just past Kivet. You can't miss it. If your idea is buy local and eat fresh vegetables then stop in and talk to the wonderful people on how they grow not only their berries but their produce. Lots of produce later in the year....

The vitamin section is always one of my favorite places to find healthy and helpful items for just about anything. They have an amazing selection of protein powders and nutrition bars as well. I don't really leave reviews or take the time to review things of this nature, but when I tell you…read moreI am GOOD off of Sprouts, I mean it. I went to Sprouts two days in a row looking for their family meal deal. I was told they were having an issue with a late truck, and I completely understand that things happen that are outside of the store's control. My issue was not that the truck was late. My issue was how the situation was handled. I asked to speak with a manager because I was hoping there might be some type of alternative solution. For example, if the store didn't have the cooked salmon available, perhaps they could have offered the raw salmon as an alternative. Instead, I was simply told that they couldn't control the trucks because they weren't their trucks, and that was pretty much the end of the conversation. I went ahead and paid for my groceries. The same manager I had spoken with apparently gave me a $5 coupon, but she never communicated that to me. She came to the register, swiped something, and walked away. I had no idea what had even happened until I later realized I had received $5 off. I am not someone who normally complains. I truly don't have the time or energy for it. But I was kind, respectful, and understanding throughout the entire interaction. I used to work in management, and I understand that you can't always fix every problem. However, you can offer alternatives when possible, and if there is no alternative, simply treating the customer with kindness and acknowledging their frustration goes a long way. I ultimately contacted Sprouts customer service to express my concerns. I wasn't complaining about the manager personally. I was explaining that I had come to the store two days in a row, the product still wasn't available, and I wasn't offered any alternative. What happened next was honestly weird and nasty. The manager, who I believe was named Tia, called me after I contacted customer service. There was no, "Hello, how are you?" or even an acknowledgment of my concerns. The conversation started with her saying something along the lines of, "Ma'am, I gave you $5 off," in a very stern and demanding tone. I said, "Okay, well, I didn't realize that." And that was basically the end of the conversation. No apology. No empathy. No, "I'm sorry we weren't able to accommodate you." No acknowledgment of the fact that I had gone to the store two days in a row. Just a phone call to tell me that she gave me $5 off, as if that somehow resolved the issue. I took FOUR Ubers to Sprouts. Two the first day and two the next day, just to go to the store and purchase food. I made the effort to come back a second day, and I was still understanding about the situation. The least I expected was to be treated with basic courtesy and respect. Instead, I received a phone call that felt as though I had done something wrong or inconvenienced her personally. Ma'am, I am the CUSTOMER. I didn't call you to argue. I called customer service to share my experience and hopefully help address the issue. And let's be clear, this was never about $5. I came into the store expecting to purchase a family meal that would have cost around $30, and I still ended up spending $62 in the store. The $5 wasn't the issue. The lack of communication, customer service, and basic kindness was the issue. The other employees I interacted with seemed perfectly pleasant, so this isn't about everyone at the store. But the management experience left a LOT to be desired. I used to be in management, and one thing I know for sure is that you don't have to be able to fix every problem. But you should know how to communicate, offer solutions when possible, and treat people with kindness. If you don't like your job or don't want to deal with customers, maybe it's time to find something else. As for me, I'm good on Sprouts. They can have it. I'll find another location, or I'll just shop at Trader Joe's. Y'all have a good one with that.

I went to this market to get ingredients for Lao Sausage. The produce section is well stocked, with…read morepractically everything you need for southeast Asian cooking. However, when I bought fresh chilli peppers, some were moldy. And so was my lemongrass, but I still could use most of it. Some of their vegetables and herbs could undeniably be more fresh. The store had an Asian section, and a mexican/African section, and the meat department was in between both. This store has different ailses for different cuisines, and I had a hard time finding Thai sticky rice because at first I didn't realize the store setup But, they did indeed have Thai sticky rice, though the selection wasn't great.(for sticky rice.) I even saw at the back of the store a little section for European refrigerated and non-regfrigerated items, and was pleasantly surprised to spot kvass(A fermented Slavic bread drink). The main complaint I have with this store, and the reason I didn't give it 5 stars was their meat selection is quite terrible. The meat(pork, beef, chicken), was not much to choose from, which is one of the main reasons I came to that store. Since this was an Asian and multicultural store, I specifically expected they would have animal parts that stores like Wal-Mart don't carry, such as pig ears and skin. But, their pork selection was even worse than Wal-Mart, and the meat looked old and it SMELLED. All meat smells, but ESPECIALLY there. Do NOT buy meat from that store and don't expect to find pig or cow parts if you need it for Lao or southeast Asian dishes in general. Ignoring the meat section, the store is actually pretty well stocked, and has lots of hidden gems. However, I'd like to make a note for anyone looking for specific items there. They don't carry sausage casings, I asked. And though they have a very good selection of Japanese glutinous rice that's easy to find, their Thai sticky rice selection is pretty bad, so I wouldn't actually go there to buy sticky rice. My mom kept saying the meat also looked like garbage and that the store was dirty, but I was so busy running around trying to find sticky rice that I wasn't paying attention to the stores cleanliness honestly So yeah! I would go here again, but absolutely not for meat. When I got to checkout, me and my mom saw a Jamaican man with a cart full of very oxidized and reeking oxtails and we were shocked that he would seriously buy those from super-G mart.

They recently started stocking cups of ice so you can have a cold drink on the go. We tried the Melon Ade with Lychee jelly and it was really refreshing and delicious. I would definitely recommend giving some of the drinks a try the next time you stop in. We also tried a sweet cheese bar found in the refrigerated section. They had several flavors and we tried the coconut almond and chocolate caramel. I did not like the chocolate caramel at all but the coconut almond was really good. We have a few other items we are going to try later so I'll have to post more photos once I give them a try.

I visited the farmers market on a gloomy Saturday and honestly had such a good time exploring all…read morethe vendors. Even with the cloudy weather, there was plenty going on and so many different things to choose from. There were independent vendors selling everything from coffee, lemonade, kettle corn, pork rinds, pastries, flowers, candles, mushrooms, handmade soaps, dairy products, meats, essential oils, and more. There were also plenty of seasonal items like mums, pumpkins, tomatoes, and lots of apples to choose from. I almost talked myself into buying some mums and some handpicked flowers, but I couldn't commit this time. There were just too many vendors to choose from! Of course, I did leave with a few things. I grabbed some tomatoes, coffee, and lemonade. I also stopped by Las Mas Empanadas and got three empanadas: spinach and cheese, onion and cheese, and caprese. I had a great conversation with the owner, who was super nice and welcoming. I also talked with the owner of Hook & Ladder and loved hearing his story. He was incredibly friendly and it was nice getting to know a little more about the person behind the business. Another vendor that caught my attention was Bonjour Y'all. I spoke with the baker behind the stall and found out that he actually studied under the owner of Breakfast in Paris here in Greensboro, which immediately made me want to try his pastries. I love Breakfast in Paris, so I was excited to give his treats a try. I picked up an apple pastry and a cinnamon roll, and I'm definitely looking forward to trying more from him. There are also several vendors that seem to have permanent or more permanent spots inside the covered/enclosed area. There's even an ice cream shop that also sells coffee, which is a fun bonus. The market is really easy to navigate, with parking on both sides, sidewalks, accessible bathrooms, and an ATM on site. It's handicap accessible and very wagon-friendly, so bringing a little one along is no problem. Most vendors accept both cash and cards. Everyone I interacted with was super friendly, and I really enjoyed being able to actually talk to the people behind the businesses and hear their stories. There's a great mix of food, produce, baked goods, flowers, handmade products, and local businesses. Overall, it's a great Saturday stop whether you're looking to grab breakfast or coffee, shop for fresh produce, pick up some seasonal items, discover local vendors, or just walk around and see what catches your eye. I definitely left with more than I planned to, and I'm already looking forward to going back and trying some of the vendors I didn't get to this time.

I had recently moved to Asheboro and soon realized there are no solid farmers markets here and in my research located RGSPTFM. When I took the turn into the grounds, I was quickly impressed. They have a section for flowers and plants, a section for outdoor decor and gardening supplies, a section for crafts and such, a FOOD TRUCK section, and of course 2 large areas for produce, meats, cheeses, baked goods, fresh floral arrangements, local honey, fresh eggs and so much more. It's so much fun to head out on a Saturday morning and walk through all of the sections. Lots of friendly vendors selling their wares and lots of people watching if you are into that. I come for the meats, produce, and homemade baked goods and have yet to be disappointed. So bring your shopping bags, wear your comfortable shoes and head on over for a wholesome weekend experience I highly recommend!
